The following is a History and profile of Gregor
the Monk, an Tzimisce Kindred who diablerized his way
to the sixth generation. First a few comments by
those who knew him, and then a chronicle of his
unlife by the Nosferatu Scholar Thialen.
Leopold, eldest Childe of Gregor (deceased):
In terror, Gregor was an expert. His knowledge of the
Path of Metamorphosis made him a formidible teacher
and fellow scientist. However, his obsession with
religion was foolish and unhealthy. His pathetic
faith in god was his sole flaw, and it is that flaw
that will lead him to his final death. Now, I have
work to do.
Brutus, Childe of Gregor (deceased):
Yeah, Gregor was tough, but he was a little to
concerned with spirituality for my taste. I guess
he's not as weak as he looks, but I could'a taken
him, well maybe.
Fredrick the disciple, Childe of Gregor
(deceased):
Gregor was indeed a holy holy man. He was truly a man
of God. If there was ever on of the undead who
understood what it was to be undead, it was he. He
sought the lords work in everything he did. He shall
surely bring the Lords Words to the Kindred, and His
Wrath to the Kine.
The Origin of Gregor the Monk is cloudy at best.
It may be that in his life Gregor was in fact a Monk,
but it is certain he was some sort of religious
Zealot. Whatever his ties to the "lord",
they were distorted greatly upon his infection with
the Tzimisce blood curse. And, like a Malkavian, his
mind is now sodden with insanity, and a very
dangerous insanity it is. He was likely embraced
somewhere within Eastern Europe somewhere near the
mid-fifteen hundreds. My sources tell me that he
gained the power of the Sixth Generation by taking
the blood of his sire, an eccentric Thaumatist called
Ramesh. Due to the hermetic nature of these Eastern
European Tzimisce, it is hard to tell when one
vanishes or dies.
He kept mainly to himself, keeping to his manse,
keeping the local villagers in check through the
normal blatant terror common of Tzimisce. However,
ultimately, we know next to nothing about him. So
little, in fact, that we cannot dismiss the rumor
that Gregor was not even a male until after learning
the Vissicitude skill. We do know a little about his
brood, and he embraced and trained three. Through
Camarilla altercations, however, they all perished.
So, let us see what we can derive about Gregor
through his Childer, i was of course a Psychiatrist
in my mortal life.
The first he chose to embrace was a German Slav
named Leopold Dobzanak. Leopold was a Surgeon and an
expert in the field of Comparative Anatomy, and had
interesting ideas about the human form, specifically
taking it apart. Leopold was eventually fired from
his position at a German Hopsital, and soon enough
took to making some of the local undesirables
disapear in the name of Science. Gregor was impressed
by Leopold's skill and utter lack of compassion
toward the Kine. Leopold was embraced and immediately
became familiar with the Tzimisce kind of research.
He never developed his talents in fleshcraft very
far, but his understanding of the human body easily
surpasses any mortal Doctor, and most of his
Tzimisce. Any man who can take apart a body so
efficeintly would make even a tough Kindred fear a
fight.
The Second beast Gregor took is was not quite so
eloquent as the last. I have little to say about
Brutus except that he found within Vicissitude all
that he wanted, strength beyond strength. Every
source that I contacted said that he spent his entire
unlife in a modified form of the Tzimisce Horrid
Form. He lived to his assumed name, and was no more
than a Brute.
The Third and final Childe Gregor took was an odd
one. He went by the name of The Disciple among
Tzimisce circles, but in his life he was Frederick
DeCoule. Gregor met him while on an excursion to
Eastern France. Frederick was something of a troubled
child. He was one of the unfortunate young Altar boys
to have been molested by his priest. The repeated
rapes and religious propaganda left Frederick a
broken child. He eventually lashed out and killed his
Priest, (God's Justice if you ask me) and escaped
into the streets. Gregor found the boy, and
apparently Gregor appealed to the boys broken
Spiritualitym and the boy was embraced. Frederick's
mind was not effected by the Tzimisce blood like
Leopold, but instead grew Zealous like Gregor, except
he found his outlet through the powers of
Thaumaturgy. He quickly surpassed his Sire's limited
knowledge of the art.
Gregor thought himself a man of the lord, and
conducts himself as such. He is a Fiend at heart, but
like many Tzimisce he would smile warmly just after
you realize he is killing you. He is as apt to quote
the New Testament as the Book of Nod. He is a
Tzimisce at heart, and despises Tremere and wants
nothing more than to see the entire Camarilla set out
to die. However. Gregor cares little for the world,
and his ultimate motive is his own salvation to
whatever god he follows. There is more on Gregor
within my chronicle of his altercation with the
Camarilla.
He apparently was driven, along with his brood
from his home by an Elder Brujah looking to expand
his realm. He was chased Westward, and no longer
hidden the Camarilla expelled him from Europe
completely. He was driven straight into the hands of
the American Sabbat. Gregor quickly allied himself
with the group, finding no reason not to. His
childer, eager to have their direct blood bonds
broken joined as well. The effects of the Sabbat
creation ritual seems to have made all of them the
more savage. Gregor took his expulsion very
personally and started a hunt on a local Brujah Elder
the Sabbat was kind enough to point him towards. He
and his brood, now a Sabbat pack slayed the Brujah
and made no bones about making sure everyone knew who
was responsible. The results of his actions are
another story entirely.
