I'm Still Stand'n; Being A Single Parent of 4 - Yes I am. A single mom of 4 (or any number) is harder then it looks. I built this site to help single parents, consumers; just a JOHN Q PUBLIC kinda site. Some people are downright mean to ya (AND YOUR KIDS) when your a single parent, let alone of a large family. Smirks, sneers and most of all, from the families of those you date. Nice eh? Some think your just a gold digger... (as if they HHHHHAAADDDD any gold). pfft! Think I'll just add 'em to my 'kiss my pale ass' section below. LMAO! MOM, to all - Yes I am. At least 20 teens visit or stay over on weekends in my home (NO not all at once silly). I have nothing to drink in the house, so I know they are: dry, warm, and safe. Yes they make noise and a mess, but they help clean up. I feed 'em, throw them in the shower, wash their clothes, etc. I take them where they need to go, pick them up when they are stranded and we all go out shopping sometimes too. I treat them like my own kids, because, they are. I am blessed to have such life and laughter in my home. They CALL ME "MOM". I love you guys, you make me smile. Thank you. What I want in a man... - Smart & Playful (a must), Sense of humor (a must), Patient (at least some for pete's sake), Positive minded, Open minded (yeah), Independent (yeah), thinks for self (for petes sake),small things amuse him, loves chess, enjoys gardening and animals, enjoys kids, loves to travel once in a while as well as stay at home sort of guy. Handy (repairs), has no issues with sharing, doesnt mind holding me if I have a nightmare (and not bitching at me for waking him up), no belittling / browbeating, not petty, bitchy, or whiner, not a tyrant or control freak.... will love and protect me (in this crazy ass world). Warped ok, twisted unacceptable PERIOD. Where I'm from, men are mean to their women. They think just because they know a some manners they are respectful... what a crock of crap that is. Guess I'll be growing old alone... ;) If its not your job (or you dont do it) STFU - yeah... I just don't get people who stand there (doing nothing), who point out what needs to be done without even making an effort to do it. Your a talk-er or a do-er... these people are the talkers... masters of the obvious...STFU. Lead, Follow, or get the hell out of the way... - damned right. Your entitled to your opinion: -and so am I. If your one of those half baked mother f'ers who get mad when someone doesnt do things the way you do, or agree with you... I think your mommy nursed ya too long. Just because you have a question, doesnt mean you are entitled to an answer; unless its regarding your children... What I am - I am mostly English, a good chunk of Apache, with just a hint of French... and WA-LA! Tis me *Grin*. My family came over here about 1609-1610 to Jamestowne (mothers side). What I do - -I take care of my kids, my disabled mother, my home, yard, donate my time/skills and items to single parents, garden as much as I find the time, and of course, help friends. Will someone please pass me a band-aid for my water logged thumb? *SMIRK* Me-looks -I take after my fathers side of the family ...just the looks, I hope...God help me. SIZE 6 1/2 - foot that is... just the right size to insert up someone's... well, you know, for those whom swing their finger at me, I return the favor with a size 6 1/2 foot. You see, I dont take kindly to my rights (any of them) being stomped on. If some one is kind enough to do so, well, .... da chick foot enters the picture. *GRIN* COFFEE -I confess, I am a MAJOR coffee hound. I love my coffee ...with sugar, and lots (LOTS!) of cream. Growing up-I was always a 'tomboy' while growing up, but the older I get, the more I find that I actually like ladies things. Such as, fruity smelling shower gels, soft perfume body powder, pretty lace clothing, flowers and even pink toe nail polish *big grin*. I just like playing with the stuff. Yup I really do. But I still have the battlegear when required *wink* Only one-I find that sometimes you just have to do, what you have to do. Battle gear is a term I use when referring to standing my ground and doing what I must. I believe we all should be kind to one another. Being a b*tch is nothing to be proud of...it's easy to be a b*tch (anyone can do it). I will walk away from anyone whom is a jerk. However, I am not a pacifist either. I firmly believe in defending myself and/or my family. I will by any means necessary...there are no rules to street fighting. As far as I am concerned, Computers- I love computers. It gives me a great deal of mental stimuli...Hardware, software and computer programming...building, upgrading and repairing. It's an ever changing/advancing