Nature > Wildlife 

  • How To care for a frog or toad.  Of course it's best to leave it free, but if your child has found one and fallen in love, here's the best way to take care of it according to Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center.
  • How To care for a lizard.  According to Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center most lizards are too active to be kept in a terrarium, but we know there are at least a few exceptions. Here's the basics of How To.
  • How To care for a salamander.  According to Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center "Salamanders make one of the best amphibians to keep in a terrarium."
  • How To care for a snake.  You will have to check federal and state law on the legality of keeping a particular snake species in your area first.

  • How To do things with a nucleic acid or peptide sequence.  This How To involves RNA DNA research and the specialized search engines used in this type of research on the web. Scientists are able to enter the sequence they are investigating and find out what information has already been gathered on it, or how to translate it into a protein sequence format if I understand correctly.

  • How To Succeed in Physical Science.  Unlike most physical science text books this one has minimal mathematics "so that you can concentrate on what happens and why it happens, as opposed to abstract equations used for predicting scientific events." Once you understand this the mathematics make a lot more sense and are much easier to learn. One of the topics covered in this course is "The Physics of Computer Games"
