Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Braxton Price, 5-8 So. Destyne Jackson, 5-11 Jr. Tyronica Carpenter, 5-7 So. Kiya Thompson, and 5-8 Jr. Cheyenne Jones.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 So. Macey Goff, 5-9 So. Lindi DeBilzan, 6-0 Sr. Kiara Pankins, 5-6 Jr. Terri Abram, and 5-9 Jr. Caroline Bennett.

 

Lafayette led 26-17 in the second quarter but Henry Clay rallied to defeat the Lady Generals 58-51 in overtime.  The score was tied four times and there were five lead changes in this game.  Henry Clay shot 36.8% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line.  Henry Clay attempted 19 more shots (57-38) from the field than Lafayette.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 26 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 47.4% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 13 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Braxton Price led Henry Clay with 24 points including four three point baskets.  Kiya Thompson added nine points including two three point baskets.  Cheyenne Jones and Destyne Jackson each scored eight points.  Tyronica Carpenter pulled down seven rebounds.

 

Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Terri Abram added 13 points and five assists.  Caroline Bennett recorded 12 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.