technology. You have to keep up with it, ahead of the curve. Since there are so many different fields involving computers, pick one that interests you and ride the wave. As for me, I like to do a little bit of everything. Technology-It’s a beautiful thing. Like it or not, it’s a part of your daily life (traffic lights, ATM’s, in your radios, cars, remotes, coffee makers, etc). Research it and you shall see there are some VERY COOL toys on the market today. Stubborn- -Yup, a wee bit stubborn I am...hey, its what makes me determined *wink* My Spelling S*cks -So what *GRIN* pfft...you should see my hand writing...LMAO! Simple things amuse me- Yup, its true. Simple things do amuse me. And yet the strange thing is that I have to have mental stimuli...literally. Oh it’s hard to explain.... I am who I am :) Scattered- Yup, I’m that too (oh so what)...at least I’m not in denial. Also facetious (yes indeedy) and sometimes a wee bit too curious for my own good (*snicker*). Moxie-I admire anyone with moxie, period. Music-Music soothes my soul...I dont know how else to put it. I am a major music hound, and simply LOVE all kinds of music(except for opera). Since most opera's are in spanish or italian, and I am not fluent in either language, I don't get it. I can manage without it :) All of my children love music also; one loves nothing but heavy metal, one loves country and hip hop, one loves soft rock, one loves rock and roll and hip hop. I hope they explore more with music, but only time will tell. I live in southern New Jersey- There’s nothing like the feel of sand between ones toes, I don’t care what anyone says...its very soothing. "Whats that smell in New Jersey?" I am asked….. I could blame it on the trade winds, but what it boils down to is this: That’s the smell of Money man. What I want out of life- I want some peace for pete’s sake...LOL!...I just want to be happy, enjoy silly stuff, plant my garden and have some peace. I honestly don't think thats too much to ask for out of life. Mess’n with me- If you want to joke around that’s fine…I’ll play along. I don’t care how many personalities you have and that’s none of my business anyway...you just make sure you keep the mean ones away from me. *she puts dukes up* its gonna be just you and me pilgrim. My Home- No matter where I live, I do projects in my home and yard; it keeps me busy and I enjoy it. The way I see it, in 40 years, some one else will be living in that structure, calling it home...so do what makes you happy :) I have to WHAT when I grow old?!!- First of all, age is a state of mind. If you keep telling yourself your old, your body (the shell) will feel it. I know several teens who do nothing and many seniors whom are very active. I have seen it far too many times...old people pass on, and all of their kids converge like vultures (fighting too)...just to squander what their parents suffered to save. I dont want to just exhist...I want to live. My kids will get what ever I dont use first.If someone doesn’t like that philosophy, step aside bucko, I have some live'n ta do. Sex- No one is going to make me feel ashamed of my sexuality.... I am human and have needs...besides, its mine and I can do what ever I want with it. Dont like it? Again, step aside. Those Dixie Chicks- Everyone is entitled to their opinions….but as far as I am concerned, they rank right up their with Jane Fonda and John Kerry. I’ll never buy another cd of theirs...and if they are on the radio, I WILL change the station. That Anna Nicole- Let me see if I have this right; she can't cook, can't clean, not terribly bright, has no obvious skills and is a complete ding-bat (whom makes all women look stupid)... What the heck... Diet Soda and Fat Free Foods-EWWWWW-YUCK!!! *spit, sputter, spit spit* Fishing Shows-I love fishing and can even bait my own hooks. But have you noticed that every single one of those fishing shows has a fat man in a little boat? Whats up with that? They should call those shows "Fat man...in a little boat". (Oh relax, I'm just kidding here...some of my BEST friends are fishermen) Nagging and B*tching-Hate is a very strong word....but I do....I simply HATE being nagged at. It makes me mutter to myself. Personally, I don’t just dont understand miserable people and why they insist upon sweating the small stuff. Marriage- scared to do it again... men (some) change when they marry you. Some men are nice to others, while being mean to those they live with. Its like... a front they put on, and its not really who they are. When I find a man who doesnt put on fronts... I'll marry him. Playful and Adventurous-I admire anyone who is playful and adventurous...and they are the most fun to hang out with (they make me laugh).
