Madison Central dropped their third straight game, this time by the score of 23-10 to Oldham County.  Madison Central was not able to generate enough offense or convert on third down to give their defense any rest tonight.  Oldham County QB Sam Young masterfully directed his offense throwing for three touchdowns and running for 52 yards.  Oldham County recorded 15 first downs and 303 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 52 yards.  Madison Central recorded 11 first downs and 181 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized four times for 28 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.

Sam Young led Oldham County’s ground game with 52 yards on 12 carries.  Tate Crowell added 46 yards on 17 carries.  Sam Young completed 14 of 24 passes for 157 yards and three touchdowns.  Grayson Huff caught five passes for 62 yards and one touchdown.  Jaxon Elkins added three receptions for 41 yards and two touchdowns.  Ethan Elkins recorded two receptions for 33 yards.  Jaylin McRoberts returned two kickoffs for 39 yards with a long return of 24 yards.  Jalen Stratton led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles.  Dustin Keown added five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his losses totaling two yards and recovered a fumble.  Thomas Dempley recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss and intercepted a pass.

Nathan Storie led Madison Central’s ground game with 59 yards on eight carries.  Nathan Storie completed seven of 11 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Canon Scenters was zero for six in passes attempted.  John Landsaw caught two passes for 40 yards.  Zach Holbrook added two receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.  Elijah Carter had an excellent game on the defensive line and led the defense with nine solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Edgren Sweat added three solo and eight assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Noah Shipley recorded one solo and six assisted tackles.

Scott County improves to 5-0 with a 62-14 victory over Grant County.  Scott County recorded 20 first downs and 427 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 40 yards and lost a fumble.  Grant County recorded 14 first downs and 357 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 30 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Campton Martin led the Scott County ground game with 83 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.  Luke Colvin carried the ball eight times for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Zane Patton recorded 44 yards on two carries.  Jackson Albensi chipped in with 42 yards and one touchdown on three carries.  Jeremy Hamilton carried the ball three times for 30 yards and two touchdowns.  Hayden Jones carried the ball six times for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Zane Patton completed three of six passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Paul Garner caught two passes for 69 yards and a touchdown.  Elijah Adams and Waylon Way led the defense as each recorded four solo and four assisted tackles.  Cayden Marshall added four solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Jeremy Hamilton recorded three solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned 44 yards for a touchdown.  AJ Young intercepted a pass he returned 17 yards.

Logan Sutherland led Grant County’s ground game with 180 yards on 35 carries.  Connor Knipp scored two touchdowns on one yard runs.  Connor Knipp completed five of 20 passes for 128 yards with two interceptions.  Carson Bick caught one pass for 51 yards.  Nikolas Dionne added one reception for 50 yards.  Chandler Haney returned four kickoffs for 60 yards with a long return of 32 yards.  Colby Faulkner led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Carson Bick added three solo and one assisted tackles.

Jake Smith threw for five touchdowns to lead Paul Laurence Dunbar to a 42-0 victory over Tates Creek.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 18 first downs and 529 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized six times for 48 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Tates Creek recorded seven first downs and 127 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized five times for 38 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Kamarion Robinson led Dunbar’s ground game with 71 yards on 13 carries.  Frank Illunga carried the ball four times for 42 yards.  Mario Paul added 35 yards and one touchdown on three carries.  Jake Smith completed 11 of 24 passes for 361 yards and five touchdowns with one interception.  Oumar Toure caught four passes for 73 yards and a touchdown.  Frank Illunga added three receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown.  Howard Jackson recorded two receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown.  Luke Olive caught two passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns.  Mason Hayslett led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Connor Smith added four solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Brent Angel recorded two solo and five assisted tackles.  Camry Dryden added three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.  Howard Jackson added one solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 27 yards.  Wes Holloman intercepted a pass he returned five yards.

M. Smith led Tates Creek’s ground game with 34 yards on eight carries.  Matthew Underwood carried the ball eight times for 20 yards.  Andrew Witherington completed seven of 13 passes for 61 yards with two interceptions.  Aaron Klein completed four of nine passes for 26 yards.  Ke’Shon Douthitt caught three passes for 35 yards.  Trepeon Broadus added two receptions for 22 yards.  M. Smith returned two kickoffs for 61 yards including a long return of 31 yards.  Logan Julian led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Jalen English added three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.  JT Acosta recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Josue Araniva intercepted a pass he returned six yards.

Boyle County dominated play tonight in a 40-0 victory over Lexington Catholic.  One of the key statistics tonight was Lexington Catholic was 0-3 in red zone opportunities while Boyle County was 6-7.  Lexington Catholic also was plagued by turnovers as they had three interceptions that stalled drives.  Boyle County recorded 19 first downs and 334 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized four times for 35 yards, and lost a fumble.  Lexington Catholic recorded four first downs and 155 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized eight times for 139 yards, and had three passes intercepted.

