Seneca coach Elmer Bennett started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Martez Harris, 6-4 Sr. Aaron Nance, 6-4 Sr. Andre Hearn, 6-2 Jr. Kevin Shaw, and 6-2 Sr. Zach McElwain. Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-4 Sr. Chad Jackson, 6-3 Sr. Austin Flannery, 6-8 Sr. Dakotah Euton, 6-2 Sr. Ge-Lawn Guyn, and 6-3 So. Tamron Manning.
Scott County scored 32 points off 25 Seneca turnovers in a 74-64 victory. Scott County led 59-38 late in the third quarter but Seneca outscored Scott County 24-15 in the final quarter to cut the margin in half. There was five ties and seven lead changes in the game.
Scott County shot 33.3% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 18 of 21 free throws and pulled down 50 rebounds. Seneca shot 41.9% from the field including two of 17 from beyond the arc. The Redhawks connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.
Austin Flannery led Scott County with 26 points including four three point baskets. Chad Jackson added 19 points, nine rebounds, and four steals. Dakotah Euton recorded 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Kevin Shaw led Seneca with 20 points including two three point baskets and recorded six rebounds and five steals. Aaron Nance and 6-4 Jr. Walter Alexander chipped in with 10 and nine points respectively.
