From Valencia you can go to the Skelligs, a 1000 foot rocky ourcrop where on sits a monestary from about the 8th C. You can climb the multitude of steps to visit the oratory, churches and crosses on the very top. The Skelligs are also famous for seeing puffins who are so tame that they will come right up to you.
