Bowling Green scored on a 7 yard pass from Jarret Doege to Quintin Morris and a two point conversion pass from Jarret Doege to Wayne-Prather with 6:47 left in the game to earn a 42-35 come-from-behind victory over Eastern Kentucky.  EKU had one last opportunity and advanced to the Bowling Green 15 in the closing seconds but two passes into the end zone fell incomplete to ensure the Bowling Green victory.  Bowling Green recorded 26 first downs and 388 yards of total offense.  They were penalized eight times for 69 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 23 first downs and 498 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 88 yards and lost three fumbles.

Andrew Clair led Bowling Green’s ground game with 90 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries.  Rico Frye carried the ball seven times for 37 yards.  Jarret Doege completed 28 of 39 passes for 258 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Quintin Morris caught eight passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns.  D. Phouthavong added seven catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns.  RB Marlow recorded seven receptions for 45 yards.  Jerry McBride led the defense with nine solo and five assisted tackles and recovered a fumble he returned 50 yards.  Brandon Harris added five solo and eight assisted tackles.  Kholbe Coleman recorded four solo and six assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Karl Brooks added six solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Fred Garth tallied eight assisted tackles and Melvin Jackson recorded a fumble.

Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 168 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.  Dakota Allen carried the ball 10 times for 63 yards and a touchdown.  LJ Scott added 50 yards on 10 carries.  Alphonso Howard carried the ball five times for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Dakota Allen completed six of 14 passes for 109 yards.  Jaelin Carter caught two passes for 67 yards.  LJ Scott returned three kickoffs for 91 yards with a long return of 46 yards.  Ben Bascom led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles.  Steven Crowder added seven solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Crowder also intercepted a pass he returned four yards.  L. Humphrey recorded three solo and five assisted tackles.  Gavin Bryant added two solo and six assisted tackles.  Aaron Patrick recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.

Marshall led 13-0 after the first quarter on their way to a 32-16 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Marshall held a 367-187 advantage in total yards and forced five Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  However Marshall was guilty of four turnovers losing the ball twice on punt returns and losing a fumble on a kickoff return.  They also had an extra point attempt blocked.  Marshall recorded 17 first downs and 367 yards of total offense.  They were penalized eight times for 70 yards, lost three fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  EKU recorded 11 first downs and 187 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized six times for 40 yards, lost two fumbles, and had three passes intercepted.

Willie Johnson led Marshall’s ground game with 36 yards on two carries.  Tyler King carried the ball 11 times for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Isaiah Green completed 23 of 39 passes for 278 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Tyre Brady caught six passes for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Xavier Gaines added three receptions for 60 yards.  Obi Obialo recorded two receptions for 60 yards and two touchdowns.  Keion Davis returned one kickoff for 30 yards.  A. Anderson returned two kickoffs for 35 yards with a long return of 24 yards.  Chase Hancock led the defense with three solo and nine assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Malik Gant added two solo and nine assisted tackles.  Ty Tyler recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  F. Hernandez added two solo and five assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 29 yards.  J. McClain-Snapp and B. Drayton also each intercepted a pass.  Artis Johnson recovered a fumble.

Alphonso Howard led EKU’s ground game with 64 yards on 13 carries.  LJ Scott carried the ball seven times for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Dakota Allen completed five of 10 passes for 38 yards.  Austin Scott completed two of six passes for 10 yards with three interceptions.  Jackson Beerman caught two passes for 18 yards.  Dan Paul added two receptions for 13 yards.  Darien Tipps-Clemons returned a punt 38 yards.  LJ Scott returned four kickoffs 102 yards with a long return of 37 yards.  Ben Bascom led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Leodis Moore III added three solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss, intercepted a pass and blocked a kick.  Aaron Patrick recorded seven assisted tackles.

Eastern Kentucky University pulled away in the second half to take a commanding 42-7 lead over Morehead State on their way to a 49-23 victory.  The Colonels utilized a powerful ground game tonight recording 404 net yards and four touchdowns on 61 carries for a 6.6 yard per carry.  EKU recorded 29 first downs and 564 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 67 yards and lost a fumble.  Morehead State recorded 15 first downs and 332 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized four times for 45 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Daryl McCleskey led EKU’s ground game with 125 yards on 14 carries.  LJ Scott carried the ball 14 times for 86 yards and two touchdowns.  Jason Lewis added 70 yards on 10 carries.  Ralph Patton recorded 42 yards on six carries.  Alonzo Booth carried the ball five times for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Ellis Cain added 18 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Dakota Allen completed nine of 14 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown.  Austin Scott completed four of eight passes for 13 yards and a touchdown.  Alphonso Howard completed both his passes for 54 yards.  Jaelin Carter caught three passes for 11 yards.  Jackson Beerman added two receptions for 31 yards.  Neiko Creamer recorded two receptions for 20 yards.  Dan Paul caught two passes for 18 yards and two touchdowns.  Dakota Allen and Ethan Bradds added one reception each for 28 and 26 yards respectively.  BK Smith returned three punts for 34 yards with a long return of 20 yards.  LJ Scott returned two kickoffs for 66 yards including a long return of 35 yards.  Matthew Jackson led the defense with two solo and five assisted tackles.  Gavin Bryant added three solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Aaron Patrick recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.  Josh Hayes and Dillon Denault each intercepted a pass.

