Glasshouse Trail Information

Glasshouse 100 - Sep 8/9 - Map- Possible training runs

Welcome to Australia's first 100 mile Trail Run held at the Glasshouse Mountains in Queensland. The event is usually scheduled in September, the 100 miles starting at 5.30am on Saturday from the Beerburrum State School. There is a cut off time of 30 hours. There is a western section of about 100km. There are spectacular views of the mountains. The course includes the summit of Mt Beerburrum and the well-named Goat Track. The section along the powerlines can be particulary gruelling! After returning to Beerburrum, there is an eastern section of about 60km that includes the summit of Wild Horse Mountain where entrants get a great view of the area.

The Glasshouse 50 in May has runs of about 10, 30 50 and 80kms. The ultra run can be used as a qualifier for the Glasshouse 100. Please note that in 2007 the event will be based at Woodford.

The Matthew Flinders Tour is held in July with events of about 8, 24 and 50kms.
