Christian Academy of Louisville coach Perry White started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Shelby Calhoun, 5-9 Sr. Sarah McDonald, 6-2 Sr. Arina Khlopkova, 6-7 Fr. Jaya McClure, and 5-8 Sr. Mia Beam. DuPont Manual coach Jeff Sparks countered with 5-6 Jr. Jenay Riley, 5-5 Fr. Ayanna Stroud, 6-1 Sr. Nila Blackford, 5-5 Jr. Anna Littlefield, and 5-5 Sr. Nyah Smith.
The score was tied 25-25 at halftime but CAL outscored DuPont Manual 19-6 in the third quarter on their way to a 57-42 victory. There were eight ties and nine lead changes in the game. CAL shot 48% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Centurions connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 26 DuPont Manual turnovers. DuPont Manual shot 29.6% from the field including three of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Crimsons connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored eight points off 23 CAL turnovers.
Sarah McDonald led CAL with 15 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Mia Beam added 13 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Jayla McClure recorded 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Shelby Calhoun added eight points, 12 rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
Nila Blackford led DuPont Manual with 15 points, 10 rebounds, teo blocked shots, and four steals. Jenay Riley added 10 points and four rebounds.
