DeSales defeated Western Hills by a score of 41-0.  DeSales recorded 18 first downs and 393 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized 12 times for 139 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Western Hills recorded six first downs and 98 yards of total offense.  The Wolverines were penalized twice for 20 yards and had three passes intercepted.

James Johnson led DeSales ground game with 105 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  David Griffith carried the ball four times for 26 yards.  Jayden Scroggin added 24 yards and one touchdown on six carries.  Jayden Scroggin completed 12 of 18 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Zach Locke caught two passes for 61 yards.  Zane Wilkerson added two receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown.  Luke McClinton caught two passes for 35 yards.  James Johnson chipped in with two receptions for 21 yards.  Caleb Winebrenner caught a 31 yard touchdown reception.  Lane Weiter returned one punt for 59 yards.  David Griffith led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles.  Derek Hollenkamp added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Lance Weiter recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.  Lance Weiter, Zane Wilkerson, and Anthony Usher each intercepted a pass.

Jason Rogers led Western Hills ground game with 32 yards on eight carries.  Jason Rogers completed seven of 18 passes for 58 yards with three interceptions.  Jeff Parker caught four passes for 21 yards.  Dylan McGaughey added two receptions for 29 yards.  Jason Rogers returned five kickoffs for 121 yards with a long return of 34 yards.  Jeff Parker led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.  Jacob Fields added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Jaden Youngblood recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.  Dylan McGaughey intercepted a pass.

Paul Laurence Dunbar handed Lafayette their fifth shutout loss of the season by the score of 45-0.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 16 first downs and 409 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized four times for 49 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.  Lafayette recorded three first downs and 15 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized seven times for 37 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Kamarion Robinson led Dunbar’s ground game with 93 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Jose Kadazi carried the ball once for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Oumar Toure added 34 yards on six carries.  Justin Bayubahe carried the ball seven times for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Jake Smith completed nine of 13 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Howard Jackson completed his only pass for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Luke Olive caught two passes for 69 yards.  Howard Jackson added two receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown.  Kamarion Robinson caught two passes for 38 yards and a touchdown.  Andrew Jones caught two passes for 33 yards and a touchdown.  Josiah Brown led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 26 yards.  Mason Hayslett added four solo and two assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards and intercepted a pass he returned 23 yards.  Camry Dryden recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards and recovered a fumble he returned 75 yards. Jose Kadazi recovered a fumble and Frank Illunga intercepted a pass he returned 21 yards.  Bethel Green also a member of the girls’ soccer team kicked four extra points and a 22 yard field goal tonight.

Owen Hellard led Lafayette’s ground game with eight yards on two carries.  Myles Florek completed eight of 18 passes for 48 yards with two interceptions.  Tanner Pace caught two passes for 26 yards.  Trey Wilson III returned three punts for 68 yards with a long return of 28 yards.  JaeWon Kendrick returned three kickoffs for 31 yards.  Mike Taylor led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Owen Hellard added five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Donovan Jackson recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Braden Kettenring intercepted a pass.

Bryan Station’s team speed prevailed tonight as they beat Simon Kenton by a score of 54-39.  Make no mistake the Defenders are for real Coach Hawkins said after a season opening 7-6 loss to Scott County that he had a good team and they finished the game on an eight game winning streak.  Bryan Station recorded 24 first downs and 513 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized six times for 70 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Simon Kenton recorded 24 first downs and 495 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized five times for 40 yards.

Joseph Bond led Bryan Station’s ground game with 206 yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries.  Bayubahe Benit added 64 yards on seven carries.  Mikaleb Coffey completed 16 of 20 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns.  AhTraivon Jenkins caught seven passes for 51 yards and a touchdown.  Carl Munford added five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Tylin Israel also caught a touchdown pass.  Giovanni Watson led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.  Kenguruka Promessee added four solo and five assisted tackles.  Jason Hocker recorded five solo and three assisted tackles.

Jayden Lawson led Simon Kenton with 106 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.  Chase Crone carried the ball 20 times for 81 yards and two touchdowns.  Chase Crone completed 16 of 28 passes for 308 yards and two touchdowns.  Trey Little caught six passes for 134 yards and one touchdown.  Chase Williams caught two passes for 57 yards.  Marcus Courtney recorded two receptions for 50 yards.  Luke Morrison caught three passes for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Jayden Lawson returned six kickoffs for 105 yards.  Nate Walker led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.  Dakota Brookshank added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Josh Bowling recorded four solo and three assisted tackles.  Brennon Miller intercepted a pass.

