There is one and only one thing that differentiate Africa from the rest of the world, and that is: it is poor. Poverty is a word that is associated with Africa and other developing countries. Apart from this, poverty has contributed negatively towards our socio-economic life, our self-esteem as compared to other countries, our level of growth and how we relate to one another.
Our level of thinking about ourselves has a great impact on our socio-economic lives. The developed countries will always be on top of us as long as we regard ourselves as lower than in all things. My point here, is that nobody is incapable of achieving anything that they put their minds and soul to. This project is about helping the socially and economically excluded individuals to realize that they too can develop and help their communities become better place for tomorrows generations.
Everybody is capable of doing something better than somebody else and that means that we too can change the world by utilizing the little that we have. The little that we have is sufficient to achieve the big that we want. All it takes is a little bit of creativity and effort to make a difference. Nobody is poor if he or she utilizes the little resources that they possess to their fullest potential.
VISION
It is our vision to establish an organization that will serve the needs of the street children in the entire Free State province. To provide them with a safe home, food, clothing, and education and training in order to help them become community builders.
MISSION
It is the aim of this organization to help children who live in our city streets in the Goldfields region who have no reasonable means of support and give them hope. We intend doing this through giving a home to live and developing their spiritual, psychological, educational and physical needs. We do this in order to help them to become independent adults who will be community developers.