Will McDaniel led the Boyle County ground game with 119 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.  Jagger Gillis carried the ball 15 times for 66 yards and three touchdowns.  Jagger Gillis completed 12 of 23 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.  Cole Lanter caught six passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Eli Glasscock added three receptions for 33 yards.  Luke Sheperson caught two passes for 34 yards.  Jackson Smith punted twice for a 53.5 average with a long kick of 65 yards with one punt inside the 20 yard line.  Cole Lanter returned three punts for 29 yards.  Luke Sheperson returned one kickoff for 23 yards.  Coleman Clark led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards.  Luke Sheperson added four solo tackles.  Dalton Stone added three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 40 yards.  Cash Logan intercepted two passes with return yardage of 26 yards.

Jack Gohmann led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 54 yards on six carries.  Jack Gohmann completed 13 of 32 passes for 98 yards with three interceptions.  Jackson Corbett caught four passes for 23 yards.  Blake Busson added three receptions for 41 yards.  JD Woodall returned two kickoffs for 107 yards including an 83 yard return.  Jackson Corbett returned three kickoffs for 45 yards including a return of 23 yards.  Jack Malley led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles.  Jack Powell added seven solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Pearce Hall recorded three solo and five assisted tackles.  Jack Simms added four solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Houston Baptist University defeated Eastern Kentucky University by the score of 33-30.  EKU trailed 31-17 after three quarters but EKU mounted a furious rally in the final quarter to pull within one; 31-30 on a 27 yard pass from Parker McKinney to Keyion Dixon with 4:04 left on the clock.  However Alexander Woznick’s conversion kick was blocked and returned for a two point score by Tra Fluellen.  EKU got one more chance for the win but HBU recovered a fumble near midfield to end the rally.  HBU recorded 24 first downs and 520 yards of total offense.  The Huskies were penalized 12 times for 137 yards.  EKU recorded 26 first downs and 480 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized eight times for 60 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

D. Minnieweather led HBU’s ground game with 38 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  LaDarius Turner carried the ball three times for 37 yards.  Bailey Zappe added 22 yards on three carries.  Bailey Zappe completed 35 of 46 passes for 380 yards and three touchdowns.  Vernon Harrell caught 10 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown.  Jerreth Sterns added 10 receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown.  Ben Ratzlaff recorded six receptions for 49 yards.  Josh Sterns added four receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown.  Jerreth Sterns returned two punts for 16 yards with a long return of 12 yards.  Ean Beek returned four kickoffs for 91 yards with a long return of 28 yards.  Blake Patterson punted five times for a 41.8 average with a long punt of 55 yards with two punts inside the 20 yard line.  Blake Patterson kicked off six times for a 65.0 average and six touchbacks.  Caleb Johnson led the defense with five solo and eight assisted tackles.  Phillip Ossai added six solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Patrick Wolfe recorded four solo and five assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass he returned 21 yards.  Tra Fluellen added three solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 38 yards.

Alonzo Booth led the EKU ground game with 108 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Parker McKinney added 59 yards on 12 carries.  Parker McKinney completed 25 of 40 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Jacquez Jones caught seven passes for 54 yards.  Keyion Dixon added six receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown.  Jackson Beerman recorded six receptions for 84 yards.  Matt Wilcox Jr. caught four passes for 27 yards and two touchdowns.  Matthew Jackson led the defense with 11 solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Joseph Sayles added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Allante Leapheart recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.  Kabbash Richards added two solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.

Russell defeated Simon Kenton 32-31 in overtime.  Simon Kenton scored on a five yard touchdown pass from Chase Crone to Trey Little and Nick Seger kicked the extra point in the closing seconds to tie the score at 24-24 and force overtime.  Simon Kenton went on offense first and scored on a Jayden Lawson 10 yard run and Seger added the extra point to take a 31-24 lead.  Russell answered with a Nathan Conley five yard run.  Russell made the decision to go for the win and Charlie Jachimczuk found Ethan Oborne for the winning conversion pass and a 32-31 victory.  Russell recorded 18 first downs and 376 yards of total offense.  The Red Devils were penalized twice for 10 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Simon Kenton recorded 19 first downs and 259 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized three times for 20 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Nathan Conley led Russell’s ground attack with 95 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.  Charlie Jachimczuk carried the ball 10 times for 34 yards and a touchdown.  Charlie Jachimczuk completed nine of 19 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Mason Lykins caught three passes for 77 yards.  Doug Oborne caught one pass for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Nathan Conley recorded three receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown.  Andrew Crews returned one kickoff for 30 yards.  Nathan Conley and Mason Lykins each intercepted a pass.

