Lexington Catholic utilized their big play capability to roll up 430 yards and six touchdowns through the air in a 54-13 over Lexington Christian Academy tonight.  Lexington Catholic recorded 20 first downs and 567 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 11 times for 140 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 21 first downs and 290 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized seven times for 57 yards and had three passes intercepted.

P. Ilumva led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 49 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Ryan Nichols added 46 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Beau Allen carried the ball five times for 35 yards.  Beau Allen completed 17 of 27 passes for 362 yards and five touchdowns with one interception.  Joshua Brownell completed his only pass for a 68 yard touchdown pass.  Tommy Knopp caught nine passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns.  Nathan Schnurr added three receptions for 96 yards and two touchdowns.  Jackson Corbett recorded two receptions for 29 yards.  Darin Eldridge and John Woodall added touchdown receptions of 68 and 31 yards respectively.  Nathan Schnurr returned one punt for 25 yards.  Brennan Emnett led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned for 29 yards.  Henry Holthaus added four solo and four assisted tackles.  Dylan Sharp recorded four solo tackles.  Luke Powell and John Simms each intercepted a pass.

Jed Green led LCA’s ground game with 40 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  J. Barnhardt completed 30 of 41 passes for 185 yards with three interceptions.  Dearious Smith caught six passes for 62 yards.  Will Vernon added five receptions for 43 yards.  Elijah Hammond caught three passes for 42 yards.  Dearious Smith returned five kickoffs for 110 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  Will Vernon led the defense with five solo tackles.  Mattie Lebryk added four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Jeffrey Selby recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

Weather played havoc throughout the state tonight with games being postponed, shortened, and in some cases cancelled.

 

Adair County 20 Barren County 19 – Jaiden Taylor carried the ball 29 times for 201 yards and a touchdown and also recorded eight tackles for the victors.

 

Anderson County 28 Mercer County 0 – Charles Collins carried the ball three times for 94 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 25 yards and a touchdown.  This game was called at halftime.

 

Apollo 21 McLean County 18 – Mario McKenzie carried the ball for 162 yards and two touchdowns to lead Apollo.

 

Arch Bishop Moeller (Cincinnati) OH 21 Trinity 14 – Trinity falls to 0-3 with this game being stopped due to weather in the third quarter.

 

Ashland Blazer 50 George Washington (Charleston) WV 28 – Braxton Ratliff carried the ball 13 times for 162 yards and two touchdowns and completed nine of 16 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Ballard 38 Collins 6 – Austin Carr passed for 188 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another touchdown.

 

Beechwood 28 Somerset 0 – Logan Castleman ran for 1-1 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries in another game called early due to weather.

 

Belfry 54 Bryan Station 21Peyton Hensley, Isaac Dixon, and Ben Bentley all ran for over 100 yards to lead Belfry.

 

Bowling Green 24 St. Xavier 21 OT – Dalton Major kicked a 27 yard field goal in overtime to give Bowling Green the victory.  Vito Tisdale carried the ball 28 times for 145 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Purples.

 

Boyle County 34 Danville 17 – Reed Lanter completed 22 of 38 passes for 252 yards to lead Boyle County.

 

Campbell County 24 Newport Central Catholic 0 – Andrew Helton completed 15 of 22 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Campbellsville 40 Taylor County 20 – Malachi Corley carried the ball 17 times for 207 yards and a touchdown and recorded 10 tackles on defense.

 

Casey County 36 Russell County 7 – Preston Tucker carried the ball 12 times for 118 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 19 yards and a touchdown.

 

Clinton County 62  McCreary Central 0 – Noah Pruitt carried the ball 15 times for 185 yards and two touchdowns and completed eight of 15 passes for 52 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Corbin 47 Pulaski County 20 – Chase Estep passed for 347 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another score.

 

Daviess County 20 John Hardin 19 – Marquel Tinsley caught 11 passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns to lead Daviess County.

 

DeSales 28 Louisville Holy Cross 3 – Aaron Pfaadt carried the ball nine times for 43 yards and two touchdowns and completed 14 of 19 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown.

 

Eminence 52 Fort Knox 6 – Dakadian Saunders carried the ball 11 times for 126 yards and three touchdowns and caught three passes for 105 yards and a touchdown.

 

Frederick Douglass 57 Paintsville 7 – Demarco Fishback carried the ball seven times for 23 yards and two touchdowns and caught six passes for 84 yards and three touchdowns.

