Warrior without a cause
Aidan's head leveled and he joined the ranks of
Brujah fighting the Ventrue driven English. It is
rumored that Aidan and Augustos even corresponded
with Critas, a famed Brujah who sat as Chicago's
Primogen for many years. Critas influenced the French
to aid the American's, and may have recruited Aidan
to travel to France in the late 1780's to help fight
for French Independence. As the America's fell into
the cruel hands of the Sabbat, and France fell into
an even more opressive state than it began, Aidan,
now seperated from his Sire, was left disheartened
and (yet again) confused.
He soon found another cause to grab onto, and he
returned to America to fight for the freedom of the
Native American's. During this painful campaign he
made contacts within the Gangrel clan, and may have
encountered several of the changing breed, Garou. The
fight for Indian freedom went down the drain quickly,
and Aidan threw himself immediately into another
battle for freedom, the Civil War. Disgusted with
slavery, and already hating the Southern States, he
took up the cause. Again, the battle came full circle
and Aidan found himself amidst the opressive,
Northern-imposed Reconstruction.
Ashamed with the experiment in freedom called
America, Aidan felt the need to return to the
homeland he could not remember, Ireland. Ironically,
the late 1800's had left Ireland as explosive as the
battles he thought he left behind. He found his
country divided and at war with itself. He interacted
heavily with the newly formed Irish Republican Army,
and may have helped it through its infant years. But,
in 1890, he got word from America of the Native
American slaughter at Wounded Knee. His absence from
the battle is something he regrets to this day. After
a period of severe depression, Aidan retook his place
within Irish politics, driven to find some form of
freedom that would not fail him. However, in 1922
several of the IRA's leaders were caught and killed
by Irish officials. Aidan sought refuge from the
Venture and Toreador leaders who were hunting down
the groups Kindred allies, and he went into hiding.
For twenty years he traveled through the United
Kingdom searching for the education he never got in
his youth. He learned much in those twenty years,
about both Kine and Kindred history. He also
developed the skills of Auspex and Protean with the
aid of an wandering Scottish Gangrel who called
himself Augustulos. He managed to evade the conflicts
of the first World War, but he found the atrocities
of the Nazi's to much to ignore. He, Augustuos, and
an informal gang of Independant and Camarrilla
Kindred took it upon themselves to put an dent in the
German concentration camps. Aidan organized several
sucessful raids on camps, and as the war came to a
close Aidan finally felt as if he had done something.
His little group did not go unoticed, however. A
ranking Camarilla Brujah offered Aidan a position as
an Archon the the Brujah Justicar. The Elder
explained that Aidan's Kindred brethren needed his
passion to fight for their own freedom. Aidan decided
he needed to help his own kind for once, and accepted
the position. Aidan's mind had aged well; his
developed political tact, militant attitude, and
highly developed Potence skills made him a formidible
emmisary to the Brujah's "problems"
