History: Originating from a single fleet, the Lafe Corporation fleet upon arrival in C69 split into ten fractions, each fraction heading of to settle different parts of the same area of space. Each coloney was set up to become self-sufficient, not having to rely upon the help of the other nine colonies. The guiding priniciple was simple, as each coloney grew into the surrounding area, the whole area would eventually fall under one leadership, growing from many directions at once. Shortly before colonisation it is believed that the fleet drew up a treaty that stated that upon reaching a certain point of expansion, the colonies of Lafe would join together once again after several millenia. This treaty has become known as the treaty of unity and would play an important role in Lafe's later history.

Nine colonies of Lafe had a farely peaceful beggining for the first two millenia, though the coloney of Artexen did make contact with the native race of the Kaecian's in 81'045 SC as they achieved FTL travel and the Kaecian's signed a treaty with the Artexen's, forming the Artexen Alliance. The tenth coloney did not however prosper. The Niari coloney was unaware that the star they choose to build a coloney in orbit of was nearly the end of it's life and it went supernova in 80'947, destroying the coloney before anyone could react. Those few refugee's who managed to escape soon settled with the other colonies.

So it was that the nine over colonies grew as planned though. Each boosted supreme medical knowledges beyond the likes of which any other coloney in C69 had for the original fleet that brought them to C69 were well known for their medical skills. Not once did any off the original colonies sucumber to plagues or virus's that other C69 colonies had to be so carefully about. Eventually, as these colonies grew, so they occupied more and more star systems and they became known as individual nations of their own right. By the time of 82'560 SC, there was known to be six individual nations in and around the area known as Lafe. These nations were:

The Artexan Alliance (Artexan Coloney + the Kaecian's)
The Noactia Federation (Noactia Coloney)
The Askalan Unity (Askalan Coloney)
The Monciffo Empire (Combination of the Monortsia and Laiciffo Colonies)
The nation of Zes (Zeszulan Coloney)
The Southern Pact Alliance (Drocor, Kcabia and Niquilia Colonies)

By this time however, the Treaty of Unity had been forgotton along with the name Lafe. Instead, these six nations continued to grow together in peace until the sol of 82'782 SC. Without warning to the other nations, the Monciffo Empire suddenly launched an aggressive strike against the Artexan Alliance. Rumours had been growing rife within the Monciffo halls about the alliance of the Kaecian's and how the Artexen Alliance was building a massive Kaecian army (who being silicon based life forms were naturally tougher than the normal carbon based life forms) in order to begin a massive expansion programme to conquor the other nations of the area.

To counter these rumours, the Monciffo Empire decided to take matters into their own hands. Off all the nations, the Monciffo Empire had the most knowledgable research in the area of medical science known as Cloning and Genetic Manipulation. In secret, the Monciffo Empire built up in the space of two decades previous a army of clones that were tougher and stronger than the average Human or Elayan and it was this army that suddenly struck without warning. The Artexen Alliance star system of Eusilia fell immediately to the cloned army and uproar filled the halls of all the other nations. Such a powerful army had never been expected.

War ensured between the Artexan Alliance and the Monciffo Empire as the other four nations watched on, worried about who would be the next target. Each took matters into it's own hands, the Southern Pact Alliance building up and maintaining their own army of troops who used advanced biological implants, while the Noactia Federation developed bio-organic technology and weapons such as bio-cannons for their vessels and self-healing armour. Meanwhile, the Askalan Unity began secreat research of biological warfare such as deadly virus's and virus borne populace improvement agents. Off all the nations, the nation of the Zes was the only one which seemed not be worrying about developing to heavily into the region of military research. Instead, they signed non-aggression pacts with all five nations by 82'840 SC, maintaining their distance from the warring nations politically.

Though taken off guard, the Artexen Empire was not beaten yet. Covert spies worked within the Monciffo Empires borders and plans were quickly brought back with stolen research plans into the Monciffo's cloning technologies. Combined with the Artexen's own expertise at genetic memory alteration and with the assistance of spies sent to the Southern Pact Alliance to retrieve some of the plans to their biological enhancement implants. In 82'846 SC, the Artexen Alliance had been beaten back to owning just three star systems with the Monciffo Empire preparing to close the net on the now foundering nation when the Artexen suddenly bit back hard.

