North Florida coach Matthew Driscoll started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Carter Hendricksen, 6-7 So. Dorian James, 6-9 Fr. Jonathan Aybar, 6-1 So. Jose Placer, and 6-4 Sr. Ryan Burkhardt.  Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton countered with 6-7 So. Michael Moreno, 6-5 Fr. Curt Lewis, 6-9 Jr. Tre King. 6-0 Sr. Russhard Cruickshank, and 6-1 Jr. Cooper Robb.

 

Eastern Kentucky University defeated North Florida by the score of 80-67.  Eastern Kentucky shot 35.4% from the field including five of 28 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers.  North Florida shot 38.9% from the field including 10 of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Ospreys connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and committed 21 turnovers. 

 

Tre King led Eastern Kentucky with 15 points, 10 rebounds, two blocked shots, and four steals.  Curt Lewis added 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  5-11 Fr.Wendell Green Jr. recorded 12 points and six assists.  Cooper Robb chipped in with 10 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  6-10 So.Tariq Balogun added nine points and three blocked shots.  Michael Moreno pulled down six rebounds.

 

Carter Hendricksen led North Florida with 20 points including five three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Jose Placer added 13 points including six of six free throws and five assists.  6-2 So.Emmanuel Adedoyin recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.  Jonathan Aybar chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.  Dorian James recorded four points, nine rebounds, and three assists.

Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams started the following lineup: 5-11 Fr. Corriana Evans, 5-10 Fr. Kendall Wingler, 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati, and 5-10 Fr. Clara Rosini.  Indiana coach Teri Moren countered with 6-3 Jr. Aleska Guibe, 6-0 Jr. Grace Berger, 6-3 So. MacKenzie Holmes, 5-10 Sr. Jaelynn Penn, and 5-11 Sr.. Ali Patberg.

 

Eastern Kentucky’s young squad got their baptism of fire on the road against nationally ranked Indiana as they trailed 34-8 after the first quarter on their way to a 100-51 loss.  Indiana shot 54.7% from the field including nine of 26 from the three point line.  They connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 56 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  They held a decisive 60-12 advantage on points in the paint.  Eastern Kentucky shot 25% from the field including nine of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on two of six free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight Indiana turnovers.

 

MacKenzie Holmes led Indiana with 26 points on 13 of 13 from the field, eight rebounds, two steals, and seven blocked shots.  Ali Patberg added 18 points. Grace Berger recorded 17 points including two three point baskets,10 rebounds, and 10 assists..  6-2 Jr. Danielle Patterson chipped in with 14 points including two three point baskets.  6-0 So. Grace Waggoner pulled down nine rebounds.

 

5-9 Fr. Amerah Steele led Eastern Kentucky with 13 points including three three point baskets.  Alice Recanati added 11 points and three rebounds.  5-10 Jr. Kennedy Azubike recorded 10 points and four rebounds.  Corriana Evans pulled down nine rebounds.

Bethel Green joined the Paul L. Dunbar foorball team after her soccer season and has made an instant impact.  Tonight she kicked a 25 yard field goal which proved to be the deciding points as Dunbar held on for a 23-20 victory over Tates Creek.  Dunbar recorded 23 first downs and 236 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 70 yards and lost three fumbles.  Tates Creek recorded 20 first downs and 211 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized 10 times for 50 yards, lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted

Kamarion Robinson led Dunbar’s ground game with 103 yards on 21 carries.  Jake Smith completed eight of 17 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.  Luke Olive caught three passes for 51 yards.  Howard Jackson added three receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Oumar Toure added one reception for 21 yards.  Jakobe Bickerstaff caught a three yard touchdown reception.  Andrew Jones returned one punt for 54 yards.  Howard Jackson led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  Connor Smith added three solo and three assisted tackles.  Mason Hayslett recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.  Weston Holloman added four solo tackles and intercepted a pass.

