Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton started the following lineup: 6-8 So. Tre King, 6-4 So. Houston King, 6-8 Jr. Darius Hicks, 6-2 So. Jomaru Brown, and 6-3 Sr. Ty Taylor.  University of Kentucky coach John Calipari countered with 6-9 GS Nate Sestina, 6-6 Fr. Kahlil Whitney, 6-11 Jr. Nick Richards, 6-3 So. Ashton Hagans, and 6-3 So. Immanuel Quickley.

 

University of Kentucky raced out to a 46-25 halftime lead on their way to a 91-49 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Kentucky shot 54.8% from the field including two of 14 from the three point line.  The Wildcats connected on 21 of 32 free throws, pulled down 54 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 21 EKU turnovers.  EKU shot 25% from the field including eight of 33 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Kentucky turnovers.

 

Nick Richards led Kentucky with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Richards was 10 of 11 from the field and one of two from the free throw line.  Immanuel Quickley added 16 points and five assists.  Nate Sestina recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Ashton Hagans added 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  6-7 Fr. Keion Brooks Jr. recorded 11 points and eight rebounds.  Kahlil Whitney chipped in with 11 points.

 

6-7 Fr. Michael Moreno led EKU with 14 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds.  Ty Taylor added nine points including two three point baskets.  6-2 Jr. Jacquess Hobbs recorded six points, seven rebounds, and five assists.  Tre King added six points and four rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky University took a 3114 lead early in the third quarter but Southeast Missouri stormed back to earn a 38-31 victory.  Southeast Missouri took the lead with 37 seconds left in the game on a Zion Custis 12 yard run and a conversion kick by Kendrick Tiller.  Eastern Kentucky drove to the Southeast Missouri 38 yard line in the closing seconds but a last effort pass to the end zone was intercepted.  SEMO recorded 22 first downs and 466 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 42 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  EKU recorded 17 first downs and 322 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized eight times for 64 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Zion Custis led SEMO’s ground game with 83 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.  Geno Hess carried the ball 10 times for 40 yards.  Zack Smith carried the ball once for 29 yards.  Daniel Santacaterina completed 17 of 27 passes for 295 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  K. Wilkerson caught 10 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns.  Zack Smith added three receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown.  Zion Custis returned three kickoffs for 61 yards with a long return of 36 yards.  Zach Hall led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Justin Swift added four solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Mike Matthews recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  B. Knighten and Shabari Davis each intercepted a pass.

Daryl McCleskey led EKU’s ground game with 75 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.  Parker McKinney carried the ball 12 times for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Alonzo Booth recorded 25 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Parker McKinney completed 13 of 28 passes for 167 yards with two interceptions.  Daryl McCleskey caught four passes for 21 yards.  Jerome Gross added three receptions for 47 yards.  Matt Wilcox Jr. chipped in with three receptions for 25 yards.  Jaelin Carter caught one pass for 29 yards and Ethan Bradds added one catch for 27 yards.  Steven Crowder led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Aaron Patrick added five solo and two assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Ben Bascom recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Corey Glass also recorded four solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Tre Turner also recovered a fumble and A. Leapheart and Josh Hayes each intercepted a pass.

Murray got a bit of redemption as they defeated Caldwell County 34-17 to avenge a two point loss in the regular season.  Caldwell County took a 10-0 lead but Murray rallied to lead 14-10 at halftime. Murray had lost their starting QB Hunter Utley and WR Jaiden Jackson late in the year for the season which made this turn-around-victory surprising to many.  Murray recorded 18 first downs and 400 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized 11 times for 95 yards.  Caldwell County recorded 14 first downs and 348 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized eight times for 85 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Charvelle McCallister led Murray’s ground arrack with 63 yards on 17 carries.  Sebastian Lawrence carried the ball six times for 46 yards and a touchdown.  Rowdy Sokolowski completed 20 of 29 passes for 288 yards and four touchdowns.  Tommy Waldrop caught 13 passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns.  Jorden Duffy added five receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown.  Brendan Dahncke returned two kickoffs for 42 yards.  Tommy Waldrop led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Jorden Duffy added four solo tackles.  Sebastian Lawrence recorded two solo and two assisted tackles.