Jayden Lawson led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 97 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.  Chase Crone carried the ball 10 times for 56 yards and one touchdown.  Chase Crone completed 15 of 31 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Trey Little caught six passes for 44 yards and a touchdown.  Marcus Courtney added three receptions for 22 yards.  Zeb Sand returned two kickoffs for 85 yards.  Josh Bowling led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Daniel Fagan added four solo and five assisted tackles.  Landon Meyer intercepted a pass.

Paducah Tilghman pulled away late to defeat Murray by the score of 31-21.  The score was tied 21-21 with less than a minute left in the third quarter.  Paducah Tilghman scored on a three yard run by Malachi Rider with four seconds remaining in the third quarter and Shelby Nickal added the conversion kick to give the Blue Tornado a 28-21 lead.  Nickal added a 21 yard field goal in the final quarter to close out the scoring.  Paducah Tilghman recorded 11 first downs and 269 yards of total offense.  The Blue Tornado were penalized 13 times for 115 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Murray recorded 20 first downs and 228 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized five times for 35 yards, lost two fumbles and had four passes intercepted.

LeBran McMullen led Paducah Tilghman’s ground game with 26 yards on three carries.  Jack James completed 15 of 28 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Brian Thomas caught seven passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns.  Camdon Marshall added four receptions for 63 yards.  Malachi Rider returned three kickoffs for 101 yards including an 80 yard touchdown return.  Seth Slayton led the defense with four solo and 10 assisted tackles.  Camdon Marshall and Brian Thomas each recorded four solo and five assisted tackles.  Jarmorie Sabbs, Turner Humphrey, Brian Thomas, and Jordauyn White each intercepted a pass.

Brendan Dahncke led Murray’s ground game with 81 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Rowdy Sokolowski carried the ball 13 times for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Charvelle McCallister recorded 54 yards on 18 carries.  Rowdy Sokolowski completed four of 12 passes for 35 yards and a touchdown with four interceptions.  Andrew Orr caught one pass for 19 yards.  Devin Lee caught one pass for eight yards.  Ashkahn Nabavi caught a seven yard touchdown pass.  Sebastian Lawrence returned two kickoffs for 40 yards.  Devin Lee led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Dire Dougherty added seven solo tackles.  Andrew Orr recorded five solo and two assisted tackles.  Brendan Dahncke intercepted a pass.

Covington Catholic defeated Boone County by the score of 45-7.  Covington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 310 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized twice for 16 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  Boone County recorded 12 first downs and 151 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized six times for 95 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Owen Nally led the Covington Catholic ground game with 50 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Reid Hummel carried the ball once for 34 yards.  Dennis Lenihan added 23 yards on one carry.  Isaiah Roedig carried the ball once for 10 yards and a touchdown.  Caleb Jacob completed 13 of 20 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Garrett Benke caught four passes for 63 yards.  Isaiah Roedig added two receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown.  Ethan Reardon added two receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Robby Sandfoss returned one kickoff for 27 yards.  Ben Dickhaus led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Aiden Jones added eight solo tackles.  Ryan Schneider intercepted a pass he returned 80 yards for a touchdown.

Bryan Station trailed 10-7 late in the game but Damin Green scored on an 18 yard pass from Mikaleb Coffey and Xavier Hale kicked the extra point with 1:31 left in the game to take a 14-10 lead.  Dadrien Taylor scored on a 30 yard interception return with 0:37 left in the game to give the Defenders a 20-10 lead and ensure the victory.  Bryan Station recorded 18 first downs and 321 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized five times for 45 yards and lost a fumble.  Henry Clay recorded 12 first downs and 170 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized twice for 16 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.

Amodeus Taylor led Bryan Station’s ground attack with 118 yards on 19 carries.  Joseph Bond carried the ball six times for 31 yards.  Mikaleb Coffey added 21 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Terik Mulder completed 11 of 18 passes for 121 yards.  Mikaleb Coffey completed five of five passes for 56 yards and a touchdown.  AhTraivon Jenkins caught six passes for 71 yards.  Carl Mundford added five receptions for 55 yards.  Damin Green caught one pass for 18 yards and a touchdown.  AhTraivon Jenkins returned one kickoff for 41 yards.  Yedide Yah Sledge led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles.  Jason Hocker added six solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards and recovered a fumble.  Dadrien Taylor scored on a 30 yard interception return.

William Webb led Henry Clay’s ground game with 62 yards on 13 carries.  Khalil Thompson carried the ball 12 times for 28 yards.  Blake VanHorn completed seven of 16 passes for 79 yards with one interception.  Darik Holman caught two passes for 25 yards.  Maddox Smith added two receptions for 17 yards.  Kasen Parks caught one pass for 20 yards.  Kasen Parks returned two kickoffs for 24 yards with a long return of 21 yards.  Andrew Asalon returned one kickoff for 21 yards.  Darik Holman led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles.  William Webb added two solo and eight assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Christian Barrentine recorded three solo and five assisted tackles.
