Southwestern defeated Lincoln County by the score of 35-14.  Southwestern recorded 24 first downs and 405 yards of total offense.  The Warriors were penalized five times for 45 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Lincoln County recorded 11 first downs and 173 yards of total offense.  The Patriots were penalized three times for 25 yards.

Giddeon Brainard led Southwestern’s ground game with 105 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Tanner Wright added 98 yards on 14 carries.  Connor Crisp recorded 64 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Collin Burton chipped in with 22 yards on four carries.  Christian Walden added 18 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Collin Burton completed seven of 11 passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Caden Cunnagin  caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown.  Giddeon Brainard added two receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown. 

Dalton Board led Lincoln County’s ground game with 17 yards on nine carries.  Clayton Davis carried the ball 10 times for 10 yards and a touchdown.  Sawyer Horton completed nine of 12 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown.   Clayton Davis caught six passes for 94 yards and a touchdown.  Cody Carter added two receptions for 33 yards.  Clayton Davis punted three times for a 40.3 average with one punt inside the 20 yard line.  Landon McQueen intercepted one pass.

Dixie Height’s Colin Smith intercepted a pass in the end zone in the closing seconds to ensure Dixie Heights of a 28-21 victory over Highlands.  Dixie Heights raced out to a 21-7 lead in the second quarter but Highlands rallied to tie the game 21-21 in the third quarter.  Dixie Heights took a 28-21 lead on a Logan Landers 20 yard run and the conversion kick with 48 seconds left in the third quarter.  Highlands appeared to tie the game early in the fourth quarter but the referees ruled it was a double forward pass instead of a lateral and a forward pass therefore the play was called back.  Dixie Heights recorded 24 first downs and 379 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 55 yards.  Highlands recorded 16 first downs and 378 yards of total offense.  The Bluebirds were penalized six times for 55 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.

Logan Landers led Dixie Heights’ ground game with 127 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.  Pierce Rohlman carried the ball 22 times for 86 yards and a touchdown.  Colin Smith recorded 25 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Logan Landers completed 13 of 18 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown.  Brach Rice caught two passes for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Devin Holbert added 23 yards on four receptions.  Mark Dugan caught one pass for 23 yards.  Wyatt Hirth returned one kickoff for 21 yards.  Colin Smith intercepted one pass.

Charlie Noon led Highlands’ ground game with 10 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Charlie Noon completed 18 of 30 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Clayton Lloyd caught seven passes for 103 yards and a touchdown.  Sam Robinson added four receptions for 67 yards.  Carson Class caught one pass for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Matteo Matteoli added two receptions for 63 yards.  Aidan Halpin chipped in with three receptions for 45 yards.  Matteo Matteoli returned one punt for 41 yards.  Isaac Surrey returned two kickoffs for 53 yards.  Carson Class returned two kickoffs for 34 yards.

Lexington Christian prevailed 31-14 over Pikeville in a battle between two of the best teams in the state.  LCA led 17-14 at halftime but scored 14 unanswered points in the second half to earn the victory.  LCA recorded 17 first downs and 402 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized three times for 30 yards.  Pikeville recorded 11 first downs and 293 yards of total offense.  The Panthers were penalized once for five yards.

Xavier Brown led LCA’s ground game with 119 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.  Jeremiah Riffle added 76 yards on eight carries.  JVeontae Emerson recorded 53 yards on seven carries.  Drew Nieves completed eight of 14 passes for 143 yards and one touchdown.  Mason Moore caught five passes for 117 yards and a touchdown.  Jeremiah Riffle returned two kickoffs for 30 yards.  Andrew Dobbs punted three times for a 47.7 average with one inside the 20 yard line.  Will Nichols led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles.  Jeffrey Selby added five solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in lost yardage.

Blake Birchfield led Pikeville’s ground game with 232 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.  Isaac McNamee completed three of 14 passes for 41 yards.  Grant Scott, Zac Lockhart, and Wade Hensley each caught one pass for 17, 14, and 10 points respectively.  Blake Caudill returned one kickoff for 34 yards.  Devin DeRossett led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles.  Luke Ray added three solo and six assisted tackles.  Brenden Anthony recorded four solo and four assisted tackles.