DeEric Hollowell led Caldwell County’s ground game with 101 yards on 23 carries.  Russ Beshear carried the ball 10 times for 52 yards.  Russ Beshear completed 12 of 23 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Tripp Branch caught four passes for 111 yards and one touchdown.  Tate VanHooser added three recptions for 35 yards.  Barren Wells recorded two receptions for 28 yards.  DeEric Hollowell caught three passes for 22 yards and a touchdown.  Barren Wells returned four kickoffs for 50 yards.  DeEric Hollowell returned one kickoff for 21 yards.  Ben Holt led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles.  Tate VanHooser added three solo and three assisted tackles.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Washington County by a score of 43-14.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 28 first downs and 488 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized five times for 40 yards and lost a fumble.  Washington County recorded 13 first downs and 246 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 15 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Jayden Barnhardt led LCA’s ground game with 95 yards on nine carries.  Thomas White added 61 yards on 12 carries.  Will Vernon carried the ball once for 50 yards and a touchdown.  Xavier Brown chipped in with 38 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Jeffrey Selby carried the ball six times for 33 yards.  Jayden Barnhardt completed 15 of 23 passes for 186 yards and four touchdowns.  Dearious Smith caught 10 passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns.  Will Vernon added five receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.  Will Vernon led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Mattie Lebryk added two solo and four assisted tackles.  Neal Dickey recorded one solo and five assisted tackles.  Elijah Hammond added two solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in lost yardage.

Covington Catholic defeated Cooper by a score of 41-6.  Covington Catholic recorded 11 first downs and 198 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized once for 15 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Cooper recorded 12 first downs and 157 yards of total offense.  The Jaguars were penalized once for 16 yards, lost a fumble, and had five passes intercepted.

Daniel Felix led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 26 yards on four carries.  Owen Nally carried the ball three times for 22 yards.  Michael Boydston, Michael Mayer, and Caleb Jacob scored on touchdown runs of 6, 2, and 1 yard respectively.  Caleb Jacob completed seven of eight passes for 112 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Ethan Reardon caught three passes for 57 yards.  Michael Mayer added one reception for 40 yards.  Andy Molique recorded one reception for 20 yards and a touchdown.  Michael Mayer led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards.  Carter Martin added four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Ryan Schneider recorded four solo tackles.  David Brunson intercepted two passes with return yardage of 84 yards including a 65 yard return for a touchdown.  Andy Molique also intercepted two passes with 33 yards of return yardage including a 33 yard interception return.  Noah Powers also intercepted a pass.

Anthony Witsche led Cooper’s ground game with 70 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  Drew Warth completed nine of 22 passes for 114 yards with five interceptions.  Eli Schreckenhofer caught three passes for 36 yards.  Zion Mason added three receptions for 28 yards.  Jeremiah Lee returned three kickoffs for 65 yards with a long return of 32 yards.  Bryan Yelton led the defense with six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Anthony Witschey added four solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 20 yards.  Tyron Chipwelon recorded four solo tackles.  Joe Poage recovered a fumble.

Scott County defeated Montgomery County by a score of 43-8.  Scott County recorded 17 first downs and 379 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were not penalized and did not have any turnovers.  Montgomery County recorded 13 first downs and 231 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized once for five yards and had one pass intercepted.

Bronson Brown led Scott County’s ground game with 105 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.  Bryson Gibson carried the ball six times for 71 yards and a touchdown.  Phillip Garner recorded 48 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Jaxson Saylor carried the ball twice for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Cade McKee completed two of three passes for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Micah McClave caught one pass for 29 yards and a touchdown.  McCaleb Coffee added one reception for 28 yards.  John Hulette led the defense with six solo and nine assisted tackles.  Austin Taylor added three solo and four assisted tackles.  Campton Martin recorded three solo tackles and intercepted a pass.

