Game one of Skid's season at Citi. August 29th - GAME #135 vs Philadelphia Phillies (61-72)
Jacob deGrom (4-6) vs Alex Wood (9-9) The Mets called up second baseman Dilson Herrera from Double-A to get some playing time with Daniel Murphy on the DL with a calf injury.

63-72

The Mets got what seems to be their daily four hits but won. Jacob deGrom pitched very well again but it took a dropped fly ball by the Phillies to put the Mets ahead. Eric Campbell stole home on a double steal in the same inning. It was the first time the Mets scored at least three runs in an inning without a hit since July 1999.

I watched this game at home after what was my last day of vacation before being "Officially" retired. I met my brother at the local wings/beer joint and we had a few beers with a late lunch. I got home in time to watch most of the game and the Phillies give it away with the dropped fly ball. The Mets are barely ahead of the Phillies for last place in the NL East, this is an important series.