Covington Catholic finally prevailed after four overtimes to defeat Cooper by the score of 31-24. Cooper led 14-0 in the second half but Covington Catholic rallied to tie the score at 14-14 in the final quarter.  Covington Catholic had an opportunity to win in regulation but missed a late field goal (43 yards with nine seconds on the clock.  Both teams scored a touchdown in the first overtime to remain knotted at 21-21.  The second overtime featured a missed 23 yard field goal attempt by Covington Catholic and a blocked field goal on a 20 yard attempt by Cooper.  The third overtime ended in a 24-24 tie as Covington Catholic’s Eli Nally kicked a 36 yard field goal and Cooper’s Drew Warth had earlier notched a 28 yard field goal.  Preston Agee scored on a three yard run and Eli Nally added the conversion kick to give Covington Catholic a 31-24 lead.  Cooper got the ball but on a fourth-and-goal from the 22 a desperation pass was intercepted by Robby Sandfoss in the end zone preserving the victory.

Covington Catholic recorded 18 first downs and 300 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized five times for 79 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Cooper recorded 13 first downs and 369 yards of total offense.  The Jaguars were penalized nine times for 232 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Preston Agee led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 127 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries.  Reid Hummel added 74 yards on 15 carries.  Evan Pitze completed five of 14 passes for 69 yards.  Zion Mason caught one pass for 37 yards.  Robby Sandfoss returned two kickoffs for 57 yards with a long return of 32 yards.  Preston Agee led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  David Sullivan added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Aiden Jones rescorded four solo and two assisted tackles.  Dallas Wirth added four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Trevor Wilson also recorded four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Robby Sandfoss and Brayden Collins each intercepted a pass.

Brendon Tye led Cooper’s ground game with 166 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.  Eli White carried the ball 14 times for 152 yards and a touchdown.  Drew Warth completed eight of 13 passes for 65 yards with two interceptions.  Alex Turner caught three passes for 24 yards.  Jake Harmeyer added two receptions for 21 yards.  Eli White returned two kickoffs for 95 yards including a long return of 82 yards.  Jack Lonaker led the defense with 15 solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Lonaker also intercepted a pass he returned 15 yards.  Jake Harmeyer added 11 solo and one assisted tackles.  Brendon Tye recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 30 yards.

Scott County could not generate offense tonight and Frederick Douglass dominated in a 35-0 home victory.  Frederick Douglass recorded 18 first downs and 389 yards of total offense.  The Broncos were penalized 10 times for 136 yards and lost two fumbles.  Scott County recorded nine first downs and 93 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized five times for 40 yards and lost a fumble.

DaVaun Hart led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 154 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.  TJ Horton carried the ball five times for 35 yards.  Samuel Cornett completed 17 of 31 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown.  Cameron Dunn caught seven passes for 59 yards.  Dane Key added five receptions for 65 yards.  Thomas Howard added a touchdown reception.  Ty Bryant returned two punts for 40 yards including a long return of 24 yards.  TJ Horton returned two kickoffs for 118 yards including a long return of 67 yards.  Ty Bryant led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Japhia Kennedy added four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Isaiah Kennedy recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.  Davis Joyner added two solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss and recorded a safety.  Caden Johnson recorded two solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Tresean Benford also recorded a safety.

Campton Martin led Scott County’s ground game with 45 yards on 10 carries.  Montago Jones carried the ball 15 times for 38 yards.  Andrew Hickey completed one of 10 passes for seven yards.  Jeremy Hamilton caught one pass for seven yards.  Jeremy Hamilton returned two kickoffs for 45 yards with a long return of 26 yards.  Campton Martin returned two kickoffs for 69 yards with a long return of 40 yards.  Paul Garner led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles.  Andrew Wilhite added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Isaac Krebs recorded four solo and four assisted tackles.  Luke Vsalencia added one solo and five assisted tackles and recovered two fumbles with return yardage of 17 yards.

