Fast Draw Restoration Pg. 2

This is the 2nd of 2 pages documenting the restoration of my 'Fast Draw'. This page shows the machine before and after the repair to the burned wiring inside.

Before and after shots of the inside motor board and playfield wiring.

Before shots of the inside motor board and playfield wiring.

After shots of the inside motor board and playfield wiring.

Problems when I first started it up:
1. After 5th ball, motor continued to run.
Solution: A drop of solder was shorting 2 switches on the End of Game relay. Removed and was fine.
2. Player unit advancing 1 step too far after each ball.
Solution: Contacts on coin unit not making proper contact. Checked and adjusted further, problem solved.
3. Right target bank not registering when targets drop.
Solution: I got 2 wires switched when reconnecting burned off wires. Checked schematic and corrected.
4. Right center target registering 500 instead of 5000 point when when lit.
Solution: Checked contacts on 50 point relay. 1 not making proper contact.
5. Extra Bonus light not coming on on 5th ball.
Solution: Contact on Last ball relay not making proper contact- adjusted and fixed.
6. Would not tap on more than a 1 player game.
Solution: End of stroke switch on coin unit was open. Adjusted tension for proper contact- fixed.

The game is fully functional as of November 6, 2003. The total play meter read 105,472 the first time I attempted to start the game after the restoration. I have played a few dozen games by now and it is working great and is a FUN game to play!

High Score as of 1-2-04: 176,260.