The Artexen's released onto the Monciffo Empire a new cloned army made up purely of Kaecian's who had been matured quickly and had strong battle knowledge built into their genetics along with a number of small implants. The new clones became known as Artrician's and struck back hard and fast against the Monciffo Empires own weaker clone army's. The result was that within two decades the Artexen's turned the face of the war around, regaining all their old star systems back and reducing the Monciffo Empire to a mere two star systems. It looked like the Monciffo Empire was now doomed when one of the outside nations decided to enter the fray...

Watching the development of the Artrician army, the Southern Pact came to the realisation that the implants that the Artrician's used were in fact stolen by the Artexen Alliance from themselves. Coupled with the growing fear that this new Artician army could in turn be used against themselves, the Southern Pact hastily drew up within twenty fours an loose alliance with the Monciffo Empire. They urged the other nations to join but not wishing to be dragged into it unless necessary, the others refused.

Just as the Artexen Alliance was preparing to invade the final two Monciffo star systems and end the war between themselves, the huge army the Southern Pat had built up off bio-enhanced soliders suddenly struck from the otherside of the nation. This caused the Alliance to suddenly pause and redirect it's Artrician armies to this new aggressor. After all, the Mociffo Empire was no longer a real threat and so left the two final star systems alone as it defended itself from the Southern Pact.

By the sol of 82'890 SC, it had come to be realised that the Artexan Alliance was once more being beaten back. Despite being able to grow vast armies in a very short space of time, the Artexen Alliance found their Artrician clones were dying in their droves compared to a relatively low lose of troops by the Southern Pact.

As the Artexen fell back once more, they were further hampered by new clone armies originating from the Monciffo Empire who now bore the some of the same implants that the Southern Pact used. Though the Monciffo Empire's armies were less effective than the Southern Pacts armies, this two way assault was crippling to the Alliance. The top scientists meanwhile struggled to find the key as to why their Artrician armies were now suffering so badly agains the Southern Pact because though the Southern Pact used bio-enhanced troops, the Artrician's had been specifically bred for war.

Once again, the Artrexen Alliance had fallen back badly and were now a mere shadow of their former selves compared to what they had been when they were winning against the Monciffo Empire and by 82'942 SC, were virtually all but destroyed once more when the Noactia Federation decided to act. Like one of the reasons the Southern Pact had joined the war fearing what the Artrican armies were capable off once they had finished off the Monciffo Empire, so the Noactia Federation joined sides with the Artexen Alliance fearing where the Southern Pact's bio-enhanced armies would be heading next should they win.

Wave after wave of bio-technological vessels slammed in the Southern Pact and Monciffo defences, forcing another turn about in the war. Talks were hastily set up between the Artexen Alliance and the Noactia Federation after this intial wave and a battle plan was formed between the two to deal with the other two nations.

It was realised that the Noactia Federation, though strong with it's bio-organic technologies, would have a hard time fighting against the combined armies of the Southern Pact and the Monciffo Empire. It could hold it's own for a while, but in time, the predictions showed that the Federation and the Alliance would fail unless something was done. However, perhaps as a turning key point, the Artexen Alliances scientists had finally found the answer to the Artrician's terrible performance against the Southern Pact's armies. All they needed was time to make some changes.

So it was agreed that the Noactia Federation would buy them that time. Drawing the Southern Pact and Monciffo's attention aware from the Artexen Alliance, the Federation fought a hard war against the two stronger opponants, making sure that the Alliance had the time it needed to do what it was needed to do.

The problems with the clones had been so simple, that the Alliance had over looked it all along. The clones were too predictable. Each one was the same as the next where as the Southern Pact's armies were filled with variety from natures wonderful random genetic mix pool. This single fact meant that once the Southern Pact had sussed out the Artrician's tactics and ways of thinking, it had become very easy for the Artrician's to be beaten back time and time again.

