Franklin County pulled away late in the game to defeat Madison Central 69-59 and hand the Lady Indians their second loss of the season. Madison Central led 57-56 with 2:26 remaining in the game when Jenna Cornelison fouled out of the game. Franklin County closed out the game on a 13-2 run connecting on 13 of 16 free throws as Madison Central began to foul to regain possession. There were 14 lead changes and 11 ties in this game with the final score being the largest margin of the night.
Franklin County shot 47.6% from the field including zero of two from beyond the arc. The Lady Flyers connected on 29 of 41 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 17 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 36.4% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 21 Franklin County turnovers.
5-11 Sr. Andrea Howard led Franklin County with 19 points including nine of 12 free throws and pulled down five rebounds. 5-10 Sr. Chelsea Craig added 15 points including seven of seven free throws and pulled down eight rebounds. 5-10 So. Ashli Mayes chipped in with 14 points and nine rebounds.
5-5 Fr. Larryn Brooks led Madison Central with 16 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. 5-9 Jr. Jenna Cornelison and 5-5 Sr. Christina Ciolek each recorded 11 points.

Scott County pulled away in the second half for a 62-48 victory over Lexington Christian Academy. Scott County shot 46.9% from the field including one of seven from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 33.3% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored five points off 15 Scott County turnovers.
5-10 Sr. Madisen Webb led Scott County with 22 points, five rebounds, and eight assists. 5-10 Jr. Kristen Stainback added 17 points. 5-9 Jr. Alex McKenzie chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds. 5-10 8th grader Tereka Guyn chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds.
6-2 Sr. Sarah Beth Barnette closed out a brilliant career with LCA with 31 points including three three point baskets and 10 rebounds. Miss Barnette is another top candidate for Miss Basketball and finishes her career with three All ‘A’ titles and one state championship. 5-11 Jr. Kelli Rinehart added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
