Upgrade Complete - Level Decks

Level Decks were introduced in the English game with the release of Soul of the Duelist. The set contained the Horus Family, the Armed Family, and 2/3 of the Mystic Swordsman Family. Rise of Destiny continued the LV theme with Mystic Swordsman LV 6 and the beginning of the Silent Swordsman family.

All of these decktypes are vastly different, even though they are all Level Decks. The basic levels run as 2/4/6 or 3/5/7, and each LV can summon the next LV by using the card Level Up! or by completing a task described on the card. Most of the time the task is to destroy a monster with the card, but for the lower levels sometimes all that must be done is to keep it on the field until your next Standby Phase.

Most of the top levels have game-breaking effects; a good reward if you have the patience or luck to summon them.