So it came to be that in 83'239. after the Noactia Federation managing to hold back the Southern Pact for several centuries now but really beggining to show the strain that the Artexen Alliance finally perfected the research they needed. The Artrician were now a dying bred, those few left were reserved for menial duties and instead, the Artexen Alliance launched a new breed of clones, or rather mutant, that were called the Efari.

Where as the Artrician's were all identical more or less, the Efari, though being simalar to one another in the same wat that a Human is simalar to someone else of their species, advanced bio-technology borrowed from the Noactia Federation ensured that each mutant born was also different in it's genetic make up in the same way other species were when born naturally.

These new Efari mutants were pressed straight into service at the earliest oppertunity and once again the Artexen Alliance was actively back in the war. The Efari armies proved to be destructive beyond belief, shifting the balance once again. The bio-enhanced troops of the Southern Pact and the Bio-Enhanced clones of the Monciffo Empire were beaten back day by day, falling beneath the masses of destuctive Efari whom beat a corridor through Monciffo and Southern Pact space until the borders of the Noactia Federation and Artexen Alliance met, dividing the other two nations in half in the sol of 83'252 SC.

Their borders joined, the Alliance and Federation continued to spread into the other two nations like a plague while political leaders from both sides finally sat down together and began talks. As their armies fought on both sides of their terriotries in the sol of 83'264, the two nations announced a merging into one nation now called the Notex Unison.

With themselves being beaten back, both the Southern Pact and the Monciffo Empire had to now look for new weapons to regain their edge, especially against this new Notex Unison. In the furtherest laboratories from the battle lines, the Southern Pact began to intesify their research seven fold to develop new implants to aid their cause. However, the Southern Pact had the problem of having a lack of guinea pigs to test the new implants out on and the so the scientists of the Southern Pact petioned their government to come up with an option to aid them.

After some consideration, it was agreed in the Southern Pact to change their prison system completely. Instead of criminal's being sent to prison institutes to spend time in corrective facilities that would not always work, any future criminals in the Southern Pact would instead be sent to the Southern Pact's laboratories where they would become guinea pigs to biological science for what ever peroid of time their sentence was for. Not only did this help lower the Southern Pacts crime rate, acting as great detterent for breaking the law, it also gave the scientists plenty of people upon whom they could experiment upon.

Meanwhile, the Monciffo Empire looked themselves for other ways to beat back the Notex Unison. The Empire sent scouts out across the nearby parts of the galaxy to find fresh genetic material to work from to create new types of clones. This action in itself nearly caused the Monciffo Empire to enter into war with the nation of Feareo as they tried to sneak through Feareo's borders to obtain samples of Karearan genetics who were still at a primative stage of development. However, despite failing to obtain Karearan DNA samples, the Monciffo Empire's scouts continued on and found instead a little gold mine of perfect genetics in the star system of Infieda.

On the second planet of Infieda, a young race of sentient creatures was coming into their element. Still at a primative stage of feudal life, this race was born and dedicated to the nature of war and fighting. This race was known as Katani. Unable to pefect the key to mutant creation like the Notex Unison had with the Efari, the Monciffo Empire instead spent twelve sol's sending ships out to Infieda and abducted over the space of the twelve sol's a total of around twenty thousand Katani. Using then these Katani as a basis, the Mociffo Empire cloned a massive army of Katani.

By the time of 83'303 SC, the Monciffo Empire was fielding large battlions of Katani. Naturally developed by nature for war and brought up in the high technological society of the Monciffo Empire, these Katani took the war back to the Efari. The Katani were also allowed to breed amongst themselves and thus ensured that further variance brought into the mix for the Monciffo Empire, though not before the Empire copied the new children's genetics and made further clones from this genetic mix.

