December 1987 - May 2001

Brandy is the elder stateslady of the Rosend clan. She was our first showdog and we put her, and our, first points, including a major, on her from the puppy classes. We then turned the handling reins over to Gary Steele, who guided Brandy to her championship. Brandy has lost much of her patience with puppies in her later years and prefers napping on the couch and remaining above the fray. She is the dam of Ch. Rosend's Heartbreaker, will play ball until she drops, and is a phenomenal catch, often defying gravity. She was her Daddy's number one girl and could always find a spot on Jerry's lap.

Brandy has now said her goodbyes at the tender age of 13 years and 5 months old. She went through radical surgery for cancer 6 weeks earlier, with the cancer returning with a vengence just 3 weeks later. She is sorely missed, but is now without pain, with an unending supply of balls thrown to her for catch. Brandy was our first in so many ways...she is forever in our hearts and memories.

February 1990 - January 1999

Dusty was our first homebred champion, from our first litter. She is a plain fawn bitch and we could probably have attempted an easier task for our first homebred champion. But since she was the only bitch and we felt her quality was exceptional, we decided to pursue her championship. Although several of her points were owner/breeder handled, Gary Steele campaigned Dusty to her championship fairly easily. She is the dam of Ch. Rosend's Corporate Raider, SOM, OFA, ABC Regional Best Puppy and Reserve Winners Dog.

Dusty said her goodbyes to all the whippersnappers last year, suffering from cancer. She is sorely missed, but is now without pain, enjoying herself on the Rainbow Bridge. She is forever in our hearts and memories.
