Forthcoming Album 6dec00
As said by Mr Mark..."Things are progressing VERY nicely with the new material. However we are determined not to let our label rush us into recording this next album as they did to us with Trinity. What I will say is that it will sound NOTHING like DV8 or Trinity and only 1 of the 3 new songs we were playing during the last tour will even make it to the album". More when it comes...

Tour Press Release 16nov00
"Kill II This were extremely upset by the numerous incidents of violence, aggression and even self-mutilation during our recent U.K.tour. Our lyrics, although fixed on the darker side of life, do not glorify violence in any way, shape or form. The lyrics to the song "Twisted" from the Deviate album were written about mental scars and the slippery slopes of serious depression and DO NOT glorify self-mutilation as some people have misinterpreted. We therefore seriously request that anyone planning to attend a Kill II This show with even the slightest notion of causing fights or trouble to please not bother - we would prefer that you stayed away."
K2T are covered! 23oct00
As reported by Thumper, the band Little Hell played a cover of the Kill II This song 'Kill Your Gods' at the Edinburgh Venue on the 19th of October. I guess that means the guys are really famous!

Julie Weir from Visible Noise Records (the one K2T are signed to) posted to the web board about the Street Team she wants to set up. She is currently looking for people all over the UK to participate in street level promotion for both Kill II This and the label in general. Get in touch with her via email asap on: julie@visiblenoise.com. Benefits of the Street Team include: Free promo stuff, t-shirts, entry to gigs and clubs, contact with the bands and cool stuff generally.
New Songs 18sep00
2 new songs recently written by the band entitled 'Washed Unclean' and 'Shine' might be played on the upcoming tour, apparently they are a departure from the trademark sound employed on 'Trinity' and 'Deviate'.
The Kerrang! Day Of Rock 30aug00
The set at Virgin went down a storm, with new drummer Steve showing his stuff, and the band winning over the crowd effortlessly. A review, a link to a live performance of 'Figure of 8ight' and a couple of shots can be seen at the Official Website. An interview with Mark is also here.
Official Press Release About New Drummer 15aug00
From Mark Mynett:
"Kill II This are delighted to announce confirmation that their new drummer is Steve Rooney from the band Fister. After receiving well over 100 applications for the position, with auditions held over a period of 3 weeks, the band can confirm that he is a player with utterly awesome technique, power and versatility that clicked immediately with the band on all levels.
Despite living in London, Steve is a northerner and is from Doncaster, South Yorkshire. He is 25 years old, and has a look, personality, sense of humour and professional attitude that will work perfectly with the band.
The new line-up is to play their debut show on August 22nd at the Kerrang Day of Rock.
Kill II This would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every drummer that applied to fill the vacant drum-stool, as we were overawed with the volume of response we received."
More about Steve in the Bios section.

More on the Tairrie B Remixes 25jul00
The future of the remixes (the idea was to release 2 Tribes as a single with Figure of 8, Tarrie B's vocals would replace Burton C Bell's) seem unclear, as posted by Mark M yesterday:
"To be brutally honest I am totally unsure if the Tairrie B remixes are now gonna happen,if they do it may be November"
About the new ACIIB artwork 25jul00
Another Cross II Bare, the first album from Kill II This, has been re-released with new artwork. Reasons why from main man, Mark Mynett:
"We re did the artwork as it was banned in Japan (it is illegal to use a deformity for a commercial purpose, Alice In Chains also had their 3 legged dog cover banned). The original artwork also went down in Germany like the proverbial clown at a funeral."
I must admit I didn't like it that much myself. Ssee Releases to make up your own mind and find out more about the album.
Official word on the departure of Mr. Calvert 17jul00
As said by Mark Mynett on the web board (thanx BrutalSounds):
"A mutual parting of ways has resulted in Ben Calvert no longer being the drummer in Kill II This. The reasons for this are due to personal and professional differences between Ben and the rest of Kill II This, particularly myself and Caroline.Put very simply, there were just so many issues, that we eventually had to agree to disagree about, that it became obvious that it was in both Bens and the bands best interests to take seperate paths. When I met with Ben last Thursday, during our conversation,he stated that he wanted a complete change of lifestyle."
Ben has left the band 4jul00
Anyone seeing the band play at The Lost Weekend would notice that Ben Calvert was not at his usual place behind the drums. Instead Jay from Vacant Stare was doing the honours. I talked to Mark who said that Benny had been asked to leave the band on Thursday 28th June, just two days before The Lost Weekend gig, due to 'unprofessional behaviour onstage' - which we think means he was enjoying too much of the 'good life', and it was affecting his performance. Luckily Jay stepped in at the last moment, and did himself proud (a few details about him on the Bios page). However he already has commitments to Vacant Stare, and so is only a temporary replacement. We wish K2T luck in their forthcoming search.
Trinity Album Keeps on Charting 10jun00
As detailed in Kerrang! Trinity:VV&TVM stays in the Rock Top 30 - at 22 (May 20), 24 (May 27) and 28 (3 June). As of June 10th, it is STILL hanging in there at 36. We love it.
The Tairrie B Trinity Remixes 5jun00
As posted by MM on the K2T board:
"you are not alone in wanting to hear the Miss B remixes.I spoke to Tairrie last week + she was asking the same thing. At present I am unsure when these re-mixes are gonna happen but watch this space + I'll make a posting as soon as I know"
European Tour Finishes 31may00
The European leg of the Trinity tour has now finished and the band are back in England, taking a much deserved break. Fan postings on the web board have reported that they kicked ass, but read what Mark Mynett - man man of the band - posted today...
"The tour went down like the proverbial clown at a funeral--appalling promotion/organization/cancelled shows and therefore pretty piss-poor attendances overall, despite the co-headlining bill of ourselves Misery Loves Co.+ Earthtone 9 being,in my humble opinion a strong one.Anyway despite the shows themselves being far from earth-shattering,I managed to have a great time."
Trinity Album Charts High 13may00
In this week's Kerrang! Kill II This's recent release Trinity: Voodoo, Vice & The Virgin Mary enters the Top 40 Rock Album Chart at number 18. Way to go guys!
Mark Mynett Posting on US release & Tour 10apr00
"We are hoping for a release "over the pond" in October. We have just completed negotiations and finally signed a 5 year management contract with L.A. based company E.S.P. management {who take care of Megadeth amongst others}. E.S.P. are currently speaking to a number of labels concerning the release of "Trinity",and it is therefore hoped that we will be touring the U.S.later in the year."