The war was now in full scale blood shed. The Efari were hard fighters and using the Notex bio-organic technology held their ground. But they hard pushed, fighting legions of Katani from the Monciffo Empire to the North and new types of enhanced soliders from the Southern Pact to the South. Both of Notex's adversories were also taking to a new tactic, one of which was causing a major pain to the Unison. Both sides were purposely singling out mutant birthing centres of the Unison, slowing down Efari production in the process.

By the sol of 83'467 SC, the Notex Unison realised that the Efari were becoming more of a hinderance than a benefit. The Efari, like the Artrician's before them, were made sterile so that space could be freed up on the DNA chain for other enhancements. This therefore meant both races relied heavily on the Notex birthing centres in order to gain fresh members of their race. What the Notex needed was a race capable of procreation like other sentient races and thus requiring less dependance on the birthing centres. The Unison began to research into creating a variety of races in this period of time, not all neccessarily for the purpose of war, though many were with that intention. Yet it was in 83'512 SC that the Notex Unison finally managed to develop a race to replace the Efari.

Using a combination of Efari and captured Katani genetics, the new race called the Tafarin was born. The Tafarin were developed to change the face of the war, which they certainly did. Stronger than any mutant created so far and self-sustaining as a race, they spread out quickly from the birthing centres and the Notex Unison found themselves on the winning side once more. By the sol of 83'563 SC, the Notex Unison reduced the Monciffo Empire and Southern Pacts to half their original size. It would have only been a matter of sols to to completely finish both of the nations off and have the Notex reign supreme were it not for another more pressing matter that had started cropping up within the Notex Unison....

...Mutant Hunters...

In the Notex Unison's efforts to produce the best mutants, they had begun to neglect the ordinary Kaecian, Human and Elayan populace. Further more, people were beggining to question the ethnical morality of 'playing God' with sentient races genetics. From this disatisfaction rose a new breed of people, though many were just ordinary Human's, Elayan's or other natural races. Not only this, but not all stemmed from inside the Notex Unison as Hunters arrived from other nations, horrified by the results produced by the Notex Unison.

These Mutant Hunters began to attack the mutants where ever they found them, in their homes, at work or as they emerged from the birthing chambers. Sometimes these Mutant Hunters were organised, such as in groups like the Dark Inquisition and the Mutant Hunters Guild, at other times, these Mutant Hunter operated alone or in small groups. But which ever way they fought, they forced the Unison to fortify it's borders against the Southern Pact and the Monciffo Empire to prevent further incursions and use it's hordes of Tafarin to try and quench this new movement of people hunting their creations.

For the next thirty sols or so, the wars with the Empire and the Southern Pact came to stand still. Though fighting still continued, the Unison could not push deeper into those two terriotries without jepodising it's position to the Mutant Hunters internally.

And then disaster struck. Unbeknownst the Unison, the Tafarin were less loyal to the Unison than they had first thought. A Tafarin came to power and respect amongst the Tafarin people who saw the race as being slaves to the Unison and sought to free them from the Unison's 'evil' grip. The Tafarin, by the name of Ziolor, began to led an army of Tafarin against the Unison and those who would stand in his way, whether Southern Pact, Monciffo Empire or Mutant Hunter and by the sol of 83'609 SC had managed to amass a total of around eighty percent of the Tafarin to his cause.

Such measures severely weakened the Unison were being assaulted from both sides by the Pact and Empire and now hit from within by Hunters and their own Tafarin. The Southern Pact and the Monciffo Empire began to gain ground once more, though not much before they met system's being held by the new nation now called the Tafarin Free People's who were not about to let the Pact or the Empire take 'their' systems which they had managed to wrestle from the yoke of the Unison. Instead, for the next two centuries, that area of space became hotly contested between the Unison (who now reverting back to the old formula of using Efari despite their short comings), the Southern Pact, the Monciffo Empire and the Tafarin Free Peoples and it looked like it was the Tafarin were the ones taking no prisoner.

Now, while the bio-wars was going as that period of time became known from the rise of the first clones through the rise of the Tafarin Free People's, the nation of Zes had remained quiet. Holding to it's own star systems, it remained out of all the fighting and acted completely neutral in all affairs. Thus as chaos errupted around it, the nation of Zes had remained untouched.

