Day 6
Sunday December 25, 2005

Merry Christmas

Gaming:
After lunch me and Mike tried out the Treasure Chest video poker machines. The progressive was up over $1200. I quickly dropped $40 despite hitting a quad about 10 hands in. I worked my way back up and hit a few more quads along the way including 2 about 10 hands apart from each other. After about 2 hours I quit ahead by $100. I also had 6 scratch cards. 4 for $2 and 2 for $3 for a total of $14.

After diner we all came back to Main Street Station and I hit the triple play machines here that have 10 coin triple plays. I hit a decent amount of quads and had the meter up but then things cooled off and I ended up dropping $200 here. I was getting too many hands where I didn’t hit any pay off at all. I got five scratch cards here. 2 for $2 and 3 for $3 for a total of $13. So far it seems to me that the cards have gotten a little better than my last few trips as I am getting fair amount of $3 cards this time and have even had a few $5 ones.

Next up I wanted to play some craps but the tables were jammed. Instead we played some penny slots. These were fun and I played Texas Tea, I Dream of Jeannie, and Risqué Business. I started with $20 and I lost a little on the first 2 games but did really well on the Risqué Business game getting the meter up over $70. I finally cashed out with a $20 win after well over an hour of entertainment.

For the last session for the day I hit the Boar Bar and played some more VP. I was up and down here and hit a fair amount of quads and even a straight flush. I wasn’t hitting anything in between and dropped $100 here. I did get 5 more scratch cards at the bar. 2 for $2 and 3 for $3 for a total of $13. In total today I got 16 cards for $40.

Dining:
I started off my day with a quick lunch at the Triple 7 with Yahtzee Mike who had just arrived. I had my usual filet mignon sandwich with fries. Very good as usual and we were on our way.

For dinner we all met up at Boulder Station for dinner at the Broiler Steakhouse. This was my first time here. I ordered the filet mignon. The meal here comes complete with vegetables, choice of potato and their soup and salad bar. The food was good although I didn’t really care for the rub that they used on the meat.

Late night I hit the Market Street Café over at the California. I had the hot open turkey. It was tasty but the service really sucked in here tonight.

Total win/loss for the day: -$150
Total comps for the day: $162
