Our name, This Glassy surface comes from the poem inside the back of the This Time Around cd.
"This Glassy Surface, don't wander through this glassy surface, expecting to find more than me. For what am I without a purpose, but a lone mirage to see."
Why choose This Glassy surface? Well I thought the name sounded great. Second, it describes what a lot of people feel when they have a mental disorder. They feel they are "looking through a glassy surface". They refuse to let others in and let them know how they truly feel. And those that live with a mentally ill person feel they are outside looking in.
