If you or someone you know is in mental distress, call a mental distress hotline. A Boys town hotline or someother helpline can usually be found in your local phone book in the yellow pages. Usually they are open 24 hours and are run by caring volunteers that will talk about anything to try and help you sort out anything that may be bothering you. They are completly anonymous. When you call, do not give up if you get a busy signal. Keep trying. Your local emergency room is always open if you need immediate help. Dial 911, explain your situation, and go from there.