Madison Southern raced out to a 44-0 third quarter lead on their way to a 44-14 victory over Madison Central.  Madison Southern recorded 12 first downs and 301 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 77 yards.  Madison Central recorded 13 first downs and 195 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized nine times for 48 yards. Lost one fumble, and had one pass intercepted.

Walter Smith led Madison Southern’s ground game with 62 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Cameron Holbrook carried the ball nine times for 29 yards.  Jayshaun Ethridge added 11 yards and two touchdowns on two carries.  Cole Carpenter completed eight of 13 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns.  Walter Smith caught two passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.  Jonah Farnstrom added two receptions for 40 yards.  Jayshaun Ethridge caught one pass for 56 yards and a touchdown.  Walter Smith returned two punts for 85 yards including a touchdown return of 57 yards.  Rocky Whitehead led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 24 yards and recovered a fumble.  Levi Benton added six solo tackles.  Alex Buttry recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with 1.2 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  Clay Bunch chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Jonah Farnstrom intercepted a pass he returned 47 yards.

Adrien Parks led Madison Central’s ground game with 38 yards on 14 carries.  Kenyatta Hardge carried the ball five times for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Canon Scenters completed nine of 19 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Zach Holbrook caught five passes for 44 yards and a touchdown.  Keith Clark and Cameron McAlpin each caught one pass for 35 and 34 yards respectively.  Jayden West returned four kickoffs for 55 yards with a long return of 18 yards.  Jeffrey Kinley returned two kickoffs for 37 yards including a long return of 21 yards.  Jeffrey Kinley led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Cooper Mullins added three solo and two assisted tackles.  Brayden Prewitt recorded one solo and four assisted tackles.

Lexington Catholic upset Covington Catholic 29-28 tonight to break the Colonels’ 22 game winning streak and hand them their first regular season loss since 2016.  Lexington Catholic took a 21-7 lead after three quarters but Covington Catholic roared back to take a 28-21 lead with 1:06 left in the game.  However Lexington Catholic rallies and pulled within one: 28-27 on a 20 yard pass from Jack Gohmann to Jack Monday with 32 seconds left on the clock.  The Knights elected to go for two and Jack Gohmann delivered with a pass to Jackson Corbett to make the score 29-28.  The game was not over as Covington Catholic raced down the field and had a chance for the win with a 45 yard field goal attempt by Trey Gronette in the closing seconds but Lexington Catholic blocked the kick to ensure the victory.

Lexington Catholic recorded 13 first downs and 272 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized four times for 36 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Covington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 314 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized four times for 44 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Darin Eldridge led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 48 yards on 12 carries.  Jack Gohmann carried the ball twice for 23 yards.  Jack Gohmann completed 16 of 27 passes for 180 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Blake Busson caught five passes for 34 yards and a touchdown.  Jack Monday added four receptions for 89 yards and two touchdowns.  Jackson Corbett recorded four receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown.  JD Woodall returned three punts for 54 yards with a long return of 27 yards.  Woodall also returned three kickoffs for 102 yards with a long return of 43 yards.  Jack Powell led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Jackson Corbett recorded six solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 31 yards.  Pearce Hall added three solo and five assisted tackles.  JD Woodall chipped in with five solo tackles.  Teddy Bulock also intercepted a pass.

Cameron Giesler led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 51 yards on nine carries.  Brayden Collins added 50 yards on 12 carries.  Caleb Jacob carried the ball 14 times for 50 yards and two touchdowns.  Owen Nally added a three yard touchdown run.  Caleb Jacob completed nine of 21 passes for 144 yards with two interceptions.  Ethan Reardon caught three passes for 64 yards.  Ryan Schneider added two receptions for 51 yards.  Rob Sandfoss returned three kickoffs for 77 yards with a long return of 32 yards.  Cameron Giesler returned two kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 42 yards.  Aiden Jones led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles.  Benjamin Dickhaus added two solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  David Sullivan recorded three solo and one assisted tackles.  Charlie Sora intercepted a pass.

Ryle continues their late season surge with a 35-14 victory over Cooper.  Ryle recorded 21 first downs and 403 yards of total offense.  The Raiders were penalized three times for 30 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Cooper recorded 16 first downs and 250 yards of total offense.  The Jaguars were penalized twice for 20 yards.

