Harrison County coach Kimberly Marshall started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Sydney Morris, 5-9 Jr. Katelin Ecklar, 5-11 Sr. Kaylee Clements, 5-3 Fr. Gabrielle Hatterick, and 5-8 Sr. Madison Kellione.  Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-8 Fr. Chloe Treece, 5-7 So. Farah Weldon, 5-8 Sr. Maylo Given, 5-5 Sr. Catey Nash, and 5-5 Fr. Hannah Carlisle.

 

Harrison County defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 43-39.  Harrison County shot 32.1% from the field including one of 11 from the three point line.  The Fillies connected on eight of 16 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 26 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 30% from the field including one of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored seven points off 17 Harrison County turnovers.

 

Sydney Morris led Harrison County with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals.  Madison Kellione added 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

 

Chloe Treece led Lexington Catholic with 15 points and four rebounds.  5-8 Sr. Jay Ballard added seven points and three rebounds.  5-8 So. Ariel West recorded six points and six rebounds.  Farah Weldon recorded four points, eight rebounds, and four steals.

Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-7 Jr. Taleya Todd, 5-9 Sr. Logan Hudson, 5-5 Sr. Kelsey Powell, and 5-5 Sr. Madison Barnard.  Lincoln County coach Cassandra McWhorter countered with 5-11 Sr. Emma King, 5-10 Sr. Zaria Napier, 6-0 Sr. Kaitlynn Wilks, 5-6 Sr. Maddy Boyle, and 5-10 Jr. Trinity Shearer.

 

Lincoln County scored 48 points off 23 Madison Central turnovers, recorded 21 steals and seven blocked shots in a 103-32 rout of Madison Central.  Lincoln County shot a sizzling 63.6% from the field including 12 of 23 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and held a 26-3 advantage in bench scoring.  None of Lincoln County’s starters logged more than 18 minutes.  Madison Central shot 26% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on four of 15 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored five points off eight Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Emma King led Lincoln County with 27 points including five three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Maddy Boyle added 16 points, seven assists, and three steals.  Kaitlynn Wilks recorded 13 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Zaria Napier chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and five steals.  Trinity Shearer added 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five blocked shots.  Haleigh Releford scored 10 points in eight minutes including two three point baskets.

 

Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 12 points and two rebounds.  Taleya Todd added six points and four rebounds.  Madison Barnard recorded five points and three rebounds.  Kelsey Powell added four points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Logan Hudson pulled down eight rebounds.

Southwestern outscored Clay County 22-9 in the second quarter on their way to a 71-56 victory.  Southwestern shot 49.1% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Warriors connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.  Clay County shot 48.6% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on 20 0f 26 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.

 

5-11 Jr. Regi Cundiff led Southwestern with 22 points and 11 rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Kennedy Harris added 17 points including three three point baskets.  5-9 Fr. Kylie Foreman recorded 11 points and six rebounds.

George Rogers Clark outscored Scott 20-11 in the third quarter on their way to a 62-53.  GRC utilized a strong defensive effort tonight holding 5-10 So. star Mya Meredith to seven points.  George Rogers Clark shot 44.9% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 14 of 22 free throws, and pulled down 32 rebounds.  Scott shot 54.5% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on 13 of 19 free throws and pulled down 35 rebounds.  GRC was without the services of 5-9 Sr. Jasmine Flowers who was out ill.

 

5-7 Jr. Kennedy Igo led GRC with 18 points.  5-10 Sr. Hayley Harrison added 15 points and 5-10 Sr. Maleaha Bell recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds. 

 

5-7 Sr. Summer Secrist led Scott with 18 points including two three point baskets and pulled down 10 rebounds.  5-9 So. Sofia Allen added 16 points including two three point baskets and pulled down nine rebounds.  It was reported that both Hayley Harrison and Mya Meredith were both ejected in the second half.  It was also reported by several viewers that in their opinion that the incident did not warrant a double ejection.

Lincoln County defeated South Laurel by a score of 94-81.  Lincoln County shot 54% from the field including five of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 15 of 19 free throws and pulled down 37 rebounds.  Emma King became the top scorer in Lincoln County girl’s basketball and her career point total is now 2035 points.  South Laurel shot 38% from the field and connected on 11 three point baskets and connected on 14 of 20 free throws.

 

5-11 Sr. Emma King led Lincoln County with 32 points including three three point baskets, 11 of 11 free throws, and pulled down 12 rebounds.  6-0 Sr. Kaitlyn Wilks added 23 points and nine rebounds.  5-6 Sr. Maddy Boyle recorded 18 points 5-10 Jr. Trinity Shearer chipped in with 16 points.

Butler coach Larry Just started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Ashley Wright, 5-7 So. Dynastee White, 5-10 So. Tiarra East, 5-6 Sr. Jaida Wiggins, and 5-5 Sr. Skylar Thomas.  Male coach Champ Ligon countered with 6-0 Sr. Joelle Johnson, 5-9 So. Alana Striverson, 6-1 Sr. Cameron Browning, 5-6 Fr. Kynidi Striverson, and 5-7 Sr. Destiny Combs.

 

Cameron Browning connected on two free throws with 11.7 seconds remaining on the clock to give Male a 46-45 victory over Butler.  Butler had one last chance but turned the ball over.  The victorious Lady Bulldogs finished the game on a 14-0 run.  Butler actually had a 28-3 run in this game and led 45-32 midway through the final quarter.  There were four lead changes and four ties in this game. 

 

Male shot 33.3% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 19 Butler turnovers.  Butler shot 48.7% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Bearettes connected on 26 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Male turnovers.

 

Cameron Browning led Male with 14 points including six of seven free throws and 17 rebounds.  Joelle Johnson added 13 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four steals.  Alana Striverson chipped in with eight points.
