This formal garden was planned so that the long axis lines up with the Moon Garden and one of the short axises lines up with the front door. The knot is planted with American boxwood. The "arms" of the knot are planted in herbs with a weeping cherry in the center of the knot. The paths are a mix of grass and gravel. One intersection has a sun dial and the other has a Pan statue. At the center of the garden is a small but deep fountain with fish and a waterlily. The outer edges of the garden, along the driveway, are lined in boxwood. The paths are edged with lavender. Perennial companions are being added among the roses.