Aaron Klein led Tates Creek’s ground game with 42 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Matthew Underwood added eight times for 19 yards.  Aaron Klein completed 13 of 29 passes for 112 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Trepeon Broadus caught four passes for 26 yards and a touchdown.  Matthew Underwood added two receptions for 54 yards.  Matthew Underwood led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14.5 yards.  JT Acosta added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Eric Hackett recorded five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss and recovered a fumble he returned for a touchdown.  Jalen English and Elijah Perkins each recovered a fumble.

Covington Catholic defeated Cooper by a score of 36-8.  Covington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 368 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized three times for 24 yards. Cooper recorded 12 first downs and 332 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 37 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Caleb Jacob led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 81 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Reid Hummel added 58 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Brayden Collins recorded 27 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Owen Nally chipped in with 12 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Caleb Jacob completed nine of 13 passes for 166 yards. Ethan Reardon caught four passes for 107 yards.  Ryan Schnieder led the defense with seven solo tackles.  Ben Dickhaus added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Aiden Jones recorded four solo tackles.  Max Lawrie chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Sam France added three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Trey Gronette scored on a 38 yard interception return.  David Sullivan and Mason Zion each intercepted a pass.

Jeremiah Lee led Cooper’s ground game with 182 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.  Eli White carried the ball four times for 43 yards.  Jeremiah Lee completed eight of 15 passes for 69 yards with two interceptions.  Xavier Smith caught four passes for 29 yards.  Earl Knuckles added one reception for 17 yards. Jeremiah Lee returned one punt for 12 yards.  Jake Harmeyer led the defense with nine solo tackles.  Chester Hale added seven solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Xavier Smith also recorded seven solo tackles.  Adam Sand chipped in with five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.

Southwestern defeated Whitley County by the score of 42-15.  Southwestern recorded 21 first downs and 495 yards of total offense.  The Warriors were penalized 10 times for 105 yards and lost a fumble.  Whitley County recorded 13 first downs and 297 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized three times for 25 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Giddeon Brainard led Southwestern’s ground game with 119 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Tanner Wright carried the ball 13 times for 84 yards and two touchdowns.  Christian Walden added 73 yards on six carries.  Connor Crisp chipped in with 68 yards on eight carries.  JJ Hutchinson added 45 yards and two touchdowns on four carries.  Ethan Ware recorded 55 yards on four carries.  Chanler Crabtree completed five of nine passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Maison Hibbard caught two passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.  Maison Hibbard returned one punt for 37 yards.  Tanner Wright intercepted a pass.

Eastern Kentucky scored on four plays of over 60 yards and rolled up 590 yards of total offense in a 49-17 victory over Western Carolina.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 23 first downs and 590 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized 11 times for 100 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  Western Carolina recorded 17 first downs and 255 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 45 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Alonzo Booth led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 178 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries.  Kyeandre Magloire carried the ball three times for 32 yards.  Isaiah Velez completed 18 of 32 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Jackson Beerman completed his only pass for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Jackson Beerman caught five passes for 102 yards and one touchdown.  Jacquez Jones also caught five passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.  Keyion Dixon recorded three receptions for 52 yards.  Alonzo Booth caught a 69 yard touchdown reception.  Davion Ross returned two kickoffs for 116 yards including a 94 yard return for a touchdown.  Alexander Woznick kicked off eight times for a 58.5 average and five touchbacks.  Matthew Jackson led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  TJ Comstock added four solo tackles.  Elijah Taylor recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 18 yard loss.  Allante Leapheart chipped in with three solo tackles and intercepted a pass.  Daulson Fitzpatrick also intercepted a pass.

