Game one of Skid's season at Citi. August 12th - GAME #120 vs Washington Nationals (63-53)
Jason deGrom is skipping a start with elbow discomfort, the Mets called up Rafael Montero (0-2) against the first place Nats Doug Fister (11-3). The Mets are 7-1/2 games out behind Washington and maybe they can make up some ground in the NL East.

57-63

Tonight's game showed why the Nationals are in first place and the Mets are in fourth. Butt whoopin'. And it rained most of the game.

I got to watch this game live at it's 4pm start time. [although it would have been ok to miss this one] Today was my first day retired and no work! I did nothing all day. Well, some guitar playing and cleaning up from two nights of parties. Retirement hasn't quite hit me yet. Just seems like a day off. But I got lots of days off ahead. Today I got a big package delivered from UPS. I opened it to find an awesome 2012 Johan Santana No-Hitter Commemorative framed and matted photos and ticket. Apparently this is a gift for signing up for 2015 Mets Fantasy Camp! How awesome was that? It's going up on my wall by my desk next to my autographed Mike Piazza pic, Mookie/Buckner auto pic, and framed Shea patches. What an awesome birthday/retirement gift!

Best of luck to Jeremy Hefner who reinjured his arm while rehabbing.
