Franklin County defeated Casey County by a score of 53-47.  Franklin County shot 40.8% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 11 of 21 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and committed 12 turnovers.  Casey County shot 26.7% from the field including eight of 29 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rebels connected on 10 of 11 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and committed six turnovers.

 

5-10 Fr, Patience Laster led Franklin County with 19 points, 18 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Laster was eight of 11 from the field and three of six from the free throw line.  5-6 So. Brooklynn Miles added 15 points and five rebounds.  5-6 Sr. Jasmine Simpson recorded nine points and eight rebounds.

 

5-6 Jr. Gena Cravens led Casey County with 16 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Natalie Duggins added 15 points and 10 rebounds.  5-6 Jr. Jordyn Stephens recorded 10 points and four rebounds.

Collins coach Sean Pigman started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Jeian Hayes, 5-7 Jr. Gracie Reed, 5-10 Jr. Olivia Federle, 5-5 So. Lizzie Hammond, and 5-6 So. Hayley Renfro.  (6-2 Sr. Mary-Clare Megibben did not play tonight).  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-11 Fr. Anaya Brown, 5-10 Sr. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-11 Sr. Macey Goff, 5-7 Fr. Olivia Cathers, and 5-7 Fr. Lauren Walton.

 

Lafayette raced out to a 30-7 first quarter lead on their way to a 69-55 victory over Collins.  Lafayette shot 50% from the field including two of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 11 of 21 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 26 Collins turnovers.  Collins shot 42.9% from the field including five of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Titans connected on eight of 19 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 23 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Lindi DeBilzan led Lafayette with 28 points including seven of eight free throws, five rebounds, eight assists, and five steals.  Anaya Brown added 15 points and 11 rebounds.  Macey Goff recorded 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Olivia Cathers chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.

 

Olivia Federle led Collins with 26 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Jeian Hayes added 13 points and four steals.  Haylee Renfro recorded nine points including two three point baskets.

Grant County defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 46-43.  The score was tied three times and there were three lead changes tonight.  Grant County shot 46.7% from the field including zero of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Braves connected on four of 12 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 22 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 40.5% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Grant County turnovers.

 

Alecea Horner led Grant County with 14 points, three assists, and three steals.  Abby West added 13 points, four rebounds, six assists, and six steals.  5-6 Sr. Bryann Ezell recorded 11 points.

 

Chloe Treece led Lexington Catholic with 15 points.  Ariel West added six points, six rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.  Maylo Given recorded five points, eight rebounds, three assists, and five steals.

Sydney Morris led Harrison County with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals.  Madison Kellione added 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-7 Jr. Taleya Todd, 5-9 Sr. Logan Hudson, 5-5 Sr. Kelsey Powell, and 5-5 Sr. Madison Barnard.  Lincoln County coach Cassandra McWhorter countered with 5-11 Sr. Emma King, 5-10 Sr. Zaria Napier, 6-0 Sr. Kaitlynn Wilks, 5-6 Sr. Maddy Boyle, and 5-10 Jr. Trinity Shearer.

 

Lincoln County scored 48 points off 23 Madison Central turnovers, recorded 21 steals and seven blocked shots in a 103-32 rout of Madison Central.  Lincoln County shot a sizzling 63.6% from the field including 12 of 23 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and held a 26-3 advantage in bench scoring.  None of Lincoln County’s starters logged more than 18 minutes.  Madison Central shot 26% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on four of 15 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored five points off eight Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Emma King led Lincoln County with 27 points including five three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Maddy Boyle added 16 points, seven assists, and three steals.  Kaitlynn Wilks recorded 13 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Zaria Napier chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and five steals.  Trinity Shearer added 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five blocked shots.  Haleigh Releford scored 10 points in eight minutes including two three point baskets.

 

Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 12 points and two rebounds.  Taleya Todd added six points and four rebounds.  Madison Barnard recorded five points and three rebounds.  Kelsey Powell added four points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Logan Hudson pulled down eight rebounds.

Southwestern outscored Clay County 22-9 in the second quarter on their way to a 71-56 victory.  Southwestern shot 49.1% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Warriors connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.  Clay County shot 48.6% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on 20 0f 26 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.

 

5-11 Jr. Regi Cundiff led Southwestern with 22 points and 11 rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Kennedy Harris added 17 points including three three point baskets.  5-9 Fr. Kylie Foreman recorded 11 points and six rebounds.

 

5-9 Jr. Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 20 points including 10 of 14 free throws and five rebounds.  5-9 Sr. Summer Parker added 18 points and five rebounds.  5-4 So. Taylor Asher recorded 14 points including two three point baskets and four of four free throws.

George Rogers Clark outscored Scott 20-11 in the third quarter on their way to a 62-53.  GRC utilized a strong defensive effort tonight holding 5-10 So. star Mya Meredith to seven points.  George Rogers Clark shot 44.9% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 14 of 22 free throws, and pulled down 32 rebounds.  Scott shot 54.5% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on 13 of 19 free throws and pulled down 35 rebounds.  GRC was without the services of 5-9 Sr. Jasmine Flowers who was out ill.

 

5-7 Jr. Kennedy Igo led GRC with 18 points.  5-10 Sr. Hayley Harrison added 15 points and 5-10 Sr. Maleaha Bell recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds. 

 

5-7 Sr. Summer Secrist led Scott with 18 points including two three point baskets and pulled down 10 rebounds.  5-9 So. Sofia Allen added 16 points including two three point baskets and pulled down nine rebounds.  It was reported that both Hayley Harrison and Mya Meredith were both ejected in the second half.  It was also reported by several viewers that in their opinion that the incident did not warrant a double ejection.

Walter Johnson led Ballard with 23 points including five three point baskets.  Lewis Richards added 18 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.  Terrence McDaniels recorded 11 points and seven rebounds.

 

Marques Warrick led Henry Clay with 25 points including six three point baskets, and six rebounds.  Harris Hawkins added 12 points and seven rebounds.  Keaston Brown recorded 11 points and three assists.

Maaliya Owens led Scott County with 25 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and three steals.  Morgan DeFoor added 15 points including three three point baskets, three assists, and two steals.  Kenady Tomkins recorded 11 points and six rebounds.  Juliette Smith chipped in with 11 points, eight assists, and three steals.  5-6 Fr. Timothi Williams added 10 points including two three point baskets.  Malea Williams added eight points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Lincoln County defeated South Laurel by a score of 94-81.  Lincoln County shot 54% from the field including five of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 15 of 19 free throws and pulled down 37 rebounds.  Emma King became the top scorer in Lincoln County girl’s basketball and her career point total is now 2035 points.  South Laurel shot 38% from the field and connected on 11 three point baskets and connected on 14 of 20 free throws.

 

5-11 Sr. Emma King led Lincoln County with 32 points including three three point baskets, 11 of 11 free throws, and pulled down 12 rebounds.  6-0 Sr. Kaitlyn Wilks added 23 points and nine rebounds.  5-6 Sr. Maddy Boyle recorded 18 points 5-10 Jr. Trinity Shearer chipped in with 16 points.

 

5-9 Jr. Ally Collett led South Laurel with 28 points.  5-8 Jr. Amereah Steele added 22 points including four three point baskets.  6-0 Sr. Dianna Morgan recorded 12 points and 5-6 Jt. Sydnie Hall chipped in with 10 points.