Matthias Cusick led Ryle’s ground game with 82 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Bradyn Lyons carried the ball six times for 49 yards.  Bradyn Lyons completed 14 of 25 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Jackson McGinnis caught two passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.  Jameson Smith added three receptions for 38 yards. Greyson Barber caught two passes for 37 yards.  Graves Fryman added two receptions for 15 yards and a touchdown.  Gabe Savage led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles.  Jackson Belk added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Matthias Cusick recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.

Jeremiah Lee led Cooper’s ground game with 98 yards on 19 carries.  Eric Wright added 45 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Eli White carried the ball six times for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Jeremiah Lee completed three of nine passes for 37 yards.  Eric Wright caught two passes for 24 yards.  Eric Wright returned one kickoff for 23 yards.  Jeremiah Lee led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Brady Bond added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Chester Hale and Alex McEachern each recorded five solo tackles.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated a good Pikeville team tonight 35-13 despite still not having the services of playmaker Xavier Brown who is recovering from an injury.  LCA recorded 21 first downs and 375 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized four times for 40 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Pikeville recorded 16 first downs and 293 yards of total offense.  The Panthers were penalized twice for 20 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Drew Nieves led LCA’s ground game with 60 yards on 10 carries.  Tyler Morris carried the ball 10 times for 58 yards and two touchdowns.  Jeffrey Selby added 28 yards on seven carries.  Drew Nieves completed 18 of 24 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Mason Moore caught seven passes for 100 yards.  Will Vernon added four receptions for 47 yards.  Jeffrey Selby caught a 33 yard touchdown pass and Chance McGaughey added an eight yard scoring reception.  Mattie Lebryk led the defense with two solo and eight assisted tackles.  Will Vernon and Chance McGaughey each recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.  Mason Moore recorded two interceptions including one he returned 35 yards for a touchdown and Will Nichols recovered a fumble.

Blake Birchfield led Pikeville’s ground game with 58 yards on 19 carries.  Brayden Thomas carried the ball six times for 55 yards and a touchdown.  Nate Collins added 31 yards on five carries.  Isaac McNamee completed nine of 20 passes for 157 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Zac Lockhart caught two passes for 104 yards and a touchdown.  Blake Birchfield added four receptions for 40 yards.  Nate Collins led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Barrett Caudill added eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Zac Lockhart recorded four solo and four assisted tackles.  Logan Reed recovered a fumble.

Covington Catholic continues to roll with a 38-3 victory over Simon Kenton.  Covington Catholic recorded 22 first downs and 453 yards of total offense.  They were penalized once for five yards and had a pass intercepted.  Simon Kenton recorded 16 first downs and 260 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized four times for 31 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Owen Nally led Covington Catholic’s ground attack with 83 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.  Ryan Schnieder carried the ball seven times for 52 yards and a touchdown.  Caleb Jacob completed 20 of 30 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Ethan Reardon caught five passes for 106 yards.  Owen Nally added four receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown.  Ryan Schnieder caught three passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.  Aiden Jones led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Sam France added five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Ben Dickhaus recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Max Lawrie recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Robby Sandfoss added two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 17 yard loss.

Jayden Lawson led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 131 yards on 15 carries.  Chase Crone completed 12 of 23 passes for 98 yards.  Trey Little caught four passes for 43 yards.  Caleb Livers and Luke Morrison each caught three passes for 33 yards respectively.  Caleb Livers returned one punt for 10 yards.  Marcus Courtney returned three kickoffs for 53 yards with a long return of 25 yards.  Landon Meyer led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Nate Walker added seven solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 15 yards.  Josh Bowling recorded six solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Daniel Fagan added five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.

Lincoln County recorded 405 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground in a 46-24 victory over Rockcastle County.  Lincoln County recorded 15 first downs and 466 yards of total yardage.  The Patriots were penalized four times for 30 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Rockcastle County recorded 14 first downs and 241 yards of total offense.  The Rockets were penalized twice for 15 yards.

Clayton Davis led Lincoln County’s ground game with 208 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries.  Lee Amon carried the ball seven times for 100 yards and two touchdowns.  Thaeden Garr recorded 53 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Benjamin Harris carried the ball twice for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Clayton Davis completed three of five passes for 61 yards.  Lee Amon caught two passes for 51 yards.  Hunter Hanley led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles.  Lee Amon added seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Cody Miracle recorded five solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Clayton Davis also recorded five solo and three assisted tackles.  Dalton Board recovered two fumbles.
