CHICAGO BOYS FALL SHOWCASE

6-5 senior Brian Mosby of St. Louis Cardinal Ritter (MO) and 5-10 junior Jaronde' Boyd of Michigan City (IN) head the list of players who will be in attendance at the upcoming Chicago High Potential/Blue-Chip Fall Showcase.

 

This showcase will take place on September 20th (Sunday) at Lincoln-Way North High School in Frankfort (IL), a suburb of Chicago, between the hours of 9 AM and 6 PM (CDT). There is no admission charge and free programs for all college coaches.

 

This is a great opportunity to see a wide range of players from the Midwest as the showcase will be a gold mine for D-2, D-3, NAIA and JUCO coaches.

 

Hope to see you there-You won't regret it.

Central 20  St. Xavier 17 – Central captured a big win tonight as they defeated the Tigers for the first time in 36 meetings.

 

Elder (OH) 35  Scott County 17Ja’Vahri Portis carried the ball 18 times for 98 yards and three touchdowns to lead Elder.  QB Peyton Ramsey completed 12 of 15 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns.

 

Lexington Catholic 15  Covington Catholic 14 – LexCath stopped CovCath on a two point conversion attempt in the final minute to ensure the victory.  Jaylen Jones carried the ball 26 times for 155 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 30 yards and a touchdown to lead the victors.

 

Bryan Station 50  Madison Central 20Andre Davis completed 15 of 22 passes for 207 yards and six touchdowns and carried the ball 10 times for 75 yards to lead Bryan Station.

 

Lafayette 56  Boone County 7Mason Alstatt (five carries for 152 yards and two touchdowns) and Walker Wood (four carries for 140 yards and one touchdown) led Lafayette’s ground game tonight.

Eastern Kentucky kept the score close in the first half but North Carolina State pulled away in the second half to earn a 35-0 victory.  North Carolina State recorded 24 first downs and 443 yards of total offense.  The Wolfpack was penalized seven times for 56 yards and lost a fumble.  Eastern Kentucky University recorded seven first downs and 112 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized eight times for 53 yards.

Matthew Dayes led the North Carolina State ground game with 116 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries.  Reggie Gallaspy carried the ball eight times for 25 yards.  Jaylen Samuels recorded 24 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Jacoby Brissett completed 17 of 22 passes for 216 yards and a touchdown.  Jumichael Ramos caught seven passes for 95 yards.  Jaylen Samuels added six receptions for 88 yards.  Benson Browne caught a five yard touchdown pass.  Bra’lon Cherry returned four punts for 74 yards with a long return of 38 yards.  Hakim Jones led the defense with five solo tackles.  BJ Hill added four solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Bradley Chubb also recorded four solo tackles.

Dy’Shawn Mobley led Eastern’s ground game with 31 yards on seven carries.  Bennie Coney completed five of 19 passes for 79 yards.  Jeff Glover caught four passes for 60 yards.  Stanley Absanon led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  K. Northington added six solo tackles.  D. Montgomery recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.

Central scored a monumental upset with a 20-17 victory over St. Xavier to notch their first victory in thirty-six meetings with the Tigers.  Central recorded 14 first downs and 285 yards of total offense.  The Yellowjackets were penalized 13 times for 113 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  St. Xavier recorded 14 first downs and 320 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized nine times for 85 yards, lost a fumble and had two passes intercepted.

Corey Johnson led Central’s ground game with 34 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Stephen Jones carried the ball nine times for 31 yards.  Myron Norfleet completed 15 of 23 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Clavon Armstrong completed three of three passes for 39 yards.  Kambrin Brown caught five passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Zachary White added four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.  Aaron Duncan and Luke Bowman led the defense with three solo tackles each.  Aric Hamblin added two solo and one assisted tackles.

D. Ridder led St. Xavier’s ground game with 200 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.  S. Taylor carried the ball 10 times for 44 yards.  D. Ridder completed four of 11 passes for 34 yards with two interceptions.  M. Blincoe caught two passes for 13 yards.  M. Masterson caught one pass for 13 yards.  L. Paul Laurence Dunbar earned their first victory of the season fueled by Jefferson Harkless’ 203 yards and three touchdowns on the ground with a 20-3 victory over Eastern.  Dunbar recorded 14 first downs and 291 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 66 yards.  Louisville Eastern recorded three first downs and 83 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized nine times for 77 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Eastern only ran 33 offensive plays compared to 62 for Dunbar.

Jefferson Harkless led Dunbar’s ground game with 203 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries.  Tre Homer completed two of five passes for 18 yards.  Dontell Brown caught one pass for 15 yards.  Carter Hayslet led the defense with three solo tackles.  Braxton Edge added two solo and one assisted tackles.  Quinton Dixon and DeRante Sanders each recorded two solo tackles.

R. Johnson led Eastern’s ground game with 11 yards on five carries.  JD Berger completed six of 23 passes for 79 yards with one interception.  Lawrence Webb caught three passes for 23 yards.  Bryce Williams added two receptions for 47 yards.  Langston Webb led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles.  Evan Mudd added five solo and four assisted tackles.  William Leake recorded six solo and one assisted tackles.

Franklin County took the measure of their county rival 46-15 on a rainy night at historic Sower Field tonight.  Frankfort is a 1A school with a proud tradition and a storied past but their season has been hampered by the loss of do-everything athlete Anthony Robinson with a foot injury in the opening game of the season.  Franklin County recorded 17 first downs and 399 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized five times for 42 yards and lost a fumble.  Frankfort recorded 18 first downs and 265 yards of total offense.  The Panthers were penalized five times for 46 yards and lost three fumbles.