Jovan Smith led Morehead State’s ground game with 54 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Issiah Aguero carried the ball six times for 21 yards and two touchdowns.  Lawson Page completed 20 of 34 passes for 221 yards with two interceptions.  Landon Hurst caught four passes for 44 yards.  Jordan Huffman added three receptions for 53 yards.  DeVonte Adams caught three passes for 22 yards.  J. Higginbotham, Kyle Gilbert, Sugar Ray Wyche Jr., and Cortney Laye each caught two passes for 29, 23, 22, and 19 yards respectively.  Issiah Aguero returned two kickoffs for 45 yards including a long return of 25 yards.  Aaron Turk returned three kickoffs for 60 yards with a long return of 30 yards.  Jamil Butler led the defense with two solo and seven assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Sayyid Kanu added three solo and five assisted tackles.  Eldee Edwards III and Brandyn Duncan each recorded three solo and four assisted tackles.

Austin Peay earned a 31-24 come-from-behind victory over Eastern Kentucky to improve their record to 7-4 for the season.  Eastern Kentucky record drops to 3-7.  Eastern Kentucky led 24-7 in the third quarter but Austin Peay scored 24 unanswered points to claim the win.  Jeremiah Oatsvall scored on an eight yard run and Logan Birchfield added the conversion kick with 53 seconds left in the game to give the Governors the winning margin.  Keawvis Cummings intercepted a Tim Boyle pass in the end zone in the closing seconds to ensure the victory.  Austin Peay recorded 20 first downs and 443 yards of total offense.  The Governors were penalized four times for 30 yards and lost a fumble.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 18 first downs and 317 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized four times for 26 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Ahmaad Tanner led Austin Peay’s ground game with 90 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.  Jeremiah Oatsvall carried the ball 18 times for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Kentel Williams recorded 54 yards on nine carries.  Jeremiah Oatsvall completed 11 of 15 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns.  Kyran Moore caught two passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.  Ahmaad Tanner added two receptions for 41 yards.  DJ Montgomery recorded two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Gorel Soumare also caught two passes for 25 yards.  Daryl Rollins-Davis returned two kickoffs for 46 yards with a long return of 23 yards.  Kyran Moore returned two kickoffs for 46 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  Gunnar Scholato led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 10 yard loss.  Malik Davis also recorded six solo and four assisted tackles.  James Tobin recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.  Keawvis Cummings intercepted a pass.

Eastern Kentucky lost a heart breaker 23-20 in overtime.  Eastern Kentucky took a 20-13 lead on a Daryl McCleskey five yard run and extra point by Lucas Williams with 37 seconds left in regulation.  Eastern Illinois stormed back and tied the game on a A. Hollins 26 yard pass from Scotty Gilkey and a Matt Severino conversion kick with two seconds remaining on the clock.  The final drive covered 67 yards on four plays.  Eastern Illinois’ Matt Severino kicked a 45 yard field goal in overtime to give the Panthers a 23-20 lead and B. Dewberry intercepted a Tim Boyle pass to ensure the victory.

Eastern Illinois recorded 14 first downs and 322 yards of total offense.  The Panthers were penalized three times for 20 yards and lost two fumbles.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 14 first downs and 280 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 38 yards and had two passes intercepted. 

Isaiah Johnson led Eastern Illinois’ ground game with 51 yards on 13 carries.  Scotty Gilkey carried the ball 23 times for 34 yards and a touchdown.  Scotty Gilkey completed 12 of 20 passes for 213 yards and one touchdown.  Aaron Gooch caught five passes for 53 yards.  A. Hollins added four receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown.  Dy Johnson led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Mark Williams added four solo and two assisted tackles.  B. Dewberry recorded five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss and intercepted two passes.  Xzavier Shugars added five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.

Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 70 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.  Tim Boyle completed 21 of 33 passes for 216 yards with two interceptions.  Ryan Markush caught five passes for 75 yards.  Neiko Creamer added four passes for 40 yards.  Keith Wrzuszczak punted seven times for a 36.9 average with a long punt of 49 yards with five punts inside the 20 yard line.  Kobie Grace led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in tackles totaling six yards.  Gavin Bryant added six solo and three assisted tackles.  Buck Solomon recorded five solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  DJ White recovered a fumble.

Eastern Kentucky University utilized a balanced offense and a strong defense to earn a 26-13 victory over Murray State.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 23 first downs and 480 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized six times for 53 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Murray State recorded 13 first downs and 273 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 52 yard and lost three fumbles.

Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 144 yards on 21 carries.  Ralph Patton added 54 yards on nine carries.  LJ Scott carried the ball 13 times for 35 yards and two touchdowns.  Tim Boyle completed 15 of 25 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  BK Smith caught five passes for 39 yards.  Neiko Creamer added three receptions for 66 yards.  Ryan Markush recorded three receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown.  Dan Paul added three catches for 40 yards and a touchdown. LJ Scott returned one kickoff for 29 yards.  Luder Jean Louis led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Gavin Bryant added three solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Jeffrey Canady recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.  Kobie Grace added two solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble he returned 52 yards.  Brenton Ervin also recovered a fumble.

DJ Penick led Murray State’s ground game with 40 yards on eight carries.  Nolan Nichols carried the ball six times for 26 yards.  Shuler Bentley completed 20 of 40 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown.  Jensen Feggins caught eight passes for 57 yards.  Jordon Gandy added three receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown.  Bishop Woods led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Marco Paige added six solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Marque Sanford recorded five solo and three assisted tackles.  Q. Williams intercepted a pass he returned 26 yards.  D’Montre Wade intercepted a pass he returned 40 yards.

Eastern Kentucky University outscored UT Martin 21-7 in the third quarter to take control on their way to a 31-21 victory.  Eastern Kentucky finally had a break through on their running game as they ran for 229 yards and four touchdowns on 52 carries.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 18 first downs and 331 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 81 yards.  UT Martin recorded 11 first downs and 254 yards of total offense.  The Skyhawks were penalized nine times for 92 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky’s ground attack with 137 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.  Ethan Thomas carried the ball 10 times for 48 yards and two touchdowns.  Tim Boyle completed nine of 19 passes for 101 yards.  Dan Paul caught four passes for 31 yards.  BK Smith added two receptions for 15 yards.  Neiko Creamer caught one pass for 33 yards.  Keith Wrzuszczak punted nine times for a 49.9 average with a long punt of 84 yards and two punts inside the 20 yard line.  Jeffrey Canady led the defense with one solo and five assisted tackles.  Corey Glass added three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Connor Foos recorded one solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Ben Bascom intercepted a pass he returned 22 yards and Kobie Grace recovered a fumble.

Jacksonville State took advantage of four Eastern Kentucky turnovers on their way to a 41-25 victory.  Jacksonville State raced out to a 31-3 halftime lead and was never seriously threatened in this game as they improved to 5-1 and 3-0 in the OVC.  Jacksonville State recorded 19 first downs and 346 yards of total offense.  The Gamecocks were penalized nine times for 72 yards.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 16 first downs and 252 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 70 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Bryant Horn led Jacksonville State’s ground game with 73 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  Tramel Terry carried the ball six times for 49 yards.  Roc Thomas added 21 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Bryant Horn completed 10 of 17 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown.  Roc Thomas caught three passes for 36 yards.  Shaq Davidson added three receptions for 31 yards.  Krenwic Sanders recorded two receptions for 46 yards.  Jamari Hester caught one pass for 31 yards and a touchdown.  De’Marc Flowers returned two kickoffs for 80 yards with a long return of 66 yards.  Krenwic Sanders returned one kickoff for 33 yards.  Marion Bridges led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned 73 yards for a touchdown.  Darius Jackson added three solo and four assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 19 yards, forced two fumbles, and recovered one fumble.  Traco Williams recorded one solo and six assisted tackles.  Siran Neal intercepted a pass and Gerald Sterling recovered a fumble.

Jason Lewis led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 50 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Tim Boyle completed 16 of 26 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Ryan Markush caught four passes for 60 yards.  Daryl McCleskey added four receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown.  Neiko Creamer caught four passes for 43 yards.  Keith Wrzuszczak punted three times for a 43.7 average with a long punt of 48 yards with one punt inside the 20 yard line.  Daryl McCleskey returned three kickoffs for 102 yards with a long return of 55 yards.  LJ Scott returned four kickoffs for 150 yards with a long return of 57 yards.  Kobie Grace led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with one tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Jeffrey Canady added four solo and one assisted tackles.

