Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Kiara Pankins, 5-9 So. Caroline Bennett, 5-9 Sr. Aisha Conwell, 5-3 So. Teri Abram, and 5-7 Fr. Lindi DeBiltzan. Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-9 Sr. Dasia Kilbourne, 5-10 Jr. Rebecca Cook, 5-9 Sr. Malaka Frank, 5-8 Jr. Princess Stewart, and 5-6 Jr. Savannah Courtney.
Franklin County raced out to an 18-6 first quarter lead on their way to a 66-42 victory over Lafayette. Franklin County shot 42.6% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on six of 14 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 26 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 36.6% from the field including five of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Generals connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored four points off 11 Franklin County turnovers.
Rebecca Cook led Franklin County with 17 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, and four steals. Princess Stewart added 11 points, eight rebounds, and five steals. Malaka Frank chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds. 5-9 Sr. Anna Arrastia also scored 11 points.
Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 16 points and eight rebounds. Caroline Bennett added 11 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.