Makale Marks led Franklin County’s ground game with 56 yards on two carries.  Barrett Sanderson carried the ball eight times for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Denzell Vance recorded 36 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Barrett Sanderson completed 14 of 20 passes for 252 yards and four touchdowns.  DeJuan Davis caught three passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns.  DeMarcus Kennedy added three receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Landon Hurst caught a 17 yard touchdown pass.  DeMarcus Kennedy led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  Sidney Levarty added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Zach Spradlin recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 30 yards.

DeShawn Newton led Frankfort’s ground game with 49 yards on 20 carries.  Malik Frank carried the ball twice for 28 yards.  DeShawn Newton completed 15 of 32 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns.  Malik Frank caught five passes for 67 yards.  Matthew Smith added five receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown.  D. Faulkner caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Jones led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.  Matthew Smith added three solo and one assisted tackles.

Lexington Catholic had to make a defensive stop in the final minute of the game on a 2-point conversion attempt to hold on for a 15-14 victory over Covington Catholic.  The victory proved costly as Lexington Catholic lost QB Legend Brumbaugh early in the game with a collar bone injury.  Lexington Catholic recorded 17 first downs and 303 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 11 times for 119 yards.  Covington Catholic recorded 19 first downs and 293 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 32 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Jaylen Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 155 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries.  Kirk Fagot completed 14 of 18 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown.  JJ Ogbogu caught eight passes for 43 yards.  Donovan Morris added three receptions for 22 yards.  Jaylen Jones caught twp passes for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Andy Hickey led the defense with 11 solo and two assisted tackles.  Austin Pedroche added eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Kirk Fagot recorded five solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.

Grant Dyer led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 110 yards on 14 carries.  AJ Mayer completed 14 of 34 passes for 147 yards with one interception.  Brent Angel caught five passes for 79 yards.  Ryan McGinness returned two kickoffs for 80 yards with a long return of 64 yards.  Anthony Best returned two kickoffs for 71 yards with a long return of 47 yards.  Kameron Butler led the defense with nine solo and seven assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Matthew Theil added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Jacob Steins recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 25 yards.

Boyle County raced out to a 43-7 halftime lead on their way to a 43-21 victory over Anderson County.  Boyle County recorded 11 first downs and 361 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized four times for 39 yards.  Anderson County recorded eight first downs and 211 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized twice for 14 yards and lost two fumbles.

Cory Swanner led Boyle County’s ground game with 75 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Josiah Robbins carried the ball three times for 67 yards and two touchdowns.  Josiah Robbins completed nine of 12 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns.  Mack Cox caught four passes for 106 yards and a touchdown.  Eric Brown caught a 64 yard touchdown pass.  Zach Hodge led the defense with six solo tackles.  Austin Bodner added four solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Mack Cox recorded three solo and one assisted tackles.

Brydon Labhart led Anderson County’s ground game with 32 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Gunner Gillis completed nine of 24 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns.  Blake Franklin caught five passes for 97 yards and a touchdown.  Tyler Peters added three receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Cade Cotton led the defense with five solo tackles.  Brydon Labhart added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Tyler Green chipped in with four solo tackles.

Lexington Christian Academy improves their record to 4-0 with a 62-33 victory over Estill County.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 18 first downs and 536 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized seven times for 54 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Estill County recorded 13 first downs and 347 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 35 yards.

Dillon Wheatley led the LCA ground game with 250 yards and five touchdowns on 17 carries.  Brett Wilkins carried the ball six times for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Brayden Miller completed eight of 16 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Drayden Burton caught two passes for 85 yards and a touchdown.  Ryan Stucky added two receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Kyle Paske recorded two receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown.  Clay Elliot led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles.  Dillon Wheatley added three solo and nine assisted tackles.  Wade Drake recorded four solo and five assisted tackles.

Dylan Spivey led the Estill County ground game with 138 yards and three touchdowns with 13 carries.  Kordel Day carried the ball 18 times for 106 yards and a touchdown.  Dawson Bingham carried the ball eight times for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Logan Beckler completed one of two passes for 12 yards.  Dawson Bingham caught one pass for 12 yards.  Blake Francisco led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles.  Dawson Bingham added three solo and two assisted tackles.  River Kelley chipped in with three solo and two assisted tackles.

Lafayette dominated tonight in a 56-7 victory over Boone County.  Lafayette recorded 15 first downs and 513 yards of total offense.  Lafayette averaged an eye-popping 17.1 yards per offensive play.  The Generals were penalized 10 times for 87 yards and lost a fumble.  Boone County recorded 12 first downs and 149 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized twice for 10 yards, lost two fumbles and was intercepted three times.

Mason Alstatt led Lafayette’s ground game with 152 yards and two touchdowns on five carries.  Walker Wood carried the ball four times for 140 yards and one touchdown.  M. Silvestri added 45 yards and a touchdown on one carry.  Austin Serafini carried the ball once for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Walker Wood completed six of 10 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown.  Quinten Brown caught three passes for 39 yards.  M. Guilfoil caught a 28 yard touchdown pass.  Tejrin McCoy led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Vence Hill added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Ean Shaw recorded four solo and three assisted tackles.  TJ Matrin scored on a four yard fumble recovery return.

Amadou Diaw led Boone County’s ground game with 94 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries.  Alex Schwartz completed three of 10 passes for 37 yards with three interceptions.  Dylon Bishop caught three passes for 37 yards.  J. Johnson led the defense with two solo and one assisted tackles.  Joe Ganster, Devin Ruberg, and Dylan Kramer each recorded two solo tackles.