 

Fulton County 70 Fulton City 0 – Caleb Kimble carried the ball seven times for 209 yards and five touchdowns.

 

Hazard 43 Letcher County Central 14 – Bailey Blair completed nine of 15 passes for 139 yards and three touchdowns and carried the ball four times for 48 yards.

 

Johnson Central 33 Henry Clay 21 – Joe Jackson carried the ball 20 times for 77 yards and two touchdowns.  Langston Jackson carried the ball 14 times for 102 yards and two touchdowns and added nine solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.

 

Lexington Catholic 33 Lafayette 7 – Beau Allen completed 22 of 33 passes for 296 yards and four touchdowns.

 

Lincoln County 35 Garrard County 20 – Darius Napier carried the ball four times for 74 yards and a touchdown, caught five passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns, recorded eight tackles and one interception.

 

Madison Southern 48 Bourbon County 48 Bourbon County 13 – Tobias Storm carried the ball four times for 177 yards and a touchdown.

 

Southwestern 26 Madison Central 7 – Drew Sawyers carried the ball 20 times for 157 yards and two touchdowns and returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown.

North Bullitt 30 Jeffersontown 7 – Conner Abnee completed nine of 10 passes for 100 yards and carried the ball 11 times for 123 yards and three touchdowns.

 

Owensboro Catholic 45 Owensboro 32 – Drew Hartz completed 24 of 35 passes for 376 yards and four touchdowns.

 

Perry County Central 34 Knott County Central 12 – Jayden Neace carried the ball 19 times for 267 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Raceland 49 West Carter 13 – Jacob Heighton completed 11 of 16 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns and carried the ball eight times for 35 yards and a touchdown.

 

Scott County 28 Highlands 7 – Austin Barnett carried the ball 19 times for 121 yards and a touchdown to lead Scott County in a game called at halftime.

Lexington Christian Academy held on to defeat Lincoln (Vincennes) by a score of 43-38.  LCA raced out to a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter but Lincoln (Vincennes) fought back to tie the score at 28-28 with 7:10 remaining in the third quarter.  LCA took a 35-28 lead but Lincoln (Vincennes) took a 36-35 lead with 6:14 left in the game on a 55 yard run by Spencer Corrona and a 2-point conversion run by Evan Combs.  LCA had one more rally left and scored what proved to be the winning touchdown on a two yard run by Thomas White and a 2-point conversion pass from Jayden Barnhardt to Blane Hardin to make the score 43-36 with 1:16 left in the game.  LCA gave up a safety in the closing seconds to make the final score 43-38.

LCA recorded 16 first downs and 337 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized eight times for 60 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Lincoln (Vincennes) recorded 22 first downs and 499 yards of total offense.  The Alices were penalized seven times for 40 yards, lost two fumbles, and had four passes intercepted.

Thomas White led the LCA ground game with 59 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Jed Green carried the ball seven times for 30 yards.  Jayden Barnhardt completed 17 of 40 passes for 251 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions.  DeArious Smith caught seven passes for 122 yards and three touchdowns.  Will Vernon added three receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown.  Jeffrey Selby caught two passes for 22 yards and a touchdown.  DeArious Smith returned four kickoffs for 99 yards.  Smith also returned one punt for 25 yards. DeArious Smith led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Drew Long added four solo and seven assisted tackles including three sacks.  Mattie Lebryk recorded two solo and eight assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. 

Spencer Corrona led Lincoln (Vincennes) ground attack with 215 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.  E. Smith carried the ball five times for 33 yards.  Evan Combs completed 18 of 41 passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns with four interceptions.  Spencer Corrona caught seven passes for 141 yards and three touchdowns.  Hunter Hopwood recorded five receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown.  Stefan Hernandez returned three kickoffs for 87 yards.  Logan McCrary led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Spencer Corrona added six solo and two assisted tackles.  Eli Malone and Favian Hernandez each intercepted a pass.

George Rogers Clark dominated play today in a 53-0 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar.  GRC’s defense held Dunbar to a -41 yards of total offense and scored three touchdowns on defense.  GRC recorded 17 first downs and 369 yards on total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 54 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Dunbar recorded one first down and -41 yards on total offense.  The Bulldogs lost three fumbles and had a pass intercepted.

