Operation
In this section we describe the operation of the SeaPen DryDoc, the limitations and how to move or remove your dock if the need arises. To open the SeaPen DryDoc simply deflate the deployment collar and flood the dock, letting the dock sink below the craft. To Close The SeaPen DryDock simply inflate the deployment collar, causing the dock to rise around the hull then pump the water out. You may also use the SeaPen DryDoc wet by leaving the water in when closed. Note:- using the SeaPen DryDoc wet increases wear and tear as the dock is free to move independently of the boat hull and may scuff in time. Pumping the water out and using the dock dry, pins the dock against the boat hull by water pressure, thus decreasing wear and tear and increasing life expectancy. Limitations The SeaPen DryDoc should not be used where there is excessive water movement caused by either tidal influence or flood. There should be sufficient water under the keel ( 300mm) for normal operation, especially at low spring tide. This requirement ensures the keel does not drive the flexible outer envelope into the mud where it could be damaged. also gives enough space for the dock to be opened. Move You may tow your boat complete with SeaPen Drive-In floating dock attached1. Remove the control/pump box and disconnect pump box from flexible outer envelope by undoing the flexible hose connection. Disconnect the air outlet from the control box. Close off inline air valve ( do not allow water to enter air hose ) 2.
Hold water discharge hose above water level 3. Remove the gate adjuster. 4. Cast off dock mooring lines from berth 5. Dock remains dry and pressed against hull. You may tow your SeaPen Drive-In floating dock with a small dingy1. Deploy dock down. Remove craft from mooring position. 2. Deploy dock up. 3. Remove the control/pump box and disconnect pump box from flexible outer envelope by undoing the flexible hose connection. Disconnect the air outlet from the control box. Close off inline air valve ( do not allow water to enter air hose ). 6. Remove the gate adjuster. 7. Cast off dock mooring lines from berth. 8. Tow your dock by holding the dock bow or stern horizontally to the stern of the dingy. The dock will travel on top of the water behind the dingy.