Yet, in 83'800's, an old Elayan historian and peace keeper of the Zes nation uncovered ancient documents pertaining to the Treaty of Unity originally devised by the Lafe fleet upon colonising C69. He taught this information to his young and head strong apprentice by the name of Isarinsor. Isarinsor had always questioned the futility of the wars and his masters information was the spark he needed to act.

Isarinsor began to preach to the people of the nation of Zes about the need to lay down old arms and for the nations to become unified like their fore bearers had dreamed off upon colonising the galaxy. In a short space of time, Isarinsor began to gather a following. And this following grew to spread out over the manner of a few sols to engulf the whole of the nation of Zes. Even politican's from the nation started to stop and listen to Isarinsors ideologies and it was made a goal of the nation of Zes to put ideologies as a priority to intiated in 83'842 SC.

The word spread further to the nations of the Southern Pact, the Monciffo Empire and the Notex Unison and people actually stopped and listened. Travelling under dangerous circumstances, Isarinsor himself over the next twenty sols went out to all of the nations to talk with the people and the leaders and where ever he went, people turned up to hear what he said in their millions.

The sol was 83'864 SC when the leaders of the nations of the Southern Pact, the Monciffo Empire, the Notex Unison and the nation of Zes all sat historically down at a conferance table with Isarinsor. It is said that the meeting took three days to complete, and during this time none of the people in that room slept. What Isarinsor proposed, was returning to the Treaty of Unity for the nations, and eagerly, all four nations signed up.

Within four sol's, the face of the area of space changed dramatically. The four nations were abolished and now join under Isarinsor's banner of the nation of Lafe. A council of scientists were appointed to rule over the nation, allowing for further biological development to take place as had become the way of the nations of Lafe and this would be over seen by a special ethics commitee who's goal was to make sure that the board would not over step their mark at one time. Isarinsor was appointed the position of the first Grand High Professor of the nation of Lafe in 83'869.

What of the Askalan Unity?

The Askalan Unity never joined the nation of Lafe. In their attempt to strengthern their borders they biological virus's they built into their planet became so deadly that only a native born Askalan could live on an Askalan world. In 83'572 SC, it was agreed in the Assembly of Nations that the Askalan Unity would be put into quarintine to prevent their virus's from spreading outwards and causing massive virus epidemics in the galaxy. This quarintine has held ever since and in time, the Askalan Unity was no longer considered a nation but a collection of independant worlds that are not to be visited ever under strict orders of the Assembly of Nations and the Assembly of Independants. Both Lafe and the IA have taken it upon themselves to patrol the area and ensure that no vessel ever approaches or leaves these worlds.

Yet despite this formation of the new nation of Lafe, there were still problems to be dealt with by the nation. Firstly, and mainly, was the nation of the Tafarin's Free People's. With a life extended beyond what it should ever have were it not for stolen enhancements from the former Southern Pact, Ziolor still continued to lead the free people's in more and more wanton blood shed. Ziolor turned his armies against Lafe shortly after it's formation and the Lafe and the Tafarin's entered a war that would last a further three centuries until the hunting by Lafe had reached such an art that their were very few Tafarin left to live and most of those who had survived fled and spread out across the galaxy.

After the intense fighting with the Tafarin Free People's, the nation of Lafe finally came to be at peace with itself. Instead, the next millenia and half was spent with the nation reforming itself from the core ideas of the original nations that had made it up, striving to achieving the dream that Isarinsor and the Treaty of Unity proposed.

From the Southern Pact, the idea of using criminals as scientific guinea pigs was introduced across Lafe as it had should to not only be a useful deterrent, but a great source for research. From the Monciffo Empire, the idea of sending scouts out to scour the galaxy for new genetic material remained and the name, the Monciffo Scout Core, has stuck to this day despite the Empire no longer existing. From the Notex Unison came the idea the creation of mutants, whether they could procreate or not, and variance cloning. Also, the original bio-organic weapons design the Notex Unison used was introduce across the whole nation. Finally, from the nation of Zes came the unity the nation needed, leading the rest of Lafe as it's political centre.