Nitavius Thomas led GRC’s ground game with 135 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.  Will Henry carried the ball nine times for 76 yards.  Azariah Israel added 68 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Will Henry completed five of eight passes for 62 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Farris Shakadih caught two passes for 34 yards.  Dawson Gay added a 22 yard touchdown reception.  Aquavion Lewis led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Jacob Smith added four solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards and scored on a 30 yard fumble recovery.  Thomas Mitchell scored on a 32 yard fumble recovery.  Zion Israel scored on a 30 yard interception return.  Landon Langfels also recovered a fumble.

Dunbar did not have a runner with positive yardage and did not complete a pass today.  J. Robinson returned two kickoffs for 29 yards with a long return of 21 yards.  Mitchell Joseph led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Mason Haggard added four solo and two assisted tackles.

Covington Catholic led 27-0 midway through the second quarter due to lightning in the area.  The game was eventually suspended and resumed Saturday at Covington Catholic where the Colonels defeated Cooper by a score of 54-7.  Covington Catholic continues their impressive start this season and recorded 17 first downs and 425 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized four times for 32 yards.  Cooper recorded five first downs and 109 yards of total offense.  The Jaguars were not penalized, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

C. McGinness led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 176 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.  T. Reusch carried the ball six times for 57 yards and a touchdown.  J. Shriver added 15 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  C. Jacob completed 10 of 13 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns.  Z. Coburn caught three passes for 57 yards and a touchdown.  M. Mayer added three receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown.  C. McGinness caught two passes for 47 yards and a touchdown.  J. Blank returned two punts for 26 yards with a long run of 16 yards.  L. Summe returned one kickoff for 38 yards.  M. Thelen led the defense with four solo tackles.  D. Summe added two solo and one assisted tackles.  J. Lawrie recovered a fumble for a touchdown and J. Blank intercepted a pass he returned 27 yards.

J. Pratt led Cooper’s ground game with eight yards on one carry.  J. Lee completed eight of 18 passes for 116 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  J. Maynard caught five passes for 68 yards.  M. Armour caught a 34 yard touchdown pass.  J. Lee returned five kickoffs for 112 yards with a long return of 36 yards.  B. Shobe led the defense with six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  J. Poage also recorded six solo tackles.  D. Perry recorded four solo tackles.

Johnson Central raced out to a 14-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 33-21 victory over Henry Clay.  Johnson Central recorded 21 first downs and 395 yards of total offense.  The Golden Eagles were penalized four times for 25 yards.  Henry Clay recorded 14 first downs and 262 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized seven times for 41 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Joe Jackson led Johnson Central’s ground game with 77 yards and two touchdowns with 20 carries.  Bryce Tackett carried the ball eight times for 46 yards and a touchdown.  D. Johnson recorded 43 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Riley Preece carried the ball six times for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Riley Preece completed seven of eight passes for 143 yards.  Cody Rice caught three passes for 15 yards.  R. Sartin-Slone added two receptions for 56 yards.  E. Adkins caught one pass for 47 yards.  Joe Jackson also added one reception for 25 yards.  E. Adkins led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles.  Alex Horn added two solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Dylan Preston and Bryce Tackett each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles.

Langston Jackson led Henry Clay’s ground game with 102 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Mussa Kaluta carried the ball four times for 38 yards.  DJ VanHorn completed eight of 16 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Ramond Jackson caught three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.  Chris Dabney added three receptions for 36 yards.  Ramond Jackson led the defense with nine solo and five assisted tackles.  Langston Jackson added nine solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.

DeSales dominated play tonight in a 28-3 victory over Holy Cross.  DeSales recorded 19 first downs and 356 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized nine times for 78 yards and lost a fumble.  Holy Cross recorded five first downs and 79 yards of total offense.  The Cougars were penalized five times for 57 yards.  Holy Cross was held to -8 yards on 14 rushing attempts.

Antione Johnson led DeSales ground game with 82 yards on 13 carries.  Darren Hollenkamp carried the ball five times for 46 yards.  Aaron Pfaadt recorded 43 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.  Aaron Pfaadt completed 14 of 19 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown.  Jayden Scroggin caught six passes for 82 yards and a touchdown.  Demetri Scott added four receptions for 52 yards.  Savion Stivers led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles.  Amos Griffith added four solo tackles.  Dejuan Watkins recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Darren Hollenkamp added two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Demetri Scott recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards.

