Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 So. Dee Givens, 6-4 So. Ashanti Thomas, 5-6 Jr. Megumi Nagahiro, and 5-6 Jr. Ken’yale Demus.  Woodford County coach Jay Lucas countered with 6-0 Sr. Hannah Morgan, 5-9 So. Chelsey Ford, 6-1 Sr. Jessica Morgan, 5-5 Jr. Shelby McDonald, and 5-5 So. Anastayzia Reed.

Woodford County trailed 47-34 after three quarters but roared back to outscore Lafayette 24-5 in the final quarter in a 58-52 victory.  The score was tied four times and there were 11 lead changes in the game.  Lafayette held a 52-51 lead with 3:27 left in the game but was held scoreless the rest of the way.  Lafayette was two of 14 from the field in the final quarter.

Woodford County shot 36.8% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line.  The Lady Yellow Jackets connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 33.3% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 10 Woodford County turnovers.

Chelsey Ford led Woodford County with 24 points including two three point baskets and pulled down eight rebounds.  Shelby McDonald added nine points and seven assists.  Jessica Morgan recorded eight points and 11 rebounds.  Hannah Morgan chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.

Dee Givens led Lafayette with 14 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Ashanti Thomas added 10 points, eight rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Ken’yale Demus chipped in with nine points and Sarah Cooley pulled down 10 rebounds.
