Garrard County coach Scott Latham started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Neek Hocker, 5-9 Sr. Lauren Patrick, 5-11 Sr. Sis Logan, 5-5 Sr. Maddy Day, and 5-8 Sr. Sam Adams. Wayne County coach Tim Pyles countered with 5-9 Sr. Ashton Bell, 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell, 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett, 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins, and 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson.
Wayne County led 30-25 after three quarters but Garrard County rallied for a 46-39 victory. Garrard County shot 26% from the field including four of 19 from the three point line. They connected on 20 of 33 free throws, pulled down 34 points, and scored three points off 14 Wayne County turnovers. Wayne County shot 32% from the field including zero of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on 13 of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored two points off nine Garrard County turnovers.
Maddy Day led Garrard County with 13 points including 11 of 15 from the free throw line. Sis Logan added 12 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots. Sam Adams recorded 10 points including two three point baskets. Neek Hocker pulled down nine rebounds, and blocked three shots.
Ashton Bell led Wayne County with 16 points including six of six free throws and six rebounds. Megan Burchett added 10 points and five rebounds. Megan Burchett, Taylor Bell, and Macey Blevins all fouled out for the Lady Cardinals.
