Rosend is a small kennel, which began in 1988, and typically includes about four Boxers making up our family. We began our kennel with the purchase of two brindle bitch puppies, Glennroe Brandy N'Cream, Brandy, and High Crest's Desert Rose, Lacey. From this beginning, we achieved our first champion, Brandy, and our first home-bred champion out of Lacey, Ch. Rosend's Stardust, Dusty. But it was through our next purchase that we have achieved success beyond our expectations--Bridgewood's B.K. Kahuna, Raider. He is the patriarch of our kennel, sire and grandsire of many of our current champions...all Rosend Boxers will include Raider in their pedigree.
We are members of the East Bay Boxer Club and the American Boxer Club (ABC). Lynda has been a member of the ABC's Top 20 Committee and an ABC Regional Zone Director. Most of our weekends are spent at dog shows, and while these are competitive events, they also provide an exciting social scene, where some of our best friends can be counted. We used to have a litter about every 2 years, but our breeding frequency has diminshed as we've gotten older. But, we have access to and/or knowledge of litters with our bloodlines or litters local to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Our goal is to breed Boxers that exemplify the standard, both in conformation and personality and we take great care to ensure our Boxers have passed appropriate health tests. But, even more importantly, we are adament in ensuring that each Boxer we breed, if not in our care, is in a loving and caring home.
Our Boxer family includes 3 ABC Legion of Merits, 6 ABC Top 20 Contenders (3 of whom were two-time Contenders), 7 ABC Sires of Merit, 6 ABC Dams of Merit, 4 Grand Champions, one of whom is an all-breed multiple Best In Show winner at just 15 months of age, and other Boxers who are recipients of many prestigious wins. Our Boxers have 31 Best In Specialty Show wins, for which we are very proud. We are also the owner/co-breeders of the 2004 Grand Futurity Winner, Ch. Rosend's Time After Time.
