Hoop Dreams 36  N. KY  Knights 29 (Semifinal) – Darius Williams and Jorden Perry led Hoop Dreams with 11 and 10 points respectively.  Thad Moss and Jake Ohmer led the Knights with nine and eight points respectively.

KY Elite 47 Hoops Elite Wildcats 31 (Semifinal) – Braxton Beverly and Chance Melton led KY Elite with 17 and 11 points respectively.  Q. Goodin and William Olsen led Hoops Elite Wildcats with 13 and eight points respectively.

KY Elite 48 Hoop Dreams 41 (Championship) – Zach Hall, Braxton Beverly, and Kel Stotts led KY Elite with 13, 12, and 10 points respectively.  Darius Williams and Jorden Perry led Hoop Dreams with 15 and 10 points respectively.

 

Boys 12&Under Division II

Louisville Elite 41 E. KY Kings 17 (Quarterfinal) – Tony Smyzer and Colin Ferguson led Louisville Elite with 10 and nine points respectively.  Cade Fletcher led E. KY Kings with  five points.

Frankfort Ballers 41 Montgomery Trojans 31 (Quarterfinal) – Trey Farmer and Matthew Smith led the victors with 13 and 11 points respectively.  DeShawn Newton added nine points on three three point baskets.  Chaiten Tomlin led Montgomery Trojans with 14 points including four three point baskets.  Cody Parsley added nine points.

KY Rim Rockers 39 River City Kings 20 (Quarterfinal) – Riley Hall, Spencer McKinney, Jake Smith, and Preston Ledford led the victors with seven, seven, seven, and six points respectively.  Greg Frist and Jordan Johnson led River City Kings with six points each.

N. KY Legends Elite 38 Omega Rhinos 35 (Quarterfinal) – James Russell and David Varney led the victors with nine points each.  Bo Hebel and Matt Wilson led Omega Rhinos with 10 and six points respectively.

Louisville Elite 39 Frankfort Ballers 36 (Semifinal) – Tony Smyzer led Louisville Elite with 16 points.  Kevin Kirby and Colin Ferguson added seven and six points respectively.  Trey Farmer, Matthew Smith, and Anthony Robinson led Frankfort Ballers with 10, eight, and seven points respectively.

KY Rim Rockers 44 N. KY Legends Elite 33 (Semifinal) – Riley Hall and Jake Smith led KY Rim Rockers with 13 points each.  Steffon Green led N. KY Legends Elite with 10 points.

Louisville Elite 60 KY Rim Rockers 36 (Championship) – Kevin Kirby led Louisville Elite with 17 points.  Colin Ferguson added 12 points including three three point baskets.  Riley Hall and Spencer McKinney led KY Rim Rockers with nine and eight points respectively.

Shelby Valley  (31-4)  vs.  Ballard  (32-4)  (Championship)

Shelby Valley pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Ballard by a score of 73-61.  The Wildcats led by 14 points in the second quarter but Ballard scrapped back and entered the final quarter trailing by three points; 50-47.  Shelby Valley outscored Ballard 23-14 in the final quarter to claim the championship.

Shelby Valley shot 41.4% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line.  The Wildcats connected on 21 of 23 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 17 Ballard turnovers.  Ballard shot 41.7% from the field including three of 19  from beyond the arc.  The Bruins connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Shelby Valley turnovers.

6-6 Sr. Ashley Hatfield led Shelby Valley with 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  6-3 Sr. Taylor Newsome added 17 points and nine rebounds.  5-10 Sr. Elisha Justice also recorded 17 points.  6-3 Sr. Cody Varney recorded 13 points and six rebounds.

Ballard pulled away late in the game to defeat Scott County by a score of 67-62.  Scott County’s achilles’ heel was once again foul woes as Chad Jackson, Austin Flannery, and Tanner Shotwell all fouled out today.  Chad Jackson was held to 18 minutes of playing time and fouled out with 6:39 remaining in the game.

Ballard shot 44.2% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 23 of 30 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 46.9% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Ballard turnovers.

6-1 Sr. Ian Chiles led Ballard with 20 points and six rebounds.  6-3 Sr. Keisten Jones added 17 points including four three point baskets.  5-11 Sr. Tyrell Means also recorded 17 points.

Shelby Valley raced out to a 22-11 first quarter lead on their way to a 71-51 victory over Mason County.  Shelby Valley shot 52.1% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Wildcats connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Mason County turnovers.  Mason County shot 38.9% from the field including six of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Royals connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Shelby Valley turnovers.

5-10 Sr. Elisha Justice led Shelby Valley with 31 points including five three point baskets.  Justice was 10 of 16 from the field including five of six from the three point line and six of six from the free throw line.  6-6 Sr. Ashley Hatfield added 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Ian Chiles banked in a three point shot at the buzzer to give Ballard a 62-59 victory over Warren Central.  Ballard led 47-33 after three quarters but Warren Central mounted a comeback aided by several missed free throws by Ballard down the stretch.  The Dragons finally tied the game at 59-59 on a basket by George Fant with five seconds remaining on the clock setting the stage for Chiles’ game winning basket.

