Covington Catholic exploded for 35 points in the second quarter on their way to a 62-15 victory over Simon Kenton. Covington Catholic recorded 22 first downs and 469 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized five times for 50 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Simon Kenton recorded 14 first downs and 316 yards of total offense. The Pioneers were penalized three times for 46 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Cash Harney led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 158 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Dylan Gaiser carried the ball nine times for 52 yards and three touchdowns. Mac Cogswell recorded 61 yards and a touchdown on one carry. Logan Sanning carried the ball once for 22 yards and a touchdown. Cash Harney completed 11 of 18 passes for 154 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Dylan Gaiser completed his only pass for 22 yards. Gabe Weis caught on epass for 39n yards. Donovan Bradshaw added three receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Gaiser recorded three receptions for 22 yards. Mac Cogswell chipped in with one reception for 28 yards. Brandon Smith returned two kickoffs for 40 yards with a long return of 40 yards. Charlie Reeves returned one kickoff for 35 yards. Owen Pitzer led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles. Cash Myers added six solo and seven assisted tackles. Gabe Weis recorded four solo and three assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and scored on a 28 yard interception return. Charlie Reeves also recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Cash Harney and Johnny Lind also recovered fumbles. Brandon Smith chipped in with five solo tackles.

Landon Brown led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 60 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Caleb French carried the ball five times for 39 yards. Jordan Pendleton chipped in with 22 yards on four carries. Grant Webb completed 10 of 24 passes for 167 yards with two touchdowns. Grayson Harris caught five passes for 95 yards. Jordan Pendleton added three receptions for 54 yards. Samuel Hughes caught one pass for 27 yards. Moise Smith returned two kickoffs for 93 yards including an 89 yard return for a touchdown. Jordan Pendleton returned three kickoffs for 57 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Grayson Harris returned three kickoffs for 36 yards with a long return of 19 yards. Jordan Pendleto led the defense with three solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Jason Rabe added three solo tackles and intercepted a pass. B. Player also recovered a fumble.

The game was stopped at halftime with Corbin leading Bryan Station by the score of 7-0 because of weather conditions and will not resume. Corbin recorded seven first downs and 139 yards of total offense. The Redhounds were penalized four times for 21 yards and lost one fumble. Bryan Station recorded three first downs and 63 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized twice for eight yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Cole Stevens led Corbin’s ground game with 57 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Mason Salmons carried the ball seven times for 32 yards. Trey Person recorded 28 yards on six carries. Clay Akins chipped in with 22 yards on three carries. Corbin did not attempt any passes. Malachi Brown led the defense with three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Silas Mahan added two solo tackles and intercepted a pass. Zach Thomas recorded one solo and one assisted tackles. Bryson Hopkins recovered a fumble.

Coleson Carpenter led Bryan Station’s ground game with eight yards on two carries. Avery Johnson carried the ball four times for five yards. Kerwin Montgomery added five yards on three carries. Coleson Carpenter completed four of five passes for 45 yards with one interception. Kamani Barbour caught three passes for 39 yards. Braydne Payne added one reception for six yards. Kamani Barbour returned one punt for 25 yards. John Hannan punted twice for a 51.0 average with a long punt of 66 yards and had one punt inside the 20 yard line. South Oldham pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Tates Creek by the score of 41-24. South Oldham utilized a balanced offense (280 rushing and 186 yards passing) to earn the victory/ South Oldham recorded 22 first downs and 466 yards of total offense. The Dragons were penalized seven times for 55 yards and lost a fumble. Tates Creek recorded 15 first downs and 296 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized three times for 25 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Anthony Dixon led South Oldham’s ground game with 94 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Adrian Miles carried the ball 14 times for 70 yards and a touchdown. Kole Greenwell recorded 48 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. Juelz Davila carried the ball four times for 26 yards. Adrian Miles completed 11 of 14 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns. Charlie Temple caught three passes for 33 yards. Kolade Dada added two receptions for 57 yards and one touchdown. Anthony Dixon recorded two receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown. DuPont Manual defeated Frederick Douglass by the score of 28-21 in a game that started on Friday and ended on Saturday afternoon. The score was tied at 14 entering the third quarter on Friday them the weather delay caused the remainder of the game to be played Saturday. Manual took a 28-14 lead and weathered a late rally by the Broncos to earn the victory. DuPont Manual recorded 19 first down and 378 yards of total offense. The Crimsons were penalized nine times for 92 yards and lost a fumble. Frederick Douglass recorded 15 first downs and 272 yards of total offense. The Broncos had two passes intercepted.

