HOME UPDATES
September 8th, 2007
September 8th is a bittersweet day for our family. Today is the 2 month anniversary of Lindsey's homecoming as well as what would have been Chelsea's 10th birthday.

Lindsey is thriving!! Many kids adopted from orphanges are delayed in some way. Lindsey is 15 1/2 months old and still not walking. Other than her cleft lip and palate this is really her only delay. It is amazing to us how far she has come. She remains very happy and full of personality. Looking back to gotcha day I am amazed. She has gone from not even knowing she had legs to crawling and cruising. She feeds herself and loves to eat.

Her weight is up almost 3 pounds also! She loves her brother and likes to bite his nose! Today she was standing up and showed me how she can squat. She was SO excited after she did it so she did it again. Only this time she banged her chin! Poor thing. She is really a trooper.

We are awaiting "official" confirmation for her lip closure. We are going to Portland for it but they won't confirm the date until 6 weeks prior. It is almost certainly going to be November 8th, 2007.

Jesse loves his little sister. It is so funny to me to listen to him tell her to leave his stuff alone!

She is into EVERYTHING. Brings back good memories. Just tonight she opened the toilet and put her toy ducks in it!! I forgot to close the bathroom door. Never again! I have included some pictures of Lindsey and her brother.

Jesse, whale watching

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do!!!