Ballard shot 37.5% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 15 of 28 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 18 Warren Central turnovers.  Warren Central shot 45.5% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Dragons connected on 17 of 30 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Ballard turnovers.

Scott County rallied from a 54-49 deficit in the final quarter to defeat Christian County by a score of 69-64.  Dakotah Euton, Ge-Lawn Guyn, Tanner Shotwell, and Tamron Manning all fouled out for Scott County with several of the fouls coming trying to stop penetration by jet-quick Anthony Hickey.  Chad Jackson proved to also be impossible to stop from getting to the rim for the victorious Cardinals.

Scott County shot 54% from the field including three of six from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored six points off seven Christian County turnovers.  Christian County shot 40.4% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 23 of 35 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.

6-4 Sr. Chad Jackson led Scott County with 26 points and 11 rebounds.  Jackson was 10 of 11 from the field and six of 11 from the free throw line.  6-8 Sr. Dakotah Euton added 12 points and nine rebounds.  6-3 Sr. Austin Flannery chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.  6-2 Sr. Ge-Lawn Guyn also reached double figures with 10 points.

West Jessamine only led 64-62 late in the game but closed out the game with a 9-1 run to earn a 73-63 victory over Muhlenberg County.  West Jessamine led 53-41 after three quarters but Muhlenberg County rallied to make it interesting down the stretch.

West Jessamine shot 59% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on 23 of 40 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 11 Muhlenberg County turnovers.  Muhlenberg County shot 36.1% from the field including five of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Mustangs connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 10 West Jessamine turnovers.  Muhlenberg County attempted 22 more shots from the field (61-39) than West Jessamine.

6-3 Sr. Taylor Newsome led Shelby Valley with 22 points and seven rebounds.  Newsome was 10 of 13 from the field including one of one from the three point line and one of two from the free throw line.  5-10 Sr. Elisha Justice added 21 points including three three point baskets and dished out nine assists and pulled down six rebounds.  6-4 Sr. Tyler Newsome chipped in with 15 points including three three point baskets.

Jordan Gilbert hit a runner in the lane with approximately four seconds left in overtime to give Mason County a 58-56 victory over North Hardin.  Mason County led 17-7 after the first quarter but North Hardin rallied to force overtime.

Mason County shot 36.8% from the field including only one of 12 from the three point line.  The Royals connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 North Hardin turnovers.  North Hardin shot 41.7% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Trojans connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Mason County turnovers.

5-10 Jr. Jordan Gilbert, 6-2 Sr. Bradley Lang, and 5-10 sr. Justin Lang led Mason County with 12, 12, and 10 points respectively.  6-5 Sr. Rheuben Bluford added nine points and 14 rebounds.

Knott County Central  (26-6)  vs.  Butler  (19-11)

Knott County Central could not get their long range shots to fall tonight and was defeated 57-46 by Butler.  Butler led 30-17 at halftime but Knott County Central rallied to only trail 36-35 entering the final quarter.  However Butler pulled away for good in the final period.

Butler shot 49 % from the game including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Bears connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Knott County Central turnovers.  Knott County Central shot 32.1% from the field including four of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on eight of 15 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored four points off nine Butler turnovers.

6-1 Sr. Thomas Blakemore led Butler with 17 points.  6-0 Jr. Demetrius Butler and 5-11 Fr. Demetrius McReynolds added 13 and 11 points respectively.  6-1 Sr. Darius Stone pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.

Warren Central outscored East Carter 22-2 in the third quarter on their way to a 55-36 victory.  East Carter took a 13-4 lead in the first quarter but Warren Central rallied to only trail by one point; 21-20 at halftime.  Warren Central held East Carter to 18.5% from the field in the second half and outscored the Raiders 35-15.

Warren Central shot 55.6% from the field including four of seven from the three point line.  The Dragons connected on 11 of 22 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 East Carter turnovers.  East Carter shot 33.3% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Raiders connected on five of 13 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored seven points off 15 Warren Central turnovers.

Ballard finally pulled away in the final two minutes to defeat Shelby County 90-80 in a thrilling “wild west shootout”.  Shelby County was forced to foul late in the game and lost three starters; Donovan Johnson, Cache Tomlinson, and Norris Beckley Jr. due to fouls.

Scott County defeated Boone County 67-66 in an overtime thriller.  Boone County’s Sydney Moss hit a late three pointer in regulation to tie the score and send the game to overtime.  Kristen Stainback nailed a long range three pointer with four seconds remaining in overtime to give Scott County the victory.

Scott County shot 45.6% from the field including three of five from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Boone County turnovers.  Boone County shot 41.8% from the field including seven of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rebels connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.