It is believed that in this time, many of the mutant races that exist today were created at this point. However, despite having ethic committees to monitor how far they would 'play God' there were still those who remained disgruntled and put off by Lafe's mutant's and thus Mutant Hunters continue to be a nusiance, though no where near as strong as they once were within the Notex Unison. These Mutant Hunters have remained a part of Lafe ever since, so much so that when asked to sum Lafe up, outsiders will say, Mutants and Mutant Hunters.

In 85'678 SC, the new nation of Lafes encountered another problem. Since the foundation of Lafe, armies of Efari, Mefarin (advanced Efari developed by Lafe with some elements of Tafarin genetics but better loyality towards Lafe) and Katani operated side by side with bio-enhanced Human's, Elayan's and Kaecian's as it's defensive military forces incase any outside nations decided to attack. The Katani though had always been under the impression that like the Efari and Mefarin, they had been created by the scientists of Lafe.

However, it came to the attention of a number of Katani about the truth of their origin's and out raged, they sort to release the truth across the whole of Lafe. Protests and riots began from all quarters from Katani and some non-Katani supporters, causing the Lafe government to have to use their military forces to suppress they now onslaught from Katani protest within the nation. Though Lafe gave a formal appology the people of Katani in 85'684 SC, they stated there was nothing much more they could do and that the Katani were an intergral part now of Lafe society and very much valued. After all, where else could the Katani go?

The Katani soon showed the Lafe government where else they could. Together as one, the majority of Katani got up and left Lafe along with a number of their supporters and left a trail of destruction behind them in an uprising not seen since the Tafarin Free People's. They headed out of the corridor and to the star system of Infieda where the Katani homeworld was and began to educate the primative Katani of the world of what had occured and what the galaxy was like. Over the next century, the Katani and their supporters brought the primative Katani upto speed, introducing the remainer of the Katani race to the modern universe.

Meanwhile, the debate was up in action in Lafe's politcal halls. Some called that the traitor like Katani should be hunted down like the Tafarin had been to prevent them causing such a threat to the nation of Lafe like the Tafarin had. However, there was moral concerns regarding attacked a race native to the galaxy to whom had so far only reacted because of the deceit that they had been fed in the first place by the Monciffo Empire which in turn now meant Lafe. Already, Lafe was suffering embarrasment in the Assembly of Nations thanks to the truth of the Katani getting out and to make such an attack would seem unprovoked and cause even more problems for themselves. So all Lafe could so was sit there and watch.

With the introduction of the primative Katani to Katani society, the idealism of war grew once more. Unlike the tamed Katani that were once a part of Lafe, the Katani of Infieda still held a strong culture of war and honour. What Lafe had done was considered a grave dishonour to the Katani peoples, one only able to be repaid in blood. Yet the Lafe descended Katani who were wiser in the ways of the C69 galaxy knew that even if the Katani went full out against Lafe, the Katani would get their blood, yes, but would they win against Lafes vast armies? Not likely, for though Katani were tough, the Mefarin and bio-enhanced troops could be potentially stronger and they did vastly out number the Katani. They needed allies.

So it came to be that in 85'799 SC, the Katani people signed up to the Independant Alliance, presenting along with it their case of an independant race being used and abused by the nation of Lafe. The Independant Alliance agreed that this transition could not go unpunished and keen to have the powerful Katani onboard the Alliance and as part of their armed forces, they allowed the Katani to join them. Knowledgable in this area, the IA instructed that immediate action was not advisable and instead began to build up their forces within the area, centred around the strong point of the Infieda system.

Such a build up did not go unnoticed by Lafe nor the fact that the Katani had joined the Independant Alliance. The scientist / politician's of Lafe began to worry that their own forces would not be strong enough to repel any assault that the Independant Alliance or the Katani would throw against them. A young and brilliant Elayan scientist by the name of Jaisaius was charged with the mission of developing a new army of mutants that would be capable of defending the nation should the need arise. The Monciffo Scout Core had just recently brought back some interresting DNA samples from around the galaxy and keen to see it immediately implented without hinderance, Jaisaius was to work in secreat, away from the hindering eyes of the ethic commitees.