Donnavan Spencer led Western Carolina’s ground game with 56 yards on 13 carries.  Mikai Stanley carried the ball seven times for 30 yards.  Will Jones completed 12 of 25 passes for 127 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Mark Wright completed two of eight passes for seven yards with one interception.  Calvin Jones caught four passes for 28 yards.  Clayton Bardall and Mahari Stribling each caught one pass for 40 and 30 yards respectively with Stribling’s reception going for a touchdown.  Brandon Dickerson punted 10 times for a 40.1 average with a long punt of 52 yards with seven punts inside the 20 yard line.  Quintin Talley and AJ Rogers each recorded six solo and two assisted tackles.  Ricky Palao added one solo and six assisted tackles and recovered a fumble he returned 54 yards for a touchdown.  Ronald Kent Jr. chipped in with four solo and two assisted tackles. Roman Johnson added two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Trevor Childers recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned 14 yards.  Aaron Gethers recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass he returned 22 yards.

Simon Kenton raced out to a 23-0 first quarter lead and led 33-13 in the third quarter but Dixie Heights rallied to take their first lead 34-33 with 5:31 left in the game and held on for the victory.  Dixie Heights recorded 24 first downs and 459 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized eight times for 80 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Simon Kenton recorded 20 first downs and 351 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized four times for 25 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Pierce Rohlman led Dixie Heights’ ground game with 101 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  Logan Landers carried the ball 14 times for 62 yards and two touchdowns.  Logan Landers completed 18 of 27 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Devin Holbert caught eight passes for 117 yards and a touchdown.  Kel Hawkins added five receptions for 110 yards.  Alex Kautz caught a seven yard touchdown pass.  Simon Sharpe returned five kickoffs for 83 yards.  Colin Smith intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble.

Chase Crone led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 115 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.  Jayden Lawson carried the ball 19 times for 88 yards and one touchdown.  Chase Crone completed 11 of 26 passes for 134 yards and one touchdown.  Trey Little caught three passes for 89 yards and a touchdown.  Kody Sims added two receptions for 15 yards. Murray rallied from a 14-0 deficit in the second quarter to defeat Caldwell County by the score of 35-28.  Murray recorded 20 first downs and 378 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 13 times for 135 yards and lost a fumble.  Caldwell County recorded 23 first downs and 359 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 10 times for 80 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Charvelle McCallister led Murray’s ground game with 180 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.  Brendan Dahncke carried the ball 16 times for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Rowdy Sokolowski  added 42 yards on eight carries.  Rowdy Sokolowski completed seven of 11 passes for 98 yards and one touchdown.  Daniel Klukan caught one pass for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Brendan Dahncke added two receptions for 30 yards.  Charvelle McCallister caught two passes for 14 yards.  Charvelle McCallister returned four kickoffs for 108 yards.  Andrew Orr led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles.  William Mitchum added four solo tackles.  Devin Lee recorded three solo and two assisted tackles.  Dijon Miles intercepted a pass he returned 42 yards for a touchdown.

Brady Klingshirn kicked a 26 yard field goal as time expired to give Coldwater a 38-35 victory over New Middletown Springfield.  Coldwater tied the score at 28-28 on a Tyler Schwieterman 36 yard pass from Myles Blasingame and a conversion kick by Klungshirn with 1:36 left o the clock.  Springfield was forced to punt on their ensuing possession and Zack McKibben returned the punt 72 yards to the Springfield 11 to set up Brady Klingshirn’s winning field goal.  Coldwater recorded 17 first downs and 421 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 15 yards and lost a fumble.  Springfield recorded 20 first downs and 457 yards of total offense.  They were penalized once for five yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.

Myles Blasingame led Coldwater’s ground game with 99 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries.  Zack McKibben carried the ball 12 times for 82 yards.  Myles Blasingame completed 11 of 20 passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns.  Zack McKibben caught four passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns.  Tyler Schwieterman added four receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown.  Jay Muhlenkamp recorded two receptions for 48 yards.  Zack McKibben returned three punts for 106 yards with a long return of 72 yards.  McKibben also returned three kickoffs for 87 yards with a long return of 32 yards.  Jesse Meyer led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  Darin Schmitmeyer added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Jay Muhlenkamp recorded three solo and three assisted tackles.  Zach Hamberg added three solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Zack McKibben chipped in with a four solo tackles and recovered a fumble.
