IWF Charity Bowling Challenge August 10, Edison, NJ:
Proceeds to Benefit "The Imus Ranch" for Kids with Cancer

(Edison, NJ)- As part of our Community Outreach Program, the Independent Wrestling Federation proudly announces it will host its second annual "IWF Charity Bowling Challenge" this summer.

This year's festivities take place Saturday, August 10, 2002, 5 pm, at Brunswick Edison Bowl, 1695 Oak Tree Road, Edison, NJ. Proceeds benefit "The Imus Ranch" for Kids with Cancer.

Since 1990, Don Imus from the popular "Imus in the Morning" program has headlined a radiothon with New York's "Sports Radio 66 WFAN" that has raised over $50 million to benefit charities such as The Imus Ranch, Tomorrows Children's Fund, and the CJ Foundation for SIDS.

"The Imus Ranch" is a 3,000-acre authentic working cattle ranch in Ribera, New Mexico, just outside of Santa Fe. The ranch provides kids with cancer or serious blood disorders, and children who have lost siblings to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, the experience of the great American cowboy.

This affair is your chance to bowl with your favorite wrestlers while raising funds for a wonderful charity. Knocking down pins instead of knocking heads will be IWF Champion Biggie Biggs, Kevin Knight, AJ Sparxx, Roman, Hadrian, and the entire IWF roster, plus students from CAMP IWF.

Donation is $20 per bowler, which includes three games, shoes, and a donation. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team, and the event is open to the public.

During the first annual "IWF Charity Bowling Challenge" in 2001, nearly $1000 was raised for the Tomorrows Children's Fund as former ECW star Simon Diamond captured first place.

IWF corporate partners for this year's bowling challenge include the CAMP IWF Pro Wrestling Training Program, NetPerspective.com, RinaldiEvents.com, and Pro Wrestling Monthly Newsletter.

For information or to register to bowl, call the IWF at 973-345-7745. For directions to Brunswick Edison Bowl, call 732-548-4550. For "The Imus Ranch" information, call WFAN at 718-706-7690.

In addition to the annual bowling challenge, the IWF's Community Outreach Program conducts a Food and Clothing Drive every holiday season for the New Jersey Chapter of the American Red Cross. Also, IWF wrestlers make an annual holiday visit to the Tomorrows Children's Fund, located at the Don Imus/WFAN Pediatric Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ.

The IWF produces live professional wrestling events year-round throughout New Jersey, many of which serve as fundraisers for charitable organizations. The IWF also operates the CAMP IWF Pro Wrestling Training Centre in West Paterson, NJ. For further information, visit WrestlingIWF.com.