Nothing more was heard from Jaisaius for the next forty sols where by his hidden research laboratories worked hard to develop the next generation of Mutant soliders. Then, in the sol of 85'852 SC, Jaisaius presented his new creations to the government and public of Lafe.

Jaisaius had created not one new species of mutant, but several new species, all of whom were far tougher than the average person, built for the purpose of war, would complement each others fighting skills and were able to procreate to sustain themselves. These mutants, though of different species, all held a few things in common. Firstly, all could fly and had leathery, bat like wings to enable them do so. They also all had prehensile tales, capable of constricting and causing nasty wounds when used at close quarters. Some of these new races can be found described in the races section of this website and included races like the Morriette and Katani-Demons (originally called Katanius).

The government was pleased. The ethic commitees and Mutant Hunters were not. The press began to fire back and forth at each other, with supporting media hailing the new creations as brilliant insight and Lafes key to survival in the harsh C69 universe. Meanwhile, the opposing press brandished these Mutants as hellish nightmares, dubbing them to be demons and from this rose the name that they got known by down the eon's of time, Lafes Demon Armies.

Undettered by the ethic commitees's protests or the Mutant Hunters attempts to halt them, the Lafe government put the Demon Armies into full production, keeping an ever watchful eye on the growing forces in the area by the Independant Alliance. Truth be told, were it not for the Demon Armies, the Independant Alliance would have probably been in position to attack Lafe around the time of 86'000 SC, but the demon armies now meant that they had to rethink all their strategies.

By the sol of 86'438 SC, war had still not errupted between Lafe and the Independant Alliance. The two were locked into a bitter cold war, with the Independant Alliance building up it's regiments (bolstered by the Katani off course) while Lafe's armies of Mutants were now practically all members of the 'Demon' races. Production of other mutants like the Efari and Mefarin were brought to a practical halt in place of these troops.

Yet all was not right within the Demon armies. Bred for war and all assigned to military units, the new mutants grew restless. Lafe had still not learnt in giving it's mutants freedom yet and dissention grew in the ranks of a army that could nothing but fend of Mutant Hunter attacks.

A group of these mutants decided to band together in secreat and began to look for ways to break the situation. Some of them wanted freedom. Some of them wanted to fight. Yet they were not sure how to go about starting another revolution. Then, one day in 86'438, some of these Mutant's had an oppertunity to meet a gentleman hailing for the neighbouring nation of Cyran Dor. He placed a small oppertunity into the hands of the new mutants.

In 86'447, the mutants that had met with the diplomat had managed to gather enough support to cover about 30% of Lafe's Demon Armies and together, they suddenly all got up and left Lafe, heading towards the nation of Cyran Dor, destroying and taking out major Lafe military installations on the way. The government was at a loss. They had not expected this move from their latest creations and it finally came to it that the Lafe government realised that no matter how loyal they thought they could make their creations, there would always be that chance of revolt.

Within 48 hours of the rogue demon-armies leaving Lafe, did the nation of Cyran Dor declare war upon the nation Lafe. Having learnt from their experience with Resbinarge, Cyran Dor was now a harden and battle concentrated state. Regiments of warships carrying elite soliders of Humans, Elayans, Atiliak and Monasil now headed across the border, attacking the edge systems of Lafe. These armies were now also backed up by the rogue demon-mutants and the for the first few weeks of the war, Lafe was in turmoil until it's own armies managed to finally halt the sudden wave of attacks and began to hold their ground.

The war that ensured was a lengthy and bitter one. Both sides sought one way or another to out do the otherside, striking at one anothers weak spots before hastily pulling back to defend it's own weak areas. Armies bred for war met with a nation who's whole structure was meant for war. Meanwhile, in the politcal courts of the Assembly of Nations, political maneauvering was on the agenda as both sides sort allies to help give them the edge against the otherside.