Lexington Catholic rebounded from a loss to Lexington Christian Academy last week with a 38-13 victory over Tates Creek.  Lexington Catholic QB Jack Gohmann threw for three touchdowns tonight and ran for two more scores.  Lexington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 458 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 53 yards and lost a fumble.  Tates creek recorded 13 first downs and 303 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized 13 times for 100 yards.

Walker Hall led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 94 yards on 17 carries.  Jack Gohmann added 87 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Max Mooring carried the ball five times for 42 yards.  Jack Gohmann completed 15 of 17 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns.  Jack Monday caught five passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Max DeGraff added three receptions for 58 yards.  Blake Busson caught two passes for 44 yards and two touchdowns.  San Clements returned two kickoffs for 29 yards.  Blake Busson returned one kickoff for 25 yards.  Jack Monday led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles.  Cannon Mackley added three solo and three assisted tackles with one of her tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  H. Romero recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Patrick Davis added three solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.

Matthew Underwood led Tates Creek’s ground game with 154 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  Andrew Whitherington completed 14 of 23 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown.  Marquevian Smith caught eight passes for 61 yards.  Ke’shon Douthitt caught a 29 yard touchdown pass.  Aliyon Blevins returned one kickoff for 40 yards.  Marquevian Smith returned two kickoffs for 40 yards with a long return of 31 yards.  Matthew Underwood led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles.  Logan Julian added three solo and five assisted tackles.  Laquan Newby recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.

Lafayette continues to struggle as Bryan Station defeated the Generals tonight by the score of 43-0.  Bryan Station recorded 13 first downs and 245 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized seven times for 61 yards and lost one fumble.  Lafayette recorded nine first downs and 62 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized three times for 24 yards and lost two fumbles.

Jeremiah Mundy-Lloyd led Bryan Station’s ground game with 48 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Trenton Cutwright carried the ball seven times for 22 yards and a touchdown.  Joseph Bond added 18 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Trenton Cutwright completed 11 of 11 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns.  Damin Green caught three passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns.  J.Marious Lindsay added three receptions for 37 yards.  Ervin Munford caught one pass for 32 yards.  Nikalos Dixon led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Amodeus Taylor added two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Jahvon Frazier recorded one solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Yedideyah Sledge added one solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards and recovered a fumble.  Damin Green scored on a 14 yard fumble recovery return.

DJ Dumas led Lafayette’s ground game with 46 yards on six carries.  DJ Walker completed five of 11 passes for 45 yards.  Tanner Pace caught three passes for 27 yards.  Dez Hanley added one reception for 20 yards.  Derreon Stewart returned four kickoffs for 72 yards with a long return of 26 yards.  Everett Laurance led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles.  Ruben Garcia and Caleb Bryant added three solo tackles each. Tre Wilson III recovered a fumble he returned 15 yards.

Pleasure Ridge Park rolled up 409 yards of total offense in a 48-9 victory over DeSales High School.  Pleasure Ridge Park recorded 20 first downs and 409 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 76 yards.  DeSales High School recorded nine first downs and 120 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized seven times for 57 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Deshawn Barkley led PRP’s ground game with 95 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries.  Malachi Hobson carried the ball once for 33 yards and a touchdown.  Kayden Anderson completed 20 of 27 passes for 261 yards and five touchdowns.  Jakob Dixon caught seven passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns.  Kendrick Jackson added five receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Anthony Woods recorded 53 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Ethan Gibson caught four passes for 19 yards and a touchdown.  Tyler Coffee punted three times for a 40.7 average with a long punt of 55 yards with one punt inside the 20 yard line.  Anthony Woods returned one punt for 22 yards.

Devon Armstrong led DeSales’ ground game with 45 yards on 12 carries.  David Griffith carried the ball nine times for 27 yards.  Jake Meeks completed four of 10 passes for 46 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  David Griffith caught two passes for 21 yards and a touchdown.  Garrett Price and Ashton Jordan each caught one pass for 13 and 12 yards respectively.  Devon Armstrong returned one punt for 29 yards and returned one kickoff for 24 yards.