Tennessee State defeated Eastern Kentucky University 45-21 in a game that had more plot changes than a good murder mystery.  Tennessee State took a 17-0 lead at halftime and appeared to be in control of the game.  Eastern Kentucky came to life in the third quarter behind a touchdown run and touchdown pass by Tim Boyle to trail 17-14 after three quarters.  The Colonels actually took a 21-17 lead early in the final quarter with a six yard touchdown pass from Tim Boyle to Ryan Markush.  Tennessee State rallied to take a 24-21 lead on a Michael Hughes one yard run and conversion kick by Lane Clark with 6:53 left in the game and then the wheels fell off for Eastern Kentucky.  Tennessee State’s secondary stepped up and recorded three interceptions and returns for touchdowns to quiet the home crowd and send the Colonels to a 1-4 record for the season.  Tennessee State improves to 4-2 for the season.  Tennessee State’s three pick sixes occurred at 6:40, 3:47, and 3:09 on the clock.

Tennessee State University recorded 21 first downs and 299 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 24 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Eastern Kentucky University recorded 16 first downs and 370 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized eight times for 72 yards and had four passes intercepted.

Seth Rowland led Tennessee State’s ground game with 69 yards on 11 carries.  Andrew Knox carried the ball 12 times for 64 yards.  Sabree Curtis recorded 39 yards on 10 carries.  Michael Hughes carried the ball seven times for nine yards and a touchdown.  Michael Hughes completed 12 of 23 passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Patrick Smith caught four passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.  Steven Newbold added four receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Blair Edwards led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Vincent Sellers also recorded seven solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted two passes for a total return yardage of 78 yards and two touchdowns.  Laquarius Cook recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.  Terrell Bonds intercepted a pass that he returned 36 yards for a touchdown.  Jason Morrow also intercepted a pass.

Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky University’s ground game with 73 yards on 11 carries.  Jason Lewis carried the ball four times for 27 yards.  Tim Boyle completed 18 of 27 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions.  Austin Scott completed three of eight passes for 34 yards with one interception.  Dan Paul caught eight passes for 76 yards.  Ryan Markush added five receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns.  Jaelin Carter recorded two receptions for 39 yards.  Keith Wrzuszczak punted four times for a 45.2 avearge with a long punt of 51 yards.  Jeffrey Canady led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Kobie Grace added seven solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss.  Eric Reed recorded five solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned for 18 yards.

Southeast Missouri State University defeated Eastern Kentucky University by a score of 29-10.  Eastern Kentucky squandered scoring opportunities on their first two possessions of the game.  They had a first and goal from the two yard line on the first possession but failed to move the ball on four straight plays.  The Colonels stalled at SEMO’s 16 on their second possession and missed a 33 yard field goal attempt.  SEMO scored 20 straight points to take control of the game.  EKU suffered four turnovers tonight and even though their defense picked it up to start the second half forcing SEMO to punt on their first seven possessions after intermission their defense could not take advantage to get back in the game.  SEMO recorded 15 first downs and 375 yards of total offense.  The Redhawks were penalized 12 times for 110 yards but did not have any turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 18 first downs and 317 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 43 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Marquis Terry led SEMO’s ground game with 184 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries.  Cameron Sanders carried the ball four times for 86 yards and a touchdown.  Jesse Hosket completed nine of 23 passes for 76 yards.  K. Wilkerson caught three passes for 40 yards.  Jake Reynolds punted nine times for a 43.6 average with a long punt of 59 yards and four punts inside the 20 yard line.  D. Rogers led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  Chad Meredith added three solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Zach Hall recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss.  Shabari Davis, O. Pierre-Louis, and Mike Ford each intercepted a pass with return yardage of 27, 11, and 0 yards respectively.  Al Young recovered a fumble.

LJ Scott led EKU’s ground game with 13 yards on eight carries.  Tim Boyle completed 15 of 35 passes for 232 yards with two interceptions.  Austin Scott completed four of 11 passes for 74 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Ryan Markush caught four passes for 122 yards.  BK Smith also caught four passes for 44 yards.  Dan Paul added three receptions for 57 yards.  Jaelin Carter caught three passes for 54 yards and a touchdown.  LJ Scott returned six kickoffs for 135 yards with a long return of 30 yards.  Keith Wrzuszczak punted five times for a 48.0 average with a long punt of 52 yards and one punt within the 20 yard line.  Eric Reed led the defense with nine solo and three assisted tackles with one tackle resulting in a one yard loss.  J. Whitfield added seven solo tackles.  Jeffrey Canady recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.
