Homer gets asn illegal cable TV hook-up and invites all his friends to the house to watch a major upcoming boxing match. Lisa learns about the eighth commandment at Sunday School and fears her family will really go to hell for stealing cable. Lisa seeks advice from Reverend Lovejoy, who tells her to set an example by not watching any cable programs. Marge also worries that cable is a negative influence on the family and suggests that they get rid of it. Homer, however, is determined to keep his cable and watch the big fight with his friends. On the night of the big fight, Lisa protests and is sent outside by Homer, where Marge joins her. During the fight, Homer's conscience finally wins over and he leaves the gathering to sit with his family. After the match, wire cutters in hand, he climbs the power pole in front of his house and snips the cable line--plunging the neighborhood into total darkness. |
