How To Create a Link to a Section
of a Page In HTML
Below is the code you can paste into the html of your page at the
point your HowTo starts. It is not necessary to surround any text with this
Anchor tag. Simply place the tag into your code at the location on the page you
want the bookmark link to point to Replace the whatever with the name of
the spot (i.e. middle or bkmk2).

the above code becomes a hyperlink to the anchor you created with the first
section of code.

In FrontPage If
you are managing your web with FP2000 you simply place your cursor where
you want your bookmark and select Insert >Bookmark.
Type the name of your bookmark in the pop up dialog box. In Normal view
you will see a small flag icon marking the spot. This of course does not
show up on your web page. To create
a link to it, highlight the text (or image) you want to use and select Insert
> Hyperlink. Select your page from the pop up window then
click on the down arrow next to the Bookmark text box (near the bottom
of the window) and select your bookmark from the drop-down list.
This bookmark
link will take you back to the 'How To Submit a How To Link'
article. If you look at the bottom of this window on the status bar, you
should see the path of the link with the # mark and the bookmark name,
in this case bkmk1.
