Carlos Torres pitched well for a last minute fill in start for Bartolo Colon. Lucas Duda hit his 22nd home run further proving that the Mets made the right choice in trading Ike Davis. A usually strong bullpen let this one get away as the Mets for the fifth straight game got less than four hits.
I got out of bed just in time for first pitch. Had some coffee and let the cool morning breeze blow through the house while watching the game. By the time the Cubs had closed it out with a win the temperature had risen to the high 80's and I had to close up the house and turn on the A/C. Road trip tomorrow to Oakland!
