A cheaper way than being a soldier for re-enacting is to be in a militia. The Acadian milice portrays Acadian militia during the seven years war. The equipment and dress are less uniform than soldiers thus less expensive if you choose so. This group is in the Maritimes as well as Maine. They go the most major Seven Years War events and participate with the French troops and native contingents. They also participate in shoots.
