NOTE: Not all sites listed under this heading advocate independence from the USA, but all contain (or contain links to) information about the former (and future?) Confederate States of America, and the current problems over the display of the Confederate flag.
There are serious debates over there having been Black Confederate Soldiers,, but it has been documented that there were Hispanic, Native American and even Jewish soldiers who fought for the Confederacy.
Also. the Hebrew Confederate Cemetery on Shockoe Hill in Richmond, Virginia, is the only Jewish military cemetery in the world outside of Israel.
This website does not promote, support, condone, encourage, advocate, nor in any way endorse any racist (or "racialist") ideologies, nor any armed and/or violent revolutionary, seditionist and/or terrorist activities. Any racial separatist or militant groups listed here are solely for reference. Also, under Article 6a of the Gereral Terms and Conditions of Lycos, Inc. (provider of this site's webspace), I cannot:
"Upload, post, email, otherwise transmit, or post links to any Content, or select any member or user name or email address, that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, libelous, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, hateful, or racially, sexually, ethnically or otherwise objectionable."
In the cases that the group or its website's content is under these categories, the URL will be listed, so that it may be copied and pasted into your web browser's address block.
Note: In the North, the war is commonly known as "The Civil War".
In the South, it is commonly known as "The War Between the States".
Also, many of these sites are programmed to play "Dixie" when opened.
"Dixie" (aka "I Wish I Was In Dixie Land") was written in 1859
by Daniel Decatur Emmett (1815-1904) for a traveling minstrel show.
There is serious doubt if the song was ever officially adopted as the CSA's national anthem.
Also, the Ohio-born Mr. Emmett was a staunch supporter of the Union.

Not a Confederate reconstructionist group, but a monthly ultra-conservative newsletter. While there a number of well-written and well-researched articles on this site (including a number of articles on the Confederate flag controvercy), the overall bias of the site is strongly anti-immigration and only hints at racism. Links promoting racist music by Skrewdriver, Brutal Attack and Bound For Glory were once on this site, but are now removed. AR seems to be changing it's image, being more racially aware than racist. However, the website has an enitre page devoted to anti-White statements made by Black celebrities (many out of context), so all I can say is "Caveat emptor." http://www.amren.com
"...founded in June 1992 as the FIRST southern nationalist organization, dedicated not only to preserving the Confederate heritage but to restoring the sovereignty of our nation; a sovereignty that was immorally and unjustly taken by the Grand Tyrant Lincoln and his Industrialist cronies in their War of Aggression, 1861-1865." - from the website
"This is the official web page of the Confederate States of America. Official statutes and journals of Congress of 1861-1865 are contained herein and are, for the most part, still binding upon the Confederate States of America as is the ratified C.S.A. Constitution of 1861."
"The national Government of the Confederate States of America does not, at this time, have any salaried personnel, but does pay some reimbursement of expenses of contractors for work contracted for by the government. It is important to note that the national Government is not structured to legally have control of the State C.S.A. Governments, but rather for them to function with the national Government and each other in accordance with the national C.S.A. Constitution and their own State Confederate Constitutions according to the dictates of the Citizens therein."-from the website
Pro-Confederate site promoting, and liked to, other "racialy aware" sites such as American Renaissance and Council of Conservative Citizens
"Here at WDXB, you will hear pro-Southern broadcasting 24 hours every day and seven days a week! We are unapologetically dedicated to preserving Southern heritage by helping to pave the way for the future of the South.
"You will hear a mixture of traditional Southern music, stirring new songs of the Southern Movement, informative and inspiring speeches on the Southern Cause of yesterday and today, news presented from a decidedly Southern perspective, and numerous special events highlighting the ongoing Southern Movement today." - from the website
Guarding our future by protecting our past. - website slogan
"The Heritage Preservation Association (HPA) is a national nonprofit membership organization utilizing educational resources along with legal and political action to protect and preserve the symbols, culture and heritage of the American South. HPA has members in 49 states and 6 countries with chapters in 10 states." - from the website
Affiliated with the CSA-Store
An organization of descendants of Confederate war veterans. The organization is the direct heir to United Confederate Veterans.
NOTE: According to reports by the Southern Poverty Law Center in 2002 and 2007, this organization has effectively been taken over by white racialists, causing membership to fall sharply.
"This web site provides vital information for those concerned with preserving Southern Heritage, from the merely interested, to those under attack by South bashers, to the attorneys fighting to stop these abuses." - from the website
"United Daughters of the Confederacy is the outgrowth of many local memorial, monument and Confederate Home Associations and auxiliaries to Camps of Confederate Veterans which were organized after the War Between the States. It is the oldest patriotic organization in our country because of its connection with two statewide organizations which came into existence as early as 1890, namely the Daughters of the Confederacy (DOC) in Missouri and the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Confederate Soldiers Home in Tennessee." - from the website
(This group was officially founded in 1894.)

And while we're on the topic of the South:
Pay a visit to Christian Willis' magnificent website, devoted to preserving the memory of "Song of the South", based on the Uncle Remus cycle of stories by Joel Chandler Harris, and the controversy that has kept it from being shown in the USA since 1986.
Out-of-print copies of the film on PAL (European Standard 625-line analog video) VHS tape that were released in the United Kingdom are often available on eBay. If you live in a country that does not use PAL standard analog TV (such as the USA and Canada) and you don't have a convertible VCR, you'll have to hire someone to make a transfer into NTSC (the North American analog video standard) once you get the tape. Check your phone directory for "Video Conversion Services".
There are a variety of sources on-line where unauthorized DVD copies are available, but none can be listed on this site (unless you want to pay my legal bills), and I personally can't vouch for any, so please don't ask. All I can suggest is to type "Song of the South" (with quotation marks) and "+ DVD" in your search engine, and let the buyer beware. And, no, there never was a DVD release sold at Disneyland Paris.
