Silent Swordsman is best used in a hybrid with Mystic Swordsman. The two Warrior themes have the same basic support, and the ability to negate all magics and soft lock the opponent is POWERFUL. Mystic Swordsman also gets rid of those pesky flip effects which can be the downfall of Silent Swordsman.
Not much to say here; I'd personally Level Up one family tree at a time, then focus on the other. If you choose to upgrade Silent first, then you won't be able to use Level Up on LV 4, so I'd upgrade the Mystic Swordsmen first. Mystic Swordsman LV 6 can also clear the field for a direct attack from LV 5.
