Favorite Bible Passages
The bible passages below are some of my many favorites. I read these passages for encouragement, guidance, motivation, inspiration, and more. When going through certain obstacles, it is good to know I can turn to God's word to get me through. Even if I am not going through, I can always turn to God's word when I want to thank Him or give Him the praise. Take time to read them. The Bible Passages will be updated every week. May the word of God penetrate and quench the thirstiness in your soul.
PSALM 91
A Prayer for Protection
He who dwells in the secret place the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You will shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor ofthe pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.
Second Chronicles 7:14-16
"...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and my eyes and My heart will be there perpetually."
Lay Up Treasures in Heaven
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 7:19-21)
Romans 8:27-30
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For whom he foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he predestined these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He glorfied.
Meditate on These Things
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9)