Gerian Traynor led Manual’s ground game with 163 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Kaden Mack carried the ball 18 times for 64 yards and one touchdown. Kaden Mack completed 13 of 20 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown. Brayland Miles caught three passes for 39 yards and a touchdown. Noah Price caught three passes for 32 yards. Dahmarie Wilson recorded two receptions for 33 yards. Gerian Traynor chipped in with 20 yards on two carries. Brayland Miles returned two kickoffs for 41 yards with a long return of 21 yards. Dahmarie Wilson returned one kickoff for 14 yards. Jackson Pritts punted three times for a 45.7 average with a long punt of 46 yards with one punt inside the 20 yard line and kicked off five times with five touch backs. Hayden Winn led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles with one interception returned six yards. J. Stephens added four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards. He also intercepted a pass he returned 12 yards. Dahmarie Wilson recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.

Jeremiah Turner led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 24 yards on five carries. Demond Green carried the ball once for 24 yards. Kaden John added 15 yards on one carry. Dakari Talbert carried the ball 10 times for 19 yards with one touchdown. Jayden Guzman completed 14 of 32 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. Kane Pointer caught four passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Terry Cayson added three receptions for 53 yards. Dakari Talbert recorded three catches for 33 yards. DeAndre Clay had two catches for 24 yards. Thurman Wade led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Cionne Conn added six solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Toby Robinson recorded six solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Nelson Irakiza added five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.

Charlie Ellison threw a 76 yard touchdown pass to Timmy Emongo with 1:15 left in the game to give Scott County a 35-28 victory over Bowling Green. Scott County recorded 23 first downs and 515 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 82 yards and lost a fumble. Bowling Green recorded 23 first downs and 348 yards of total offense. The Purples were penalized three times for 35 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Skyler Way led the Scott County ground game with 111 yards on 16 carries. Timmy Emongo carried the ball 12 times for 77 yards and one touchdown. Nick Ranson recorded 76 yards on 12 carries. Jayden Garrett carried the ball three times for 43 yards and a touchdown. Red Owens chipped in with 26 yards on three carries. Charlie Ellison carried the ball four times for nine yards and one touchdown. Charlie Ellison completed four of seven passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. Christian Academy of Louisville dominated play tonight in a 47-7 victory over Lexington Christian Academy. CAL recorded 24 first downs and 491 yards of total offense. The Centurions were penalized four times for 49 yards and lost a fumble. LCA recorded nine first downs and 175 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized seven times for 40 yards and lost a fumble.

Tyree Stoner led CAL’s ground game with 63 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Jeffrey Vazzana carried the ball nine times for 50 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Burke completed 14 of 19 passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns. Brodie Pfeiffer completed 15 of 18 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Gaines Howard caught 10 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown. Ja’Hyde White added 10 receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Andrew Greene added three receptions for 33 yards. Micah Akin recorded three receptions for 28 yards. Noah Perkins caught a three yard touchdown pass. Ja’Hyde White and Gaines Howard each returned one kickoff for 15 and 12 yards respectively. Madden Miller kicked five extra points and kicked field goals of 24 and 27 yards. Jackson Settle led the defense with seven solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Micah Newsome added six solo tackles. Lonnie Hardin recorded four solo tackles. Chapman Russell chipped in with three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 10 yard loss. Jason Hilliard recovered a fumble he returned 13 yards.

Daven Hood led the LCA ground game with 15 yards on seven carries. Nash Whalen completed 10 of 20 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown. Tyler King caught five passes for 62 yards and a touchdown. John Simon Bert caught one pass for 29 yards. Conrad Hart added one reception for 36 yards. Tyler King returned five kickoffs for 93 yards with a long return of 29 yards. Same Pearson returned two kickoffs for 53 yards with a long return of 31 yards. Daven Hood led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Tyler King added five solo and one assisted tackles. Bennett Gudalis recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Aiden Lyons chipped in with three solo and two assisted tackles. Paul Laurence Dunbar earned their first victory of the season with a 27-21 victory over East Jessamine. The Bulldogs got a big night from QB Dominic Faulkner who passes for three touchdowns and ran for another score. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 15 first downs and 259 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized three times for 15 yards and had one pass intercepted. East Jessamine recorded 13 first downs and 300 yards of total offense. The Jaguars were penalized six times for 39 yards.