One such maneauveur was with the Independant Alliance. With forces positioned in key spots ready to strike in Lafe after the cold war between the two of them, Lafe would have been in deep trouble should the Independant Alliance decide to side with Cyran Dor. Yet the Independant Alliance was not on good terms either with Cyran Dor after problems that the nation had caused during the Independant Alliances formation. Meanwhile, elements within Katani government were beginning to playaround with the ideas of alternative justice and means.

Cyran Dor did approach the Independant Alliance for assistance and the response they got was not one which they had expected. Yes, regiments of Independant Alliance ships and armies suddenly swarmed into the nation of Lafe in 87'105 SC, but instead of the expected attack, the Independant Alliance was their to bolster Lafe's borders, giving assistance to Lafe. In return for this assistance however, the Independant Alliance imposed several ideas that had to be implemented with their mutant creations. This included giving mutants the freedom to choose what they wanted to do. Though Lafe could encourage a mutant to take a certain avenue in life, they could no longer force them into a role. For elements in the Katani government, this single rule was enough to satisfy their long over due need for vengence (though not all, as many Katani left and joined with Cyran Dor).

At first, the Lafe government was afraid to impose this ruling, but realising that they needed the Independant Alliance's help, they agreed and to their suprise, when the offer went forward to their demon armies, 97% of the mutants choose to remain a part of Lafes forces. Together now, the Independant Alliance and Lafe took the war to Cyran Dor.

By 87'698 SC, the war was now being pushed deeper into Cyran Dor and the two nations had the nation on the retreat. Despite war being their way of life, Cyran Dor was finding itself quickly pushed back and lossing ground quickly. It looked like it wouldn't be long before Cyran Dor fell completely to the two nations. Then something happened that would change the face of the war. The IFA.

Signing a treaty with Feareo, the new nation of the IFA (Independant Feareo Alliance) was formed between Feareo and the Independant Alliance. The Independant Alliance had been assisting Feareo in some way for a while now against the nation of Deltaria, but in 87'652 SC, the nation of Delta Requis was formed and now the Independant Alliance and Feareo needed to do something to combat this deadly threat on the other side of the galaxy. As the newly formed IFA, Lafe found itself having it's support from the nation with drawn to deal with this bigger threat, the IFA calculating that Lafe was more than capable of finishing the job themselves.

The Lafe government understood and respected this and allowed the IFA to go peacefully, continuing to push into Cyran Dor. However, things began to slow down now, for Lafe was now doing it on their own and somehow, regiments and outposts of theirs were mysterousily vanishing. Why or how is still not known to this day however and the period of time is often looked at with much thought as to what was attacking and destroying Lafes armies.

Then in 88'003 SC, a critical blow came to Lafe when the League of Independance signed a treaty with Cyran Dor and the two nations brought the war back to Lafe, forcing Lafe out of Cyran Dor and back across the border by the sol of 88'146 SC. The IFA now having been dismantled due to Assembly of Nation orders, the Independant Alliance once more turned to give Lafe further assistance and their timely intervention prevented the League of Independance and Cyran Dor pushing any further back into Lafe terriotry. The war came to a stand still and in 88'252 SC, Cyran Dor and Lafe finally signed a peace treaty. ending the war between the two nations.

Since this time, Lafe has not been involved in any major war. There have been some minor skirmish's between Lafe and other nations on occasions, but these have brief and any after effects quickly ironed over. However, for the next ten millenia, the nation of Lafe and Cyran Dor have been watching each other carefully and though neither side would admit it, there is a cold war of sort in play between the two nations.

Current Status: Externally, Lafe has been at peace now for some ten millenia, quite a feat for any C69 nation. However, this does not mean things are completely well within the nation itself. Mutant research has continued much as it always has done for a long time now and the demon armies still defend the nation. Yet scientists and mutants alike are constantly having to battle the likes of ethic commitees and Mutant Hunters.
