The Stick Man Speaks 27jun01
People. We haven't gone off the face of the planet. After Underworld we went to Europe for two shows as you know and we're just taking some time to prepare for making an awesome new album. Apologies if we seem quiet/inactive/comatose/absent. Thanks for everyone who turned out to the London show by the way. Very touched by the crowd that night. Sniff.
See you soon,

At the recent Midsummer Nightmare date sponsored by Metal Hammer K2T played a new song 'Frame of Mind' and a remixed version of 'Spineglass'. The new song is a lot more ocmplex and musical, and SG just kicks more ass than ever. Go to the Tour page to read a full review of the evening's goings on.

The Last & Final Word on This Subject 29apr01
After careful consideration the three remaining members of Kill II This have decided to release one statement regarding Caroline's recent press statement. Matt, Mark and Rooney are currently writing the new Kill II This album TOGETHER. Caroline didn't seem to have any enthusiasm for this and remained totally uninvolved in this creative process. This led to a distinct atmosphere of tension at rehearsal sessions which remained unaddressed right up until her leaving. She was not willing to contribute any ideas to the writing, despite all of us repeatedly asking for her input. The rehearsing and recording sessions for the Trinity album were rife with pressure and tension due to the label setting an incredibly tough deadline for completion of the record, but despite this, Caroline for reasons best known to herself, turned up precisely once, in just under 3 weeks of band rehearsals and pre-production. Therefore, when the recording of "Trinity" began, virtually no work had been done on the rhythm section as a whole, and quite clearly she had not done the "homework" required to ensure her performance was anywhere near up to scratch. This led to producer Andy Sneap refusing to use Caroline's bass tracks on the
finished product and Mark, with no time to waste on further rehearsals, having to play the bass lines himself. It can also be noted that there was no need to reject Caroline's bass parts for the "Deviate" album, when she had actually bothered to show up for the rehearsals. We do not feel anything more need be said on this subject. The band are currently continuing with the writing of the new album at the same time as preparing for a number of European summer festivals.

Ex Bassist Talks Back 11apr01
11 Apr 2001 Caroline Campbell has slammed the remaining members of Kill II This after departing from the band. The bassist, who her ex-bandmates claim left for "personal, professional and musical differences", has expressed anger at the way Kill II This have explained away her departure. An indignant Campbell told metalhammer.co.uk: "I've spent three years pouring my heart and soul into Mark Mynett's band and I feel deeply hurt that our professional relationship has ended this way. The statement suggests that it was my attitude and conduct that lead to the split. This is completely misleading. I very definitely quit Kill II This. I distinctly remember the words 'fuck' and 'you'. If they wish to maintain the façade that they're not a one-man band, that's up to them. However, when it was pointed out to me that Mark Mynett recorded all the bass parts to our last album while I believed I was recording the very same parts in an adjacent room, I decided enough was enough. The only reason I can see for deceiving me in such a ruthless and hurtful way is to maintain some kind of megalomaniacal control over the band." Campbell herself has pledged to "keep on making music".
Original bassist returns for FF support dates 12mar01
Original Kill II This bassist Pete Stone, who played and toured on the bands debut album "Another Cross II Bare", has returned to the fold for the bands upcoming Fear Factory support slot, following the departure of Caroline Campbell. No decision has been reached at present, whether or not Pete, who initially split from the band due to financial commitments, will be Carolines permanent replacement. There is some stuff about him on the Bios page.
Caz has Left The Band! 12mar01
Kill II This vocalist Matt Pollock has made the following statement:-
"Carolines departure from Kill II This has been on the cards for quite a while, and has come as no surprise to the band. It is actually the second time she has left the band, after reconsidering her decision the first time. The reasons are due to personal, professional and musical differences between Caroline and the rest of the band that eventually became irreconcilable. The band are well aware that a lot of people will think that this split is due to Kill II This being a one-man band with a hire 'em/fire-em policy from Mark, who is the bands original member. For the record, anyone thinking this is mistaken- this is simply not the case.....if it were, I would not have remained the vocalist of Kill II This for 3 years. For the past seven months myself, Mark and the bands drummer Steve, have been writing material for the bands next album. We were constantly trying to involve Caroline in this writing process, but it soon became obvious that for one reason or another, she was not interested in doing so.Inevitably, this lead to a sense of distance between ourselves and Caroline.
The only thing left to say is that we sincerely wish her all the best."