Jayshawn Crosby led Dunbar’s ground game with 57 yards on 17 carries. Mekhi McLeod carried the ball eight times for 32 yards. Dominic Faulkner recorded 22 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Dominic Faulkner completed eight of 12 passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Noah Barrett caught three passes for 61 yards and a touchdown. Jayshawn Crosby added two receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. Conner Norsworthy recorded two catches for 34 yards and a touchdown. Jaxon Leugers returned two kickoffs for 26 yards with a long return of 14 yards. Jacob Wright added one reception for 18 yards. Brady Cummins returned one punt for 22 yards. Preston Hibbard led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards. Highlands utilized a physical and balance offense and a stingy aggressive defense to defeat Cooper by the score of 28-14. Highlands recorded 26 first downs and 380 yards of total offense. The Bluebirds were penalized six times for 61 yards and lost one fumble. Cooper recorded 10 first downs and 199 yards of total offense. The Jaguars were penalized four times for 25 yards. Lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Tayden Lorenzen led Highland’s ground game with 90 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries. Gabe Williams carried the ball 12 times for 33 yards. Aidan Duncan recorded 33 yards on eight carries. Rio Litmer recorded 29 yards on seven carries. Rio Litmer completed 17 of 25 passes for 180 yards and one touchdown. Tayden Lorenzen completed his only pass for six yards. John Feldbrugge caught three passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. Gabe Williams added four receptions for 33 yards. Cale Harris recorded 28 yards on four carries. Ian Garrahan chipped in with two receptions for 18 yards. Ryan Dunn led the defense with one solo and five assisted tackles. Max Merz added three solo and one assisted tackles. Isaac Nieman and Cooper Benke each recorded two solo and one assisted tackles. Colt Kremer chipped in with two solo tackles. Gabe Williams recovered a fumble and Brady Carnohon intercepted a pass he returned 16 yards.

Boyle County defeated Lexington Christian Academy 28-21 in a thriller that went down to the wire. LCA trailed 21-0 at the half but mounted a furios rall to tie the score at 21-21 in the final quarter. Boyle County responded with a one yard touchdown run by Darryl Yancey and a conversion kick by Grant Klosterman to take a 28-21 lead with 1:48 left in the game. LCA drove the ball to the Boyle County 4 yard line coming up short on fourth down with less than 20 seconds left on the clock ensuring a Boyle County victory. Boyle County recorded 24 first downs and 4-8 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized six times for 62 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. LCA recorded 17 first downs and 286 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized four times for 50 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Jidyn Smith-Hisel led Boyle County’s ground game with 119 yards on 19 carries. Bubby McPherson carried the ball six times for 76 yards. Darryl Yancey recorded 38 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Kain Logan carried the ball twice for 33 yards. Baylor Murphy recorded 30 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Baylor Murphy completed 12 of 17 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Seneca Driver caught four passes for 24 yards. Kain Logan added two receptions for 52 yards. Jidyn Smith-Hisel recorded two receptions for 18 yards. Lucas Akers caught a 15 yard touchdown pass. Nathaniel Schepman returned two kickoffs for 41 yards with a long return of 22 yards. Jakeem Ray returned one kickoff for 23 yards. Bubby McPherson returned one kickoff for 19 yards. Lucas Young led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles. Darryl Yancey added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Bray Borders-Coffman recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Seneca Driver added three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 41 yards. Bubby McPherson recorded one solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 55 yard loss.

Nash Whalen led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 116 yards on 21 carries. Daven Hood carried the ball eight times for 51 yards and three touchdowns (This is a bit misleading because he had one carry for a -57 yards but a touchdown run of 90 yards, therefore his total yardage netted out to 51 yards).Nash Whalen completed 10 of 21 passes for 110 yards with one interception. Tyler King caught three passes for 54 yards. Sam Pearson added three receptions for 29 yards. Dean Hester punted four times for a 38.8 average and a long punt of 52 yards with three punts inside the 20 yard line. Tyler King and Sam Pearson each returned one kickoff for 25 and 24 yards respectively. Aiden Lyons led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles. Thomas Sizemore added five solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Bennett Gudalis recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Bode Darland added three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards. Daven Hood also recorded three solo and three assisted tackles. Jeremiah Burbage recovered a fumble and Tyler King intercepted a pass.

Pulaski County led 21-19 at halftime and pulled away in the second half to defeat Bryan Station 49-27. Pulaski County recorded 18 first downs and 443 yards of total offense. The Maroons were penalized four times for 22 yards. Bryan Station recorded 13 first downs and 316 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized five times for 34 yards and lost a fumble.

Kasen Brock led Pulaski County’s ground game with 141 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Kaden Carrier carried the ball 10 times for 42 yards and a touchdown. Winston Ford recorded 15 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Zak Anderson also ran for a touchdown. Zak Anderson completed 15 of 17 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns.