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 43-7 halftime lead on their way to a 43-23 victory over Bourbon County.  Lexington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 308 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 36 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Bourbon County recorded nine first downs and 311 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized four times for 45 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Beau Allen led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 93 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Ryan Nichols carried the ball seven times for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Jackson Corbett added six yards and a touchdown on one carries.  Beau Allen completed 10 of 12 passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns.  Dylan Bracken caught four passes for 66 yards.  Blake Busson added three receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Jack Monday and Jackson Corbett caught touchdown passes of one and six yards respectively.  M. Eldridge returned one kickoff for 30 yards.  Phillipe Irumva led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles.  Kiwanga Mafuta added two solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Harrison Romero and Jack Malley each intercepted a pass.  Pearce Hall recovered a fumble he returned 79 yards.

Nakwan Joyce led Bourbon County’s ground game with 85 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Justin Blankenship carried the ball four times for 77 yards and a touchdown.  Amiron Joyce carried the ball once for 72 yards.  Cameron Smoot also scored on a three yard run.  Clay Estes completed six of 13 passes for 93 yards with two interceptions.  Amiron Joyce caught six passes for 103 yards.  Kaygen Heflin returned two passes for 57 yards with a long return of 42 yards.  Amirion Joyce returned two kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 29 yards.  Braxton Caudill led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Amirion  Joyce and Kord. Boyle County improves to 11-0 with a dominating 64-14 victory over Anderson County tonight.  Boyle County recorded 13 first downs and 349 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized three times for 23 yards and lost a fumble.  Anderson County recorded seven first downs and 92 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized four times for 36 yards.

Andrew Sacco led Boyle County’s ground game with 73 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.  Jacob Graves carried the ball four times for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Landen Bartleson recorded 25 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Reed Lanter completed seven of 10 passes for 152 yards and three touchdowns.  Reiley Colwick completed his only pass for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Cole Lanter caught three passes for 32 yards.  Reiley Colwick added two receptions for 45 yards and two touchdowns.  Landen Bartleson recorded one reception for 46 yards.  Luke Sheperson added a 45 yard touchdown reception.  Reiley Colwick returned four punts for 24 yards with a long return of 15 yards.  Coleman Clark returned a kickoff for 48 yards and a touchdown.  Ezarious Roller led the defense with five solo tackles.  Coleman Clark also recorded five solo tackles.  Hayden Bottoms added two solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Wilson Kelly added two solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards.  Andrew Sacco chipped in with one solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Isaac Hardwick chipped in with one solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss.

George Rogers Clark raced out to an early 21-0 lead but had to survive a frantic rally by Madison Central to earn a 35-20 victory.  Madison Central pulled within one point; 21-20 in the third quarter but their chances for a victory was diminished by a bad snap over the quarterback’s head which resulted in a big loss and two major penalties which ended promising drives.  George Rogers Clark recorded 19 first downs and 399 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized four times for 37 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Madison Central recorded 14 first downs and 216 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized nine times for 94 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Azariah Israel led George Rogers Clark’s ground game with 131 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.  Jordan Manley carried the ball four times for 27 yards.  Jordan Manley completed 12 of 24 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Dawson Gay caught six passes for 126 yards and a touchdown.  Dylan Gibson added three receptions for 79 yards and two touchdowns.  Azariah Israel returned one kickoff for 36 yards.  Aquevion Lewis led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss and intercepted a pass.  Jeremy Clem added five solo and six assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Sam Neely recorded six solo and two assisted tackles.  Quandre Okolo added four solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Colby Ritchie recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards and Tye Boyken intercepted a pass.

Adrien Parks led Madison Central’s ground game with 27 yards on nine carries.  Joe Burton carried the ball 12 times for 22 yards.  Nate Storie completed 11 of 20 passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Ashton Hulberg caught five passes for 66 yards and a touchdown.  John Landsaw added three receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Ashton Hulberg returned five kickoffs from his up back position for 59 yards with a long return of 17 yards.  Kris Olinger led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles.  Sawyer Cruse added three solo and three assisted tackles.  Trey Parks recorded two solo and four assisted tackles.  Nate Storie intercepted a pass and Kyran Jackson recovered a fumble.