Luke Davis led Holy Cross’ ground game with six yards on two carries.  Jaren McDonald completed 14 of 26 passes for 87 yards.  Gavin Foushee caught four passes for 28 yards.  Craig Thompson added four receptions for 23 yards.  Gavin Foushee returned two kickoffs for 36 yards with a long return of 21.  B. Avdevich returned two kickoffs for 32 yards with a long return of 22 yards.  Gavin Foushee led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Nolan Siegrist added five solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards.  Ryleigh Bishop and Andrew Schmitt each recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.

Anderson County defeated Mercer County 28-0 in a game that was suspended at halftime due to lightning and both teams agreed to not attempt to resume the game due to weather conditions.  Anderson County recorded nine first downs and 305 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized eight times for 64 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Mercer County recorded 10 first downs and 212 yards of total offense.  The Titans were penalized three times for 34 yards and lost a fumble.  Anderson County averaged 26.2 yards on 20 offensive plays while Mercer County averaged 9.8 yards on 40 offensive plays.

Charles Collins led Anderson County’s ground game with 94 yards and two touchdowns on three carries.  Jagger Gillis carried the ball six times for 43 yards.  Jagger Gillis completed five of seven passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Charles Collins caught two passes for 25 yards and a touchdown.  B. Maxberry, W. Ruehrwein, and D. Dearinger each caught one pass for 55, 44, and 23 yards respectively.  Justin Wilhoit caught a 10 yard touchdown pass.  Colton Cornish led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles with three of his losses resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  D. Dearinger added four solo and four assisted tackles.

Malachi Yulee led Mercer County’s ground game with 84 yards on 13 carries.  Noah Davis carried the ball once for 42 yards.  Kaelin Drakeford completed five of 12 passes for 49 yards.  Jon Jon Logue caught two passes for 30 yards.  Dillon Warren returned three kickoffs for 66 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  Dillon Warren led the defense with four solo tackles and one interception.  Jon Jon Logue added three solo tackles.

Scott County led 28-7 and was starting to dominate play late in the second quarter when lightning suspended play.  Weather conditions continued to worsen and both teams agreed to not end the game and due to prior commitments agreed the game would result in a victory for Scott County.  Scott County recorded 17 first downs and 249 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized once for five yards.  Highlands did not record a first down and was limited to 22 yards on nine offensive plays.  The Bluebirds were penalized three times for 25 yards.

Austin Barnett led Scott County’s ground game with 121 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.  Bronson Brown carried the ball eight times for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Payton Brown carried the ball six times for 33 yards and two touchdowns.  Cade McKee completed two of three passes for 23 yards.  Glenn Covington caught two passes for 23 yards.  Sam Daniel led the defense with three solo tackles

C. Schwalbach led Highlands’ ground game with five yards on three carries.  Grady Cramer completed two of six passes for 17 yards.  Joey Deschler caught one pass for 14 yards.  B. Lafayette recorded more first downs and total yards but also committed five turnovers in a 33-7 loss to Lexington Catholic.  Lexington Catholic QB Beau Allen riddled the Lafayette defense for 296 yards and four touchdowns.  It was a flag frenzy tonight as Lexington Catholic was penalized 11 times for 111 yards while Lafayette was penalized 13 times for 154 yards.  Lexington Catholic recorded 16 first downs and 292 yards of total offense although they were held to -4 net yards on 14 rushing attempts.  The Knights were penalized 11 times for 111 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Lafayette recorded 21 first downs and 360 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 13 times for 154 yards, lost two fumbles, and had three passes intercepted.

Beau Allen completed 22 of 33 passes for 296 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Nathan Schnurr caught six passes for 128 yards and one touchdown.  Luke Powell added six receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns.  John Woodall caught a 26 yard touchdown pass.  Nathan Schnurr returned two punts for 25 yards with a long return of 26 yards.  Brennan Emnett led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles.  Clay Callahan added eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Henry Holthaus recorded five solo tackles and intercepted a pass.  Dylan Bracken and Nathan Schnurr each intercepted a pass and AJ King and Marc Rumpke each recovered a fumble.

TeAndre Newcomb led Lafayette’s ground attack with 73 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Jaylen Lawson carried the ball three times for 67 yards.  TJ Robinson recorded 49 yards on 11 carries.  Quinton Turner completed 11 of 25 passes for 121 yards with three interceptions.  TeAndre Newcomb caught five passes for 86 yards.  JC Shegog added four receptions for 29 yards.  TeAndre Newcomb returned five kickoffs for 68 yards with a long return of 20 yards.  Jaylen Lawson led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Malik Bryant added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Jimmy Johnson recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards and intercepted a pass.
