Laptops:  they generally weigh between 10 and 16 pounds.  The keyboard and display are connected, but the keyboard is smaller than a PC.  Most use a touch pad as a pointing device, but a mouse or a trackball may also be used.

Notebooks:  these are a smaller version of the laptop.  They are roughly the size of a notebook.

Powerbooks:  these are Macintosh portables.
